    6 - The Holographic Principle

Great video Vickey, glad to see you again! I guessed 90% of this correctly. I knew you would put Phantom Agony last and Consign after that. There was no doubt in my mind that you would pick TQE as #1 and I remember Requiem being your favorite in older videos.

I knew I'd be super predictable to those who watch me regularly but it was a simple and fun video to keep the channel going so oh well! What is your order Omar?

It's hard to think of a definite order because for the longest time I used to be one of those people who thought "old Epica" was the best Epica. I still enjoyed the new stuff but but it didn't compare to the old. I was basically you but backwards. But now I enjoy both equally because their newer stuff just gets better and better.
So my list (for now) would probably be:
      The Quantum Enigma
      The Phantom Agony
      The Holographic Principle
      The Divine Conspiracy
      Design Your Universe
      Consign to Oblivion
      Requiem for the Indifferent

It was difficult for me in the middle of my ranking, I was just sat looking at the covers like a lost puppy! I' glad that the new Epica is winning you over more, it keeps you excited for them!

I have the same issue with RFTI and TQE they are both great albums, RQFTI used to be my fav album also, but I think TQE defines what Epica is and also it has an amazing artwork.
    My top 3:
    The quantum enigma
    Réquiem for the indifferent
    Tha Phantom Agony

It's good to find other that love RFTI because so many fans seem to think it's a low point! It's a masterpiece! I only just got beaten by Epica's defining album TQE! Thank you for watching!

I've been giving it a good listen all week and hope to film my thoughts for a video very soon! I'm loving it so far!

Hey Vickey. Good subject. Wow so tough to rate best albums because they are all great. I agree that Quantam Enigma is the best album. It just has so many memorable songs. After that, really hard. I do like Holographic Principal but not all songs as good. I love Design your Universe because Kingdom of Heaven is probably one of my top 3 favorite Epica songs. It is just so great. I think Retrospect is also way up there. It is one of the best live albums and I listen to it a lot. I also really like recent Ep's Solace System and Attack of Titans. I forgot to catch up and tell you I recently saw Kamelot, Delain, and Battle Beast. It was fantastic concert. I like Battle Beast. Kamelot is great but very loud and heavy. I have seen Delain again for like 5th time and always enjoy them. Evanescense is coming back but not sure will see. I am kind of waiting for more new material now as they play same stuff from 3 albums a lot and more focus on orchestral arrangements. They are playing with Lindsay Sterling. Tarja is coming and probably will go. One last thing. I think you would enjoy seeing Garbage. They are playing their best album, Version 2.0 and have several UK dates in September. Check out if want something different even though old but they were extremely popular in 90's.

Sounds like you've seen some good things recently! I've pre-ordered Attack On Titan so a review is on the way! Evanescence is a really expensive show but worth every penny, so inspirational! I'm glad you enjoyed this video!

I completely agree about the phantom agony......my least favourite and never listen to it. However, Sensorium is one of my favourite Epica songs.
Yep.....I’m sick of cry for the moon.....don’t actually like it tbh. They played it at the last Epica gig I went to to my huge disappointment.

There are some good songs on there but not enough to make me rank it over the other albums, I'd love for them to retire Cry For The Moon at shows!

Quantum Enigma is vastly overrated. Unchain Utopia is about as good as the mid-tier songs on Phantom Agony in terms of memorability.

It's so strange to hear that you feel this way as I feel like it's the other way round! I could happily go to a gig and not hear anything off the first two albums.
