Very helpful thanks, one thing i struggled with was the font size because when i downloaded the mac wsjt-x it defaulted to size 10 and with my eye sight it was too small but did find it, it was on the general tab and fonts, easy to change.

Nice video but trying to setup CQRLog on a Raspberry Pi400. Works until I try to edit or delete a QSO. The software crashes.

Hi. For Sonoma 14.6.1 after update the same problem. Everything you need to do is to copy com.jtdx.sysctl.plist to /Library/LaunchDaemons folder. Enter to folder cd /Library/LaunchDaemons and execute command sudo chown root:wheel com.jtdx.sysctl.plist . After that you should load it with sudo launchctl load . Everything should work even after reboot!

Today when updating MC OSX to Sonoma 14.6 the same thing happened to me and I got the memory error, but by applying the solution given by Jim (K7txa exW6JHB) I solved the problem. Kind regards. 73's. I added the following just before the "tell end" line: delay 5 quit This allows time for the commands to work and then quits the terminal program.

I don't know what WSJTX is, but I really appreciate this. I use a program called Klogg for looking at large files, and I had the same problem. This solved the issue for that also.

I ran into an issue u might have an answer for. Im tring to write the app for permanent M! memory fix for WSJTX. Ur instruction are very clear. Thank you! I followed them to the nth letter (4 times) But when I fo to save the Script editor file I get a pop error reading "Syntax Error". expected end of line but found identifier, when I close the pop up box the word FOR is highlighted in blue. I got these errors in earlier tries and realized I wasnt complying with ur line breaks and I had eliminated the quote marks. After fixing that it did save but then I removed it as I needed to make other changes elsewhere. Now it will not save because of the Syntax Error. Makes no sense to me as I there is no place for a line break or anything else before oe after the word FOR. Ideas??

MX922 is EASY-- there is a driver for it-- in the printer setup software you can add separately... i've done MANY canon printers--- BUT the ONLY ONE THAT WILL NOT is a TS702a. There is NO driver in the gutenprint database or the foomatic database-- no "print without driver" for it or anything. THIS particular printer WILL NOT WORK WITH LINUX-- period!!!! MX922 will work just fine-- wireless OR through USB (I always connect mine to the computer directly with a USB cable) and this works because Foomatic and gutenprint BOTH offer drivers for the MX in the database. DOWNLOAD a software called PRINT SETTINGS.. and it is there.. in both..

I dont get any transmit on the g90 out of wsjtx.. flrig fine, wsjtx output to usb pnp device but watts is 0.. anybody got a suggestion?

I'm new to FT8 and just finished watching your UA-cam video, enjoyed your video. I am running the IC-7200, the only cable that I do not have is the CT-17 / CI-V cable but I do have the A/B cable that is connected from the radio to computer. I noticed that when I enable TX (CQ) for 20m frequency 14.074 the transmit frequency goes to 14.073 500 then returns to 14.074 after TX. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

That's useful, as just installed cqrlog. Normally run jtdx which does Eqsl. But after a update ,jtdx won't run or even reinstall. Wsjtx MSHV both work ok. Updated the Hamlib files which solved the install problems, but now no audio input when it's configured correctly. The other programs are ok. Trace screen indicates internal audio problem. MSHV works very well. It's not a problem. Thanks for info.

Minor privacy concern/nit: In the script text, after sudo add the -k flag (eg "sudo -k sysctl ...etc...") to force sudo to prompt for password. This way, if the script is run while terminal is already open with sudo permission active it won't dump your password to the prompt.

First time on Mac mini M1 .I just found your video and I will try it soon if I can run ft8 without problems on Mac. My radios is the ftdx10 and the sunsdr pro.I install the wsjtx and get your peoblems as show .So there is no permanatly solution untill today for this?

Ken thanks for the fix - I've got JS8Call up and running now based on your script. FYI I found a few differences in the presentation from current Mac OS 13.2 Ventura (e.g. system preferences -> setting, and adding actions to automatically execute on login was found in General -> Login items rather than Users & Groups as it was previously).
