I'm new to FT8 and just finished watching your UA-cam video, enjoyed your video. I am running the IC-7200, the only cable that I do not have is the CT-17 / CI-V cable but I do have the A/B cable that is connected from the radio to computer. I noticed that when I enable TX (CQ) for 20m frequency 14.074 the transmit frequency goes to 14.073 500 then returns to 14.074 after TX. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong? Thanks.
Lots of confusion regarding the cable requirements to connect to PC. Some sites mention that only the USB A-B is required. What exactly does the CT-17 CI-V cable / module do ( out of production at Icom ) ?
If you could make a video on the hardware and cable setup for this radio to PC would be great for those of us who aren't as savvy. Thanks!

CI V cable needed for radio control.
@@Kensownvids No offense, but it's not required. The USB connection provides full CI-V communication.
Nicely done!
Wondering why you downloaded the original V 1.0 from the Icom site, there are several newer versions of that software.
Not on my game I guess.
You don’t need anything other than a single USB cable according to Icom themselves. ua-cam.com/video/szFnnwBCilI/v-deo.html
