+elliot lipski Thanks Elliot. There are a lot of patterns that will work during the winter, but I have lots of success sticking to a Copper John, Brassie, or Zebra Midge, in sizes 14-20. Stone flies, Egg patterns, San Juan Worms are also popular for winter trout. My biggest tip for winter nymphing is hit the deeper slower water, and make sure your fly/flies are right on the bottom.
