If you turn the bed per suggested, will you still be able to open it to access the storage? Also, you'll be having to watch tv sideways if your tv remains where it is. Another thing, there seems to be space on the top shelves of your closet. Put the stuff that's inside the three soft baskets (socks, etc) inside the white storage bins and put the bins on those shelves. Then use the soft baskets for your towels, like roll each towel and stand them up inside the soft basket. They'll be organized and easy to grab and use. You can then keep those soft baskets on top of the dryer or washer.
Have you thought about getting two small arm chairs at the end of the bed? I’m not sure if there’s room for that but that may fit better than a couch and you could keep everything else as is
If you turn your bed and fit it in the alcove, you can get a small couch and put the back of the couch towards your bed (with a small walk space between) and that would serve as a "divider" as well and you could sit on the couch to watch tv. You could also then use that free little table as a side table for the couch. That's what it is. It is meant to be able to slide under the couch and over the arm to save space when not using it. You could even play around with putting your kitchen table on the opposite wall from where it is now.
@@LuciaCordaro I commented before watching the whole video. I think it could work also with a small couch right at the foot of your bed as well, like you're thinking. It just depends how much room you want between the couch and wall for your living area.
Get some bins for organizing the top of your closet. There is so much space up there that isn’t being used very well currently. All the bins on the floor can easily fit up there.
A few ideas/suggestions … - use your vertical space. Go tall with your furnishings. - get yourself a lingerie chest to go on the wall outside of your bathroom next to your closet. They are usually tall and narrow with lots of drawers. Then you don’t have to store your bras and underwear in bins on the floor of your closet and it gives you a top surface for jewelry, perfumes, trinket trays, etc. - get some peel and stick wall paper to cover your dark wood pieces. Lots of people use it to cover countertops they want to update. I’m sure you could find a faux marble looking one to make your dining table and your book case more feminine vs the permanence of painting them. - what if you put your dining table/counter lengthways against the wall where you were thinking about putting your couch. And use your couch as the divider between your bedroom and kitchen. Face it toward your bed so you can see the TV from it. You could create a gallery wall above the end of it on the wall between your bedroom and kitchen. - I’m thinking you might regret putting a bench and coffee table at the foot of your bed UNLESS you only store stuff you’ll never use underneath your bed. I’m betting you’ll get really tired of having to move it every time you need something from under your bed. - Totally agree with letting the dark colored ottomans go. Even if you wanted to have one, sell those and order one that fits your color scheme/aesthetic.
Replace the shelf for your jewelry with a small three drawer chest and put socks bras etc in there with jewelry on top. Move bed like others have suggested and add a comfy chair you can sit in and use for guests😊
I would totally move the shelf and flip the bed.. but I like to sleep in a small cozy space, so it’s up to how you like it. I think you should get an adjustable arm mount and put the tv on the wall next to the window, then you can watch it from the kitchen and the the bed.
You are making great progress on setting up your apartment and organizing! I agree with those who have suggested maxing out your top closet shelves. That may allow you to get by without a dresser and instead put one or two armchairs in that space so you have a comfy place to read, sit with friends who come over and if you wanted to watch tv in one of those chairs you could easily move it out angled toward the tv to watch and put back against the wall when done.
Didn’t that turn out great!! Love that she’s using the shelves to display her nicest things. Now it just needs to be a lighter color so you can see what she’s trying to display!!
looking great! Try to use command hooks behind your bathroom door! you can layer things The longer you live there you will find more ways to put things away . It is always fun to find new ways to put things in your beautiful home! keep the vlogs coming!
I've been watching your apartment set up videos while setting up a nursery for my first baby and it's been a fun way to get motivated to finish organizing and putting things together 😊
I love the green white in the bedroom looks so bright makes the space bigger. I would suggest getting a wide big painting hung up on the wall next to your bed.
