This park, Knoebel’s in PA, Waldameer in Erie, PA, Morey’s Piers in Wildwood, NJ (Wildwood lost a lot of dark rides and walk-throughs) Rehoboth Beach, DE and Ocean City, MD are lucky to still have dark attractions. Dorney Park near me no longer has the old ones but they have special wal-through haunted attractions in the fall, indoor and outdoor.

This is my childhood. My parents took me and my siblings here several times a year. This was always my favorite ride when I was a kid.

Oh my gosh, now your taking me back to the 70's 80's and 90's with this. The damn flying witch is still there...wow. They redid the entire facade though. I don't like it. But, at least they kept that Flying witch and the Gorilla Head working.
Anyway. My favorite ride was the Monster Mouse. That was the weirdest coaster I've ever been on, the way the cars were built, every turn felt as though you were falling off the track.
Last time I was there, I picked up some muscle from the beach. ( I took them home to cook, and after placing them in water, I looked into the bucket and one of them spat water up into my eye.) :) :) Sevres me right.
Thanks man, you're surely a traveler. I was born in Brooklyn..Crown Heights. A haunted House of a Hospital called Unity Hospital. (If you don't know what I mean, go research it's history). I'm surprised no one has made a movie about that place yet.
I was raised in White Plains NY. Went to a little high school named Valhalla High; not too far from the infamous Kensico Dam. I also studied film at Suny Purchase Univ.
Keep up the work man...you're GOOD!!!.
Where are you from again Mr. Louie?

baba duke thanks for all the support. I really appreciate you watching and commenting. It was so crazy to go back to Playland Park which I went to many times as a kid but this time bringing my kid and going on the same exact rides with my kid. I really love playland for making that possible. My daughter had so much fun that day and it was very cheap and we got to go on rides as many times as she wanted because it doesn't go by tickets anymore so she if she liked a ride she just got back in line and went again. The Flying witch and zombie castle I went on 3 times each that day thats how much I enjoyed them and I don't know why but Zombie castle actually scared me. lol! but my favorite ride by far is the Ye Old Mill Boat ride. I love its nostalgic atmosphere. Thanks again for the support.

I visited the haunted house in 1962 with my Dad and his friend. We were told to have a seat on a bench for a minute until the workers fixed a problem. The bench had bars on it, and the bars were actually rollers. One of the workers hit a switch, because the wall opened and without any warning and we were hurdled down a pretty long ramp. I thought it was the greatest thing ever, but my Dad did not think so as he was trying to claw his way back up. There was a bit of a bump on the bottom and my Dad reinjured his back. This was 1962 so it was not the type of thing people sued for.
Does anybody remember the ramp and the rolling bench? I can't find anything about it online.
