Christopher Ward is an exciting Swiss watch brand based in London that is known for their recent innovations in high horology complication modular inventions in top of Swiss workhorse calibers like the Selita Elabore (top grade) sw220
Their Calibre JJ04 is one of these modular innovations featuring a beautiful glowing moon phase complication.

I’m with you about the Chronometer grade.
Had this been chronometer rated I think I would have bought one.
I do have CWs earlier Moonphase, and it’s a beauty.
COSC cert would go a long way towards justifying the price tag

Unfortunately it appears they have discontinued this model in flavor of the C1 Moonphase. No longer available on their website.

Got to disagree with you there! Something like a lower end Tissot or swatch is entry level. A $4,000 watch is not an entry level luxury watch that's absurd. Maybe for the 0.01%
Yes, you are not wrong. It's all objective, in my opinion. The Tissot swatch is entry-level, just like you mentioned, but I don't think of this as a “luxury” watch. I think they are “premium” products but not quite “luxury.”
It's essential to keep in mind that watch prices are all over the place. When considering a $45k Langa 1 one, $4k doesn't seem like a lot in that context. Someone could argue that 4k is also not luxury 😆

@@LosNTime everything's relative and I would say for the majority of the world a 900 to $1,200 watch is a huge luxury item. For somebody like me it's just one of my many watches but I completely understand how most people in this world live and to be able to spend anything above $200 - $300 on a watch for most people is a luxury. I would venture far enough to say that anything over $1,000 is luxury and everything over $4,000 is ultra luxury based on what the majority of the world can afford.
Yes I understand there are half a million dollar watches plus but they are reserved for the .0001% of the world.

Don't you find the logo a bit too big and distracting? The moon is lovely to look at though, even if it is a pretty useless complication. As far as discounts, I recall using the code 'loupe100' and getting £100 off the asking price, so searching for a discount code is probably worthwhile.

Good question; they used to be available on the CW site; someone mentioned this exact model has been discontinued in preference of the new C1 moon phase

I have a Bel Canto on order... This brand has really caught my attention. For me, the Twelve has no appeal at all -- too Rolex-like (and I really don't like Rolexes). This one, on the other hand, makes me want to do something stupid -- which is to buy one. I will continue to resist the urge 😜
