I just love the irony that Michael, who is always trying to come up with million-dollar ideas, walked out on the one crazy idea that would have actually made him a millionaire.
the fact that no one else is brining this up is wild because both him and Dwight argued about ideas and also schemed ideas in earlier seasons like Shoe La La or when they where aruging about toilet buddy lol

Wallace walking down the driveway waving, the stinger with Scotty, and the teacher panicking-waving on the toilet are three of my favorite funny moments from the office and they’re all in this episode.
The preschool teacher dated Rashida Jones' character on Boston Public. Makes it even more hilarious that he and Jim didn't get along.

For me, Gabe brings some priceless moments that make the "extra" nature of post-Carell office worth it. The storyline with Justine and his interactions with Andy, Erin, and Dwight bring me belly laughs in otherwise lackluster episodes.

I'm an electrician and one i walked into a hall in a client's house and he was on the toilet with the door wide open. We chose to never address it and I think that's the best option

Geez Erin and Gabe. I remember feelin like I was watching a sitcom and not real people when they joined. The Office started hitting every beat Greg Daniels was wisely against after he started Parks & Rec.
Kathy Bates was in Fred Claus... in my top 5 Christmas movies... Sinéad O'Connor singing Silent Night brings me to tears... RIP Sinéad

I loved Kathy Bates. Having a "star" on your show doesn't have to be the end of the world, especially if they are only there temporarily. You are going to need some new blood if you are going to keep this thing going for more than a couple of seasons. Every well-known actor that comes on the show is just there for a short stint; it shouldn't be that big of a deal.
I couldn't tell if Wallace was depressed, aimless or just beat down from the past however many years of trying to save DM, only to get fired anyway. "Suck It" is exactly the kind of idea you come up with when you have been laid off & play drums with your kid all day.
Michael seemingly not "getting it" might be a result of no one else realizing that his way actually works in the end, in his mind at least. Under his leadership, this branch is the only thing that survives DM and he doesn't adhere to traditional corporate values. But in comes Sabre with even more "corporate" rules & policies and you can see the frustration. I don't know if that is exactly what the writers were going for as a reason though.
I liked the episode honestly. I have never wanted "sabre" to be pronounced sa-bray so bad in my life!
It's crazy how nice a guy Andy Buckley is... every single time I see him in ANYTHING, I can't help but smile... he was awesome in Scorpion as well and if you wanna cry BUCKETS, watch his episode on 9-1-1... WOW
I really enjoyed this review! As usual I appreciate any behind-the-scene observations you provide in these field guides. While I may not give it a 4 (a high 3 for me), I do agree that this episode does not remotely deserve such hate, and you pointing out this is the last of Michael and Wallace made me quite emotional actually. Also the Andy and Erin singing bit is one of my favorite of the season and even the whole series.

"He opened it like an ape" great quote! The pre-school bathroom really bugs me. I understand the door not locking for the children, but yicks. There could be a lock high up for adults, I wouldn't want kids walking in on me using the potty.

Ah, Gabe! I forgot about him. I find him truly delightful. So glad to have him in the show honestly.
Super is a pretty good movie! And honesty I love this episode, it feels like a definitive marker between a few different eras of the office.

I really agree with what you’re saying that this is a great stand alone episode, but sort of marks the beginning of the end for the consistent quality of the series (at least for me-I know a lot of people think the quality dips dramatically in season 5, but I personally thought it was about even all the way through early season 7).

Okay this has nothing to do with this video, but I recently saw Beautiful Boy with Steve Carrell and it has some the office actors, he actually takes his son to rehab LOL (Meredith) and he is divorced to Holly and is married to Mrs. California in that movie .. just thought that was a little funny..

I loved seeing David wallace in a different role in this episode and the addition of Kathy bates to the cast. The only thing I didn't like was gabe and the absence of dwight

The office sucked!!! Yeah huh I'm a troll I should know!!! I love this show and miss the shit out of it. I've seen the first seven seasons at least 40-50 each! With all the extras. Imagine watching just one full season 40-50 Times. ? Obviously over the years, not all at one day. I'd do a complete season in a day, then watch the proceeding season all the way through. etc..etc.

You should not have to watch an entirely different series, that didn't even exist during the shooting of this series, to change your opinion of a cast member.
It may be interesting to add that watching Silicone Valley changed your opinion of Gabe, but it shouldn't come to bear in your review of The Office.
I think that's just how people evolve and bring different factors into watching stuff like this. I don't think it was a requirement; just my experience.

What? Do you mean Ellen Page? Wow, it seems they almost have the ability to go back in time and change the past. Imagine the amount of power in changing all your records of the past. Could criminals change their names in the past too and lose the police? Haha
My understanding is the actor legally changed their name to Elliot. To play in the hypothetical you suggested, if a criminal legally changed their name, the courts/police would refer to them as their legal name.
I understand you have to make money but cooling down on the 4-6 ad breaks per video will help you in the long run. It's really driving me away from watching these videos i really want to enjoy as an Office fan. Please reconsider.

Not liking scotts tots is a sign of a newer fan. Was made for the people actually appreciated the shows humour since it first aired. Literally my whole family has been watching the office since day 1, it's in nobody's worst episode list because cringe is what the show is about half the time

Whether you accept the transition or not, she wasn't going by Eliot at the time and the poster you showed even showed her name as Ellen.
It doesn't make sense to say Eliot was in it if that wasn't true.
