Traits and super traits are just behavioural modes that can be represented by algorithms that emerge from the physical structure of the brain itself so yes it is mechanistic. But when you are addressing consciousness, that is a completely separate issue that IS an emergent phenomenon that measures how self -aware you are of your presence within your reality which must be a result of the complexity of subsystems within the brain. Don’t get these two things mixed up.
