Your taste in RC cars is impeccable! You have recent reviews on the two cars I'm considering at the moment... They are this kit and the DBX-10. I have a good friend who has this kit and is already upgrading it to be a real performance belly dragger type rig. I'll be hard pushed to keep up with the pure rock crawling ability, so that leads me to the DBX for some trail fun along the way. (Easier on the pocket too if course) Question is, how do you think the DBX would cope on trails like the one in this video? That is a lot of the general terrain we cover, with more serious rock formations being the destination (where the DBX would take a rest;-) I'd hope to be able to "bash along" a bit on mild rocky trails, although most videos show it on fairly smooth terrain or jumps.

Actually the DBX is surprisingly good on rough trails, I've driven it along some of the same paths that a crawler would use. The big tyres help. You don't have the low speed control or the steering lock, so it's more a case of launching it over the rough stuff than manoeuvring it.

@@fiveeight0sixsix Awesome... Thanks for your reply! That's kinda what I was hoping. Makes sense too with swapping the high clearance links for a long, flat belly. Shocks and tyres do seem decent, and probably what really helps make the handling good too. I think it'll be fun. All the best!
