That’s a nice unit. I have a touchscreen in my truck and I have a backup camera. My mic is mounted above my rear view mirror aimed at the driver seat seams to work well there. 👍🏻
Thanks for the tip on the parking brake Dave I'm wanting to install a radio that will allow me to run apps like that I got one of the ELM 327wifi obd II Scan and monitoring adapters this will work out perfect when I get a new radio!
wire the parking brake wire to a relay. it eliminates the switch and re grounds the wire simulating a parking brake. Many videos on UA-cam to show how its done.
kenny etenne I was just going to say that, you use the blue preamp output wire to close the contacts in the 12v relay which grounds the circuit on radio startup.
Lmao parking brake safety = TRIGGERED!!!!! Lmao its so dumb next can't turn volume down with out being in "park". Love it Dave just love it. Looks good though
All you needed to do was taking the parking brake wire from the radio harness and wrap it around / ground it to mounting stud on the back of the radio, good 2 go. Ran into that too and almost bought some bullshit.
You were right first about air packaging from sea level to altitude, air density/air pressure is higher the lower your elevation. Thus as a void filled with gas moves higher into the atmosphere the external pressure decreases and the internal volume grows, Example being weather balloons.
That e-brake wire could have just been grounded...... and saved you adding that switch or drilling holes into your interior panel. I had hoped you were going to go into detail about the steering wheel controls. I have a new Kenwood Excelon deck and a 2005 Ford F350 and I'm having trouble with getting that sorted.
I put the mic for my Bluetooth in the very top of the a-pillar in my 250. Works great and everyone says it loud and clear there. Have you checked to see if a micro by-pass is available for the alpine? I had to put one in for my pioneer to access all the menus.
I still use CDs, they sound 100x better than mp3s coming from that Aux jack and bluetooth. But since majority of my music are on my phone, I use Bluetooth as the sound quality sounds better than aux. I'll only use aux if my Bluetooth starts acting up which is rare. From time I still love listening to my old song favs on the CDs, sounds are always clear and crisp. But yeah, nice looking radio though. I'm more of a pioneer fan.
semiRockethr Okay, you're listening through a stock headunit of course you won't notice it, I also doubt you even play through different sources, so I also understand that you have no clue of what I'm talking about.....I have a full aftermarket system in one of my vehicles. I can tell a difference when playing music through CD, Bluetooth, AUX, USB, and HD Radio. AUX and USB always sounds the same. Most times, how the music was uploaded from wherever source plays a role as well because most song I download can sound bad, even so, the bad sound quality is played a lot cleaner when played by CD. Yes, you're right, "good for me", I love clean crisp sound quality, but as I said before, majority of my song are played through Bluetooth almost everyday.
semiRockethr Why? I used to rip old school music in "lossless" setting from CD to convert to MP3 format. Most songs I had in MP3, I would burn onto CDs. Playing MP3 music that I ripped in "lossless" will obviously sound great as if it was a CD. Same if I burned mp3 on to a CD it will automatically sound good. But most songs I've downloaded in mp3 does not sound good, because the uploader uploaded the music poorly resulting in low volume, highs has that slight faint raspy crunching sound. No need for me to play with CDs right now, but when I will whenever I feel like it.
What was the harness number you used I still have the stock pos radio but the wiring kit I got don't hook into the stock wiring? I know it sounds dumb but thays the best way to describe it
What dash kit did you use? Metra doesn’t make any that fit double din dash kits for 2005-2007 F250. They only set up they offered was for a standard CD player even though my dash could clearly accommodate a touch screen.
Hi hey a have a question what the size of a radio that i need to get i have a F250 like yours what size 7 6 inch radio whats your eecomendation thanks.
i have noticed.. i think the next video after you guys are done with the 6.7 engine swap, should be a race. you guys both have problems with your JZ's. so lets see who is the better mechanic and can figure out there problem first since its almost the same issue... i know who guys want to do a dyno competition. but i rather see who is the better mechanic lol
If you wire the parking brake wire to the ground wire on your stereo it bypasses the switch because it stays grounded. Therefore no switch is needed
Was gonna post the same, skip that switch business, ground that parking brake wire. Done.
He just nonchalantly glazed over the fact he played "mama yo!" Epic move

Thought I can do this, then I saw all the wiring and was like no I probably need to pay someone to do this haha

Good for you, while I am enjoying all my music from a single USB stick and not noticing that "bad" sound quality.

semiRockethr I never said anything about "bad" sound quality either...
You should try to rip your CDs yourself and then compare sound quality.

Damn that’s a nice stereo.
Yo Dave let me get the hook up on the $1 ratchet straps lol
Ivan GBs Cummins sells them once a year at their factories lol

Thank you Brother (:
What's the second plug on the back of the factory radio?
Hopefully u still get this but do u have a video on how u did the switch?
Hi hey a have a question what the size of a radio that i need to get i have a F250 like yours what size 7 6 inch radio whats your eecomendation thanks.
Thats all u gotta do man
just show me how to fucking take the radio out
You uh... might want to fix the spelling of "Stereo" lol
lol
do we need dash kit for 7 inch stereo to install ford e 250
Very Nice unit but $700 is the price of a cheap sh*tbox used car lol. I'll take my chances with a $120 Chinabay or alibaba android head unit
Douglas Chaney You'll suffer from the sound quality though.
Hi. Did you need the antenna adapter for this install? If so please provide part number.
No you do not need a switch
What type of truck is this?
F250
Just ground it to the radio itself
CD for DVDs
Get a new video up!!
Gerard Keegan I have been trying, been helping Trevor too much the last two weeks

$900 .. way too much.
Can you, like, stop saying "like" every other word? This was a video about a parking brake.
Talking smack about CDs and brought a fancy piece of trash 😂😂😂
this video showed absolutely nothing. waste of time
