I bought this just to play this mod about a year ago but it was just too bare bones at that point, so I returned Reforger. Was pretty disappointed with it. Wondering if I should give it a shot again hopefully this video will help me decide. Thanks!
Yeah it’s seemed to have improved over the past year, the modding community have done wonders for reforger like they do with every arma haha there are some fun servers about 🙂
I did the same thing last year, it was rough. Things actually work now, the official servers are decent, and they work. The community servers is where it's at, but the servers are full most of the time.
If you couldn’t save, there would be no save file. You would just start a new game every time 😅 I played this, left it, came back and had to research how to delete said save to start a new game as I was in the same save file when returning.
Pro-tip for anybody starting this mod: you can rent your house out while still using it as your own house. So you'll earn money at least a bit easier - if that is what you so desire
All we need now is the ability to properly command the AI, preferably via a menu wheel like in SOG Prairie Fire or in ACE. I really don't want any more of that numerical menu bullshite in 2024. We should also be able to make proper commands on the map via a 'simple' pop-up menu when we click right mouse button, just like in games like Steel Beasts. Then I'll be happy to buy Arma Reforger.
Yeah can complete agree, I’m sure the modding community could even come up with a decent voice activated mod for commands, I still feel reforger was always to be used as a stepping stone to Arma4 but the modding community had taken this over haha. I’m yet to try S.O.G or the new WW2 DLC for arma 3 tbf but I’ve heard good things about S.O.G. Even map commands like you said could be implemented like there is when making scenarios etc, Could just simplify these to give basic commands via waypoints from the scroll wheel as you said. Or even draw them out on the map and give an execute command.
@@theurbanhermit365 The recent devlog (published yesterday or the day before) is almost entirely about AI improvements which gives me some hope. Still, the AI itself isn't that bad, especially modded, it is the convoluted command controls that are crippling the AI. SOG AI is great but is buggy when used outside of multiplayer/solo host and the DLC missions. Personally, I just use Drongos Command Enhancement by now, combined with LAMBS which gives you some additional commands (assault, hide, suppress) and the simple but effective "Go Go Go and Move Faster" mod which enables you to speed up your squad if they lag behind. PS: Keep up the videos, they are of great help and I always learn a new thing or two!
ah ill have to go check out the devlog then, good to see more improvements coming to any game, nice to see active devs even the modded ones. new episode of antistasi out monday, i may continue the reforger overthrow soon, just finding time to do so haha.@@sunbather1576
My 12 year old PC is to gpu and cpu underpowered to run this even on the minimum settings. When Openreach finally gets round to installing FTTP in this ground floor flat, I'll use the occasion as a reason to build a powerful gaming PC that I can run this OR Arma 4 when it is released at maximum setting with everything tuned up. Note: I may go the AMD gpu and cup route.
Been playing this, cant get past assassinate mission. I have restarted 3 times now, each time I select to kill the traitor, I dont get a target or the guards. I have gone through every building and every room in the town (including the area around the town), nothing. In one case there was one civ in the entire town. I killed him to make sure, nope. Right now seems to be a very broken MOD. All I can do is run around putting up posters, and refuel my jeep - sometimes. It's 50% - 50% that it will take fuel.

Not 100% sure tbh. I only tried it for a couple of hours if that for a showcase video. I do need to jump back in at some point but rumour has it, Antistasi Ultimate is coming to Reforger !
So everytime i go an download overthrow (xboxs) i get to pick faction and it doesnt load in and is stuck on that screen, should i have other mods disabled an just overthrow active or am i just a big dumdumb and missing something?
Can anyone PLEEASE tell me which mods work with Overthrow? Ive tried researching this but its impossible to find any info on, ANY help is seriously greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Im on PC btw

when i try to dl these mods on my xsx,it takes forever with the small files that should take 2 sec to dl.. everything else i dl go fast.,but not the files in arma reforger.Some files get dloaded,but there are always 2 ore 3 that wont finish..and then the mod wont work....anyone know what could be the issue?
How long are you waiting for these others to download ? Have you got a fast internet connection ? It happens with me sometimes where some will shoot up and others take 5 mins. I’m on super fast fibre internet as well haha. Maybe just leave the console for 10-15 mins let its do its thing then come back and check. Otherwise I’m not 100% sure, I’m on PC myself.
I did have this myself at first, i was missing a file in the mod. i removed the mods, re installed then verified files, it worked for me but i cant guarantee it'll do the same for yourself. Give it a try and see. I'm still relatively knew to the reforger game and its mods myself.@@kingashurofassyria6195

People tend to not mention the fact that you can't save any of your progress, which defeats the whole point of solo/sp playthrough..
If you couldn’t save, there would be no save file. You would just start a new game every time 😅 I played this, left it, came back and had to research how to delete said save to start a new game as I was in the same save file when returning.
I have no issues with saves
I'll have to check mine again, it was not saving anything like 2-3 days ago. On experimental, maybe I was doing something wrong 😂
Don't play arma experimental that's the test platform the full version works way better

It’s not perfect, it’s very new from being ported over so it’ll take some time to work out the kinks. Most likely just a current bug with the mod.

How does one recruit AI

Unload other mods, just try with Overthrow and see if that works. It may be another mod just stopping it as it may not be compatible 🙂

Graphically it’s better, it’s early on for this mod still in Reforger, it’ll get better as time goes on. Be really nice when they announce Arma 4 haha
