Just making the big show is a win in my opinion. The level of competition and caliber of equipment at some of these big shows, it’s no small feat. Awesome Job ! Good meeting you too. Lookin forward to the next Race !
Good run buddy! I thought you were gonna march to the front until that caution hit. Still nothing to be ashamed of though finished better than you started and drove the car to the trailer can’t beat that.
Great run J. Love ALL of your videos. Being an asphalt street stock guy up here in New York, Its a treat to watch u guys run in November, our season ended 6 weeks ago. GREAT stuff tho. Keep doin what your doin. I can telll you REALLY love what your doin, and that's what ita all about. Keep up the great work.
Job well done sir. That place is awesome. Hopefully next year we can come up there and run with ya. I love that place. Found it when I worked up there 6 years ago. I live in Texas. My family hates hearing me talk about that track. But, it's on my list of places to race. Keep up the good work, we'll keep watching.
The car sounded great when you were running the 3rd groove up, when you switched to the low groove it worked for a bit but then lost it. I think when you went low in the turn you should have run the 2nd groove in the straights and drop back down for the turns. That would have kept the rpms up a bit and widened the turn. But you did a great job and the car did looked hooked up.
that 3rd groove was working great for several laps but then the exit off on each corner got treacherous and I was struggling to carry the speed up there.
You did an awesome job buddy the old girl didn't let you down some of them guys put brand new tires on for that race if you would have had them you might have finished a little better but they ain't cheap but I really enjoyed watching the video again you did an awesome job. But I'll catch you in your next video but you have a good one talk to you later
Looked like that leafer was drivi ng very well. If you had a little more forward drive it would have definitely went forward. Don't know much about leaves even tho that's what I started on 50 years ago.Good racing on ya buddy How does one get more drive in a leaves? Maybe more anti squat to create drive? Good racing on ya buddy.
Definitely lowering blocks are the number 1 thing to add to get more drive. Those and longer shackles lets you raise the front spring mount giving you that anti-squat
i think the gm 4 link metric does have an advantage on the super slick because you can get more drive while still being able to make it turn. to me that window of what works on leafs is narrower. I got really close to perfect Sat night but its a harder game to hit it just right like that on leafs.
I will say this Patrick, My camaro is a Hell-of-a-lot more forgiving on asphalt scuffs and 10 inch rims than these 8 inch hockey pucks so I know where you are coming from on that.
No sir, I do not agree, more pinion angle is just binding the u-joints and sapping power. ease up on that left foot, same difference and not near as hard on that drive shaft 😉
@@DIRTRACELIFE Jason that is true. That seems to be the norm for big races. At least in my experience. This is why we didn’t go to Charlotte this year. Lots of expenses with little return
Well I definitely do have an opinion on this so here it is: there are 2 undeniable facts: 1- the car is going in a circle and 2-the car is always faster rolling instead of sliding. So if these 2 things are true, then stagger that matches the rolling turn radius is ALWAYS better. However, that doesn't mean there aren't racers out there who will tell you they are faster with no stagger or even reverse stagger. Sure I believe them. . . but I also believe that their wrong stagger is just helping to crutch some bigger problem that if they found and fixed it, would make the car even faster WITH the correct stagger.
Hi there, Thank twice about billing your metric car. Build a better Camaro Leaf spring car. And don't be like everybody else be different. By the way, when did you take off the composite leaf and put on multi leaf springs? Thank you George George
There are a lot of things going on that have lead to leaf cars struggling in the CRUSA SS big races. Its everything from specific rules to give the metrics an advantage, to how the tracks are prepped specifically to go dry slick plus a lot more. I love how a leafer drives and I know how to make them work but I have one already and I have never built a metric. so gotta try one!
Great run! Thanks for taking us along!
Absolutely 😉

Yes sir, Hope to see yall at the Talledega Ice Bowl 😀
Good run buddy! I thought you were gonna march to the front until that caution hit. Still nothing to be ashamed of though finished better than you started and drove the car to the trailer can’t beat that.
yes sir, I was very happy with the ole girl. She did all I could have ever asked 😉
Good run, Jason. We watched you both nights on CrateRacinUSA TV. Really enjoyed the videos as well. Congrats.
Thank you sir

Awesome brother job unfortunately I had to work away from home so couldn’t make it but I enjoyed getting to see you run the home track!
Absolutely John, was a good run. I'll be back next year.
You were much smoother on the throttle than in previous races this year looked good 👍
Different engine and drive train and I really know that car was making a huge difference.

