I work in the county jail as a deputy and we are all armed to the teeth we only employee 21+ because it’s an armed position regardless of security risk but the inmates don’t get physical as often as other jails
No leg strap but I love my safelife duty belt, quick detach oc holder from orpaz, two Bianchi and smiths cuffs, gloves pouch, zac tools key ring keeper, and radio. Oh and cut down tool. Now they want us to carry narcan.
Just discovered your channel, Subbed ,I’m currently working on my Resume, Im interested in applying at a corrections/County jail in my city. And I had a question? , So I’m Starting to work on my Resume and I had a few questions. For the beginning process of a Resume, is there a type of format one should use? Or can I get/use any type of Resume format I can find and just fill it out?
Anytime of resume format will work. If you look in Microsoft Publisher there is some good formats or you could go online to a resume builder and that will help you out as well!
@@elliottkarabrannon4676 I wish we could do that! I got over 6 years in with the state and they will write you up if you don’t carry all equipment issued to you. That’s cuffs, keys, radio, oc, round reader, PPD, taser
We are supposed to be getting a new uniform set up soon so I will show that one when and if we get it. The class B uniform we have now that we wear to appearances is just a basic light blue button up with a white t shirt underneath our leather snap style belt and a dark blue pair of dress style pants with a light blue stripe down the side.
2 reasons. The photo editor I was using didn't have a grey lined flag for me to use. And we as correctional officers are still considered law enforcement officers so we can go off of either flag.
@@oklahomaoutdoorsman9095no you aren’t law enforcement and no you can’t associate yourself with the thin blue line… y’all got y’all’s own little thing stick to that
@conner624 actually if you look at a lot of states correctional officers are indeed recognized as law enforcement officers. Officers here for the state are now being CLEET certified which means you have the exact same powers as a police officer. So how about you know something before you try and argue something
My own BDU style uniform, yes. The ones they issue don't have extra pockets or look as nice. The state has since switched to a different uniform thoughm
Oklahoma Outdoorsman nice man, I was curious to how you liked it. I’m currently in the hiring process now and have my psychological interview tommorow. I’ve been hearing mixed experiences from different people about the job, so it’s good to hear someone who enjoys it.
Sorry about the late reply I just saw it! It's definitely worth the stress if you care about people. I love the brother hood you form with the other officers.
I'll be honest with you. The pants that I have have ties on the bottom that I tie tight and then tuck them into my boots. But they have boot blousers that you can buy.
No where did I say it's the proper way. It is a way to blouse boots though. Doing it without boot blousers and without tucking them this will work and has worked for a while.
I’ve been working in corrections for almost 20 years and I can honestly say this was impressive. Great job and stay safe.
Appreciate it! Stay safe brother!
No guns, all guts. THIN GREY LINE

Real nice video, not a huge fan of having stuff on my legs (hinders running and ground fighting) and I lost it with the hand sanitizer pouch!
I have since removed the pouch on my leg for that reason. And the hand sanitizer pouch is a necessity 🤣
Thanks for your service. I appreciate you brother. I am a Former corrections officer, WV DOC
Thank you sir! You as well!
Just subscribed. Cheers from Nashville!!

Thank you. It seems to work well for me
What brand and model is the watch?
Been a CO at a county jail 7 years and counting. Somewhat similar setup.
I have since changed it up a bit. Dome away with the leg strap and carry less gear on my person. I will come out with a new video soon!

I just got hired at a prison in Oklahoma. I start in 8 days. This was helpful!
Which one did you get hired on at
Yes. Have you heard if its a good place to work? Or does it suck? Lol
Thats the facility I work at. Its a good facility.
@@oklahomaoutdoorsman9095 Wow lol. Small world! Cool im even more excited now.
@@oklahomaoutdoorsman9095 Are we allowed wear our own gear? Stab vests, duty belts etc.?
I’m curious to know which facility you’re working at because you’re carrying around a lot of useless bullshit. I work at a Supermax
I work at a CCC a Community Corrections Center. What do you define as useless? I use most everything on my belt daily.

Our agency will not issue out extra patches sadly!

What kind of watch is that ?
Just a cheapo walmart watch
You gotta do the other uniform man
It will be coming soon!