Yes have a small couch where you said you would put it and mount or have a shelf to put the T.V. on on the wall between the bedroom and the kitchen; You can see the T.V. from the sofa or while you are sitting at the island or if you have the right mounting bracket the TV. can be pulled out and pointed towards your bed. Remember small spaces appear bigger with mirrors and also some nice plants here and there. I watched a designer and he said when you do not have floor space you can use go up space with shelves. You have to watch Alexander Gator a young Canadian designer who does a lot of studio apartments and also Studio Ploy another designer that does studio apartments and he is so creative. Good luck with your decorating.
I think you're tired because you overschedule yourself. like in this video, you start saying you carved out a whole day for apartment stuff and then it turns out you're also doing other things and running a 5k? you need to chill a little with all the physically demanding things you do and give your body a break.
I love how things are coming together. I think that you should order under the cabinet motion sensor lights for the kitchen. They would brighten up that area.
I think you should turn the bed around. The foot of the bed towards the kitchen . So the bed fit a in the Conner. Get a room divider in between the end of the bed and the table. Like your videos.
Lucia I think reading all the great ideas tired me out more than your energetic schedule- Great job organizing! I agree it clears the mind so you can be motivated to design your layout. I don’t have any suggestions- just agree that the acetone will remove the stain 😜
The little table is for a chair 🪑 or couch to slide the bottom, underneath and have a tray across the top so you can do work on 🥰💄💋❤️💖 not sure what space you could use it in. I like your bed the way it is I might put your beanbag or little storage stools at the foot of your bed and you can sit on those and watch TV instead of being in your bed, I think you’re doing an awesome job on decorating. Just my two cents.☺️
You have been jamming w/the organization! Love that you can store stuff under your bed 😂…. The pink mirror seems outta place 🤷♀️. Can you mount it on a wall somewhere? Near the entry? Mabes once you put up some colorful art to tie in the pink…it will feel more connected?
Nice apartment! But... I think it feels more like a bedroom because the bed takes so much space. If you put something at the foot of the bed to watch TV you will have even less room. If you put the TV on a full motion tv wall mount and move the bed, I think you can have a small loveseat next to it with a small ottoman/coffee table in front. You can then watch Tv from bed, kitchen, dining table, or "living room." Anyway, it is your apartment and you can do whatever you want and it will be good. Enjoy!!
What a great feeling to be more settled and organized. Looks great. Alexandra Gater has amazing videos re: space planning and decorating for studios/small spaces that I am sure can give you great inspo.
I think you should leave bed where it is.get a slim line sofa for end of bed and use the ottomans as either footstools or a coffee table(2 uses) Well done tho it's starting to look fab 👌
Another wonderful video...yes if you reposition your bed where your headboard is on the side wall and get a small love seat with back against your bed and you will have somewhat separate space. 🐾🐕🥀♥️🙏✝️
Would it maybe work if you took your bed and put it parallel to your window and then you'd have a little sitting space next to it in the far corner of the room?
I think you should turn the bed as it would give you so much more room for a couch. If you move the bookcase over to where the black thing is you could move the bed around and then be able to put a couch so that you can watch TV from that.
I live in NW Arkansas, and I have lots of recs on places to visit and explore! Would love to share if your work trip is bringing you to my part of the state (Bentonville / Fayetteville area) ☺️
For some reason, the comment I left earlier is missing. What I said was: I don’t bother with drying racks. They take up way too much space. I use a clothes rack to air dry my clothes. I just use clothes hangers and my clothes don’t have those weird lines on them from the drying rack, and they dry a lot faster. Like I said, I just use hangers to hang my clothes on the rail. It’s a game-changer. I bought two from IKEA, you can just do a search for clothes rack, see what you think of this as an option.
@@LuciaCordaro Same. I think you might like using a clothes rack better than a drying rack. Assembly is less complicated and your clothes will dry faster and without lines from a drying rack, because you’d be using clothes hangers instead of putting your clothes on horizontal lines.

If you rotate the bed the couch can float in the center of the room you can have a mini living room essentially.
True true I just love how the bed is right now
Hi Lucia. You can use the two ottomans as a bed bench by putting them next to each other at the end of your bed.
That’s an awesome use for the ottomans but they just need to be the same color and go with the lighter aesthetic she’s going for.