Appreciate it Jeff, Eventually we'll be at the same track at the same time!

That's the face of a happy racer ,great job Jason
yes sir, I was happy with how the ole leafer performed. I would have loved to win it but the ole girl didn't disappoint me either.

You did a great job. That had to be a fun weekend.
Thank you 🤗

I see the frisky motorsports car in your video. Two social media stars at one race. So cool.
I'm not in the same elite level of racing status as Frisky LOL.
Great run brother, you brought the car home in 1 piece!
Thank you Nick
Congratulations on making the big dance an.bringinh her home in 1 piece
Yes sir, And Rachel was REAL HAPPY about the one piece part 😆
Saw u were riding with russ ..I'll holler at him he's only couple miles away..good run..congrats
Thank you Donnie, yeah Russ Gabbert is good folks.
Great driving big fan
Thanks Leroy, I appreciate it.
Commenting as I watch.
We run 1/2" to 5/8" toe out.
same here
Well I can tell I am calmed down quite a bit on the wheel at a 1/2"
@DIRTRACELIFE your throttle control sounded better too.
That motor has a fantastic cam for motoring up in the slick. Its always been easy to throttle up with
@DIRTRACELIFE that always helps!!!
Hell Yeah Good Job!!! Do you think the coilspring cars are more consistent when the track changes to dryslick?? Keep up the awesome videos

@@DIRTRACELIFE Ty. I raced leafs for years but never on small tires like the H500s. So I guess what I am sayin is we had alot to lean on
I will say this Patrick, My camaro is a Hell-of-a-lot more forgiving on asphalt scuffs and 10 inch rims than these 8 inch hockey pucks so I know where you are coming from on that.
Wondering if more pinion angle would increase drive? Sandy Sanders
No sir, I do not agree, more pinion angle is just binding the u-joints and sapping power. ease up on that left foot, same difference and not near as hard on that drive shaft 😉
It sure was steering good. 👍
Yes, VERY good in that feature. I was pretty comfortable wheelin her on that slick.
@@DIRTRACELIFE for that track on a cold night says a lot!! 👍👍
Good run. Perhaps In hindsight you may have needed to have a new set of tires for the main. But I understand that is expensive
very very expensive especially when you know you are going to be bangin rims with a bunch of drivers hell bent to get to the front.
@@DIRTRACELIFE Jason that is true. That seems to be the norm for big races. At least in my experience.

Good run
Jason I run 1 1/4 reverse on my modified but I know I had a bunch more motor ! On leafs
Bunch a motor and bunch a dynamic steer would sure let that work.
Great job bud.
Thanks 👍
What’s your opinion on “Zero” stagger on the rear to prevent a loose off condition?
Well I definitely do have an opinion on this so here it is: there are 2 undeniable facts:

@@DIRTRACELIFE
My “theory” on this is. One tire will almost always break traction with stagger on the rear.
Come on man, hammer down.
I was tryin!
Jason why the steel springs
Several of the tracks around here will not allow composites in the Factory Stock class so I went back to steel.
Hi there, Thank twice about billing your metric car. Build a better Camaro Leaf spring car. And don't be like everybody else be different. By the way, when did you take off the composite leaf and put on multi leaf springs? Thank you George George
I don’t think you are aloud to run leaf spring cars in the races he runs the metric
You can run a Camaro but they will not keep up in CRUSA lol
Anything more than 108” wheelbase.
There are a lot of things going on that have lead to leaf cars struggling in the CRUSA SS big races. Its everything from specific rules to give the metrics an advantage, to how the tracks are prepped specifically to go dry slick plus a lot more.

@@Andrew_406 I agree. My favorite was the strut cars. You can thank Wyatt Hill for getting them banned from CRUSA 😂 Nobody stood a chance.
Will they let y’all run American racers
In Factory stock yes, I can run the A.R. G60. but in CRUSA street stock it's strictly the Hoosier H500
