Mark's voice sounds so different from Chester's that it's really weird listening to what has later become "Forgotten".

Man. When I was like 13 Myspace was huge and I found old lp on limewire but it was Carousel instead of The Team, and also their live cover of NIN's Wish. Linking Park at it's best was before they even knew what they had made. Now here I am 25 years old missing the good music and feeling that voice gave us. Cheers and RIP Chester. 🍻

Gotta admit, I definitely prefer Forgotten to Rhinestone... But it's interesting that that had an earlier version.
It's the same song but it's also so much different. They both got upside.
Forgotten sounds better in quality but I like the lyrics of the OG
Mike's rapping is much better on this version, imo. I like the final version a bit better overall though.
Theres a demo for this one in the 10 track EP. It sounds more intense than the final version.

@@user-dt8fi1ee7b You're right...but the Underground dates are incorrect for some, Carousel and Part of Me were on the Hybrid Theory EP in 1999, which was re-released as LP Underground 1.0 in 2001. Stick N Move, Esaul are techincally demos. Rhinestone is a demo of Forgotten (actual final name). Coal is a 1997 demo, and is from Xero. In the End was on Hybrid Theory and was a single, but not on its own in 2003.

Almost every single demo here is from the Hybrid Theory era, except for Coal and the rest of Known Xero demos. "The Team" (wich is Carousel actually) and "Explode" (Part of Me) are part of Hybrid Theory too.

They both come from a fake setlist from a fake bootleg of a fake Xero show at a fake venue (as in the supposed venue literally never even existed) that was supposedly sold on eBay 15+ years ago that nobody's ever actually found any evidence of even being sold in the first place. Those titles have been floating around since at least 2004, possibly longer, and there has never been any legitimate source for their authenticity.

The scream on Explode is amazing! To have a scream that incredible so early is just jaw dropping. I wish I could scream like that. I love his singing but I'll always like Chester's scream a bit more

I think the version of Esaul in this video might be the only surviving recording of that version of Esaul.....The only other Esaul videos I've listened to have had Chester singing "You tried to take the best of me, go away". I've seen them rehearse the "Soon the Aztec moon will heat my room heal my wounds" version in Frat Party at the Pankake Festival, but I've never come across an actual recording of it. THAT'S FUCKING RARE

Yep the first 4 are the only official songs they released as Xero, though a few demos appeared on LPUs long after they were no longer Xero.
Technically a lot of the songs on this video are by Hybrid Theory and not Xero, as when Chester joined they changed their name to Hybrid Theory (before changing it to Linkin Park not long after).
Glad some people actually know what's up. Hopefully the facts don't get forgotten.

The Team and Explode aren't the titles of those songs, I don't know why they're called that here. 'The Team' is a version of the song Carousel from the Hybrid Theory EP, 'Explode' is a version of Part Of Me that appeared on the HTEP, the version in the video was recorded after that, but I will note some of these details could be wrong

First 6 (I dunno if the shorter version of Stick N' Move is one) are from Xero, Esaul is also from Xero but the version in the video is with Chester, after Coal the rest are from Hybrid Theory (the band's name before they went with Linkin Park), with Chester

The_Follower_ the first 4 are from the Xero E.P which featured Wakefield. The rest are from when Chester joined and they switched to the name Hybrid Theory before eventually changing to Linkin Park
One more thing, Coal Stick And Move were recorded while the band was Xero; Stick And Move is dated 1998, the band went by Hybrid Theory starting 1999
Stick And Move (Track 5) seems more like an interlude. I wonder why they didn't add the full song with Chester.

Blue, So Far Away, The Untitled (In The End Demo), & Explode (Part Of Me) were not recorded with Mark Wakefield. Also, Carousel wasn't called The Team, & Part Of Me wasn't called Explode. Those are just fan-made names from some fake Xero setlist.

Metalhead Mike Some parts of Reading My Eyes were used in With You(like the guitar is similar)most of the final part of APFMH was basically reused from Reading My Eyes.
High Voltage is bassicaly Fuse without the parts with Mark singing but some parts and the melody got replaced.
