I agree the evo wheel on T598 feels very nice to play with. The overshoot does really help with making the heavier wheel feel very nimble to react. Also the slight dampening it adds due to extra weight and larger radius helps it feels a bit more natural.
Yep! I agree! No 5nm or 6nm dd wheel can beat the older flagship belt wheels. I think the tgt11 and the cswv2.5 are goated and ive yet to find a 5nm dd wheel I like mlre then 7nm belt wheels. They just feel stronger and have a better feel for where the car is. Dd was very much designed for stronger motors. Its very clear that dd is best with the stronger motors. When you feel 20nm dd wheels and use them lower its just such an amazing feeling the suspension the loading and unloading. The snap and speed but loerr nm dd wheels dont have half of that feeling. Yet belt does. Its why ive always told higher end belt owners to not upgrade unless they go over 10nm and get ready to dial it in. Ive never ever enjoyed a single dd wheel under 8nm. And i atill preder the 20nm ones. There is a reason why the earlier dd wheels are 20nm+. Due to testing and finding servo motors peak performance. Again dont actually set it to 20nm. You set it much lower. You can use it at 8nm and its going to feel way more connected then an 8nm dd wheel does. Just how it works with that dynamic range. I think they can make the thrustmaster feel better but I dont think its going to get where I like it. I cant do lighter anymore. I cant not feel that really nice potent loading and unloading. Thats one of thw most important parts for knowing where the car is at. Understeer and oversteer effects.
I raced with a 5nm Moza and had a great time with it. Yes I didn't get all the details of a higher Nm base, but I had no problem dialing in the weight transfer and grip loss at the expense of lowering some other details. As long as it's paired with a light wheel like the wheel that comes with it or something like the KS wheel I found it to be a great experience. Absolutely no regret from me. Moving to a more powerful wheelbase it's obvious I'm now able to use a much higher level of road and curb details etc but I could happily use the R5 again and still have a great time..

That is the million dollar question my friend but that's exactly why Thrustmaster T598 is only 500 bucks much easier to impulse buy it then buy pedals and a wheel later. But my honest opinion is that the T598 is more than sufficient to enjoy Sim Racing on console and PC at 5NM the Logitech G pro is also pretty awesome. I think either way will be a decent option going forward. I plan on getting a G Pro next year so I will know more about it then
@ I watched your new video about this topic (Logitech g pro or t598), and I really enjoyed it. Your argument about the cockpit and needing a better rig for 11nm was very relatable to me. That does make a lot of sense and something I never thought about before. I have a cheap Insignia setup and it already rattles and squeaks with my G923 and G Pro would probably tip the thing over every time I steer the wheel. Haha. Thanks again!!
No experience with the t598, t-gt2 is a really good wheel, waiting for the t598 base the be sold seperatly, don't need a 4th wheel and a 3th pedal plate.😅

Right around Black Friday sale. In my area the T598 is $50 more than the TGT II bundle. Which one to pick? I sold my Moza R9 and looking for the new wheel base for play GT7
Its 499 for a full setup I wouldn't call it a disaster Its a great beginner setup the tgt2 is still 800 bucks so value wise it wins. In gt7 the tgt2 IS better legit. However. In other games i play wrc for example, I greatly prefer the 598
From what i see from your reviews so far you are unable to set up the wheels settings and full unable to drive correct a race car. You are only for arcade race and not sim,so its cleary why you choose a child wheel for noobs like T-GT II and avoid any DD wheel. so sad after so many videos your knowledge is under bottom and seems logical to you to copy other youtuber reaction cause of lack of logical opinion

I would choose those over any sub 8nm dd wheelbase. I'm sure he will experience 20nm dd wheelbases later but yes it will take some adjusting as it will be very strong for him or anybody but god does high nm dd wheels feel good even when set lower. But naw he's used dd wheels and he will more in the future.

T-GT II is the best for GT7 at the moment T598 still hasn't been patched for GT7

Sounds like the Thrustmaster T598 has been nothing short of a disaster! Quite a few videos now saying its a let down. Shame really.
It's not a letdown it's just not widely supported yet.
