I love watching organization videos. This makes me want to reorganize my shelves soon.
I organize my bookshelf by genres, but after watching this video i start to thinking rearrange my books. Thanks for sharing this video.

Regarding old prescription glasses - Vision Aid Overseas has collection bins for old glasses in shops and optician offices across England, but I don't know if they're in the rest of the UK. My understanding is they send the glasses to partner organizations in several East African countries to be reused, but I don't know much about their reputation.
I'm in the US, but my local library has a donation bin for used glasses. I believe a charity cleans the glasses and gives them new homes. There might be something similar in the UK.

also idk in UK but at a bunch of glasses stores in Canada there's glasses recycling or donation boxes there

Actually your bookshelf is bigger than mine; whatever doesn't fit has gone into every closet of the apartment, basically. So, thanks for the inspiration to get going towards my bookshelves project.

I have some of those eggs which I got in Lyme Regis and have the same dilemma. They currently sit in a nice wooden bowl.... on my bookshelf....
I love clean up/unhaul videos! I’m into that sort of thing here at my own house. With fall coming and cooler weather, I’m about ready to tackle attic. 😖 I knew that sticky-outy shelf thing HAD to be for your cats! Very cute. Here in my little town in US our bank has a drop box for old glasses and Shriners pick them up and see that people who need them get them for free. Are Shriners in U.K.? The finished shelves look great, by the way.
I've never heard of Shriners but I'll have a look to see which companies take donated glasses, thank you!

You can take old glasses to specsavers and they’ll recycle it for you 🤓

Haha, I cut out a whole section of the video where I talk about that book sticking out the side of my book case! I've got a cardboard box on top of the book shelf, where my two cats like to go for a nap. Minerva can jump straight from the table to the top of the shelf, but Beedle is a bit less athletic, so he jumps onto the book first and then to the top of the shelf from there.

Since I once kept a real easter egg, like the painted chicken ones in my room as a kid, I know that egg is not real, cause you'd be dying of the horrible rotten egg smell.
