In the summer of 1986, my parents gave me a brand new Quadracer for my 14th birthday. I had so much fun with that thing! I would love to purchase another one, and restore it. Just like you did. Thank you for sharing the photos. Brought back some great memories...
Awesome job on the build!!!! I just starting rebuilding an 86 Lt250 that I am restoring back to new that will be on the market in the next few weeks!! I'm too old and beat up to ride anymore but I enjoy restoring the old 2 strokes from my/our youth back to new and keeping them alive for someone to hopefully enjoy as much as we did back then.......... I just finished a full top to bottom build on a 01 Kx 250 that will hit the market in a few days as well................ Sweet ride enjoy
Dude, your introduction may as well have been mine. I got my QuadRacer when I was 14 also and it was the 1985 model - the very first year Suzuki introduced it. They must've made a ton of money with these as it took Honda two years to release theirs. My very first quad was the 1984 125, but I ended up trading it in for the 185. I thought that front suspension was just awesome! From there, my life changed forever when I got the 1985 Suzuki QuadSport 230. I was so in love with that machine that I used to get all bundled up in the middle of winter in New England just so I could go down to the barn and look at it and sit on it. From there, we (my brother who had the 1985 Honda 250R three-wheeler, my father with his Honda Big Red and myself) would go for midnight rides again in the middle of winter on the snowmobile trails that went right through our property. I remember when it would be snowing, and I would pretend the snowflakes were stars and I was flying through space trying to weave through them like it was Star Wars. In the spring, I was tired of my brother smoking me on his two-stroke, so I traded my 'Sport in for the QuadRacer. That thing was a beast compared to my 'Sport, but I still couldn't keep my brother in sight because that 250R was tons faster than my 'Racer. To be honest, I missed the 'Sport and wished I never traded it in. Whenever I see videos like yours, it brings back some of the very best memories of my entire life. I would give anything - and I mean ANYTHING - to be able to go back and do it all over again. Those times were magic to me, and I'm tearing up as I type this. Thanks for helping me relive those times. I greatly appreciate it. 👍🏻
I couldn't tell by any of the photos, but does this have a genuine Full Floater suspension system? I remember Suzuki did away with it altogether in 1986 and went to a failed cam-style system, then settled on a system similar to Honda's Pro - Link in 1987.

Great Work!
Wow in 1985 I was 14 also, and my grand parents bought me a 230 quad sport. I wanted the racer but I didn't want them to spend to much.
😮 holy grale
