    I love the vacuum idea with the separate pump and motor. I have an old one I am going to hook up for when the pool is in bad shape.

    If the PH was high, shouldn’t you use muratic acid first (to lower the PH) then the chlorine? Or does it really not matter which order?

    • @Gersberms
      @Gersberms 9 місяців тому +2

      I think it's not much of a difference. The acidity frees up chlorine once they combine in the water. Just don't mix chlorine and acid directly or you'll be creating chlorine gas.

    • @tiffanyearley8394
      @tiffanyearley8394 6 місяців тому +1

      chlorine contains cyuranic acid in tab form and in some liquid varieties as well, which will lower the ph, so by adding the chlorine before you adjust the ph, you ensure an accurate reading.

    Thank you for making this video!!
    In Florida a home owner had let the pool go for two years.
    I’ve dumped so much CL and shock in it. Got it to a blue color but the bottom was cake in debris. I couldn’t for the life of me get my portable waste vacuumed primed. For hours I’ve tried getting it primed and nothing. Any suggestions? Or a step by step how to prime it.

    • @PoolCareWorld
      @PoolCareWorld  Рік тому

      Keep adding chlorine it can flip fast with all that debris in it! Every time I can’t get it to prime it’s always one of these for me:the pump lid oring or the plugs on the bottom orings need cleaned or lubed or your hose connection has a airleak. Let me know what it was! Good luck!

      @@PoolCareWorldwill do! It’s a brand new pump. A plug in 1hp off Amazon. Now that you mention the hose having an air leak, that could be it. I noticed water come out where the hose and white cap meet. I bought the hose brand new and thought that was normal lol

      @@PoolCareWorldConnect your vacuum attachment and set it into the pool, put the whole hose into the water and fill it completely with water before connecting it to the pump. The hose needs to be full of water and placing it into the water is the way to fill it. Just hold onto the end you'll attach to the pump. Hold it under water until the air bubbles stop and it's full of water. This is the way you're supposed to do it.

    • @PoolCareWorld

      No but we’re happy to make one! The variable speed pumps need the schedule changed to 24/7 the single speed pumps you just remove the “off” pins off of the timer

    3 questions for you….
    1)are you using algae brush on all the pools? Plaster and fiber glass pools.
    2) why only 8oz of phosphate remover?
    3) I understand the amounts of chlorine needed to burn off the ALGAE,but why dilute the muratic acid? Why not just use 1 gallon of acid ? Help me to understand why only 1 gallon of muratic acid and not 4-6 gallons of muratic acid?

    • @PoolCareWorld
      @PoolCareWorld  Рік тому

      Only use algae brush on plaster or pebble pools /rock features. It will ruin vinyl or fiberglass finishes as well as some tile so be careful

    • @PoolCareWorld
      @PoolCareWorld  Рік тому

      8 oz is the recommended dose for how expensive the chemical is I always measure it out

    • @PoolCareWorld
      @PoolCareWorld  Рік тому

      Anything over a quarter gallon of acid should be diluted acid is heavier than water and it will and can fall straight to the bottom and burn the finish diluting helps spread it out evenly. I also would never add more than a gallon diluted of acid at one time for this reason.

      Wow, you’ve explained to me what my boss couldn’t explain to me. Learning so much from you. Also, do I need to buy“diluted acid” from a wholesale store or do o dilute it myself by pouring in 1/4 of acid into a cup (or something) and fill it with water?

    No way man. I grew tired of vacuuming this way 20 years ago. I just bought a trash pump and converted it to a dredger with a custom vac head.so it just sucks out the leaves, algae and all. Turns a job like this to a 10 minute job.

    Did you have to use something to help clear up the water after the acid, chlorine, phosphate remover, brushing, and vacuuming. I have a Pentair cartridge filtration system with an Easy Touch automation and i don't believe i can vacuum to water, so I'll have to vacuum through the filter. How can I tell when the filter cartridges
    need to be cleaned?

    • @PoolCareWorld
      @PoolCareWorld  Рік тому

      If you’re using the filter you’re going to have to monitor the suction if it looks anything like this Pool once clear it’s literally going to be need to be cleaned every other swipe so probably will have to clean the filter 20 times during the course of the vacuum. If you don’t want to go through that cut your pipe coming out of the pump into the filter and add a waste valve. Would you like me to make a video of this? Please subscribe!
