I don't think the thots get preroll ads because their "content" isn't considered to be advertiser friendly lol.
honestly they should put all the ads on the vods instead and ditch the preroll and random ads during stream. Vod ad every 20-30 minutes that lasts 30-60 seconds.
true. if i click into a stream and get a preroll ad, i'm immediately leaving. that's it.

You mean the exemplification of a middle-aged complacent sycophant running on the fumes of nostalgia, hedonism, and greed, desperately trying to rekindle the joy games brought him in his childhood and meanwhile validating the delusions of every loser who watches him from Perth to Timbuctoo of being OK with leading joyless, unthinking lives, because he's "nice to listen to" and doesn't actually challenge you to think differently (like anyone respectable e.g. Tate, Tucker, Hinkle, his own dad) and always panders to the lowest common denominator of vapid scrubs just for clickbait black money with which he apparently does nothing but hoard like a dragon as he breathes in black mold, eats salt-encrusted fat, washes it down with Dr Pepper while pontificating on every conceivable issue with a clearly vested interest in always being right, never touching controversy like a coward (less money) but hyperintellectualising every petty thing at the first suggestion of genuine self-reflection, so long as it doesn't pertain to his own life, a flaw or change he could address to better himself and be a better role model to his community, as his dad said to step up and live a real life.
Love is cruel but it doesn't lie and Asmon knows it. He's in a cage, only the bars are made of 24kt gold and not iron. Actually sad. Glad I didn't end up like that. He legitimately thinks he's king of the rats but he's constantly being made fun of in chat. Convinces himself it's for money...k what are you going to do with that money? Just keep on living a shitty life? How inspirational.
I feel like it'd be better for Asmon to have a mental breakdown and publically suffer a fall from grace, much better long-term, then this grim path he's carved for himself.

If you see in dollar signs you won't have a very fun life. What use is money beyond basic survival amenities, utilities, and luxuries? The latter is avarice. And roleplaying as Diogenes isn't very compelling when you make so much money through unethical means (deception, and being complicit to advertising and marketing). That is of course if one is able to call a business unethical (imagine that!) And if you don't live dangerously you also will have a shitty life. It's a pity and nothing more.

I actually have a lot of issues with Twitch lately. Modules fail to load. I have to refresh to go from a white blank page to see the chat with failed to load messages, then another refresh fixes that and the streamer shows up. I'm sure it is probably something on my end but it only started a few weeks ago.
Don't yell it too loud but I've been getting a bug that just plays the ad in the prevue window, no sound. Its a great bug.
My stream doesn’t work for over a year and a half. My wifi is fine the connection should be good but it always shits out, displays streaming when it’s not streaming, and I’ve streamed multiple times for 3 hours and gotten a 10 minute vod. The other day I kept trying to stream and it only last 3 seconds before it bufferend endlessly. I switched from my phone wifi to my 4g same issue. It is a shit platform it only works for those that are the big creators. My 4g worked out in the middle of the forest in Western Australia and they’re telling me I can’t stream from my own home. Be better

I don't get the draw of twitch. Okay I'll watch my favorite youtube guy! *watches 45 minutes of him setting up the controls for a game* oh.. oh wait.. that would have been skipped in the youtube version. It's like surfing through TV channels at 6:45 back before you could rewind and fast forward live TV. Everybody is in the middle of doing something... and ads sometime happen in the middle of sentences and the streamer doesn't stop talking. I'll just go back to youtube where the guy uploads the interesting parts of the stream later.

It works fantastic. When I click on a stream I get pretty purple screen "commercial break in progress" while the stream plays in a tiny window above the chat and, obviously, there is no such break. They don't even play any ads for me but still prevent me from watching the stream... Now I have a choice of waiting there ~2 minutes and looking at that purple screen, use FF's feature to pop-up tiny player then fullscreen it, change quality an unmute it so I can watch the stream or simply leave. You can guess which option is my preferred.

@@ChainsawGutsFuck In Firefox you can pop-up any media player, move it around, resize it, etc. so you can mute the main player (which is playing ads), pop-up mini player that shows above chat during ads, full screen/resize it, unmute it and watch the stream while ads are playing. Of course, that's a lot of clicking and not worth it for 30s ads but at least you can do it...

I've been seeing a lot less ads on Twitch lately. The moment I see an ad longer than 1 minute, I just click off the stream and go do something else. So it seems I may not have been the only one with this habit and Twitch finally got a clue.
