I like this a whole lot better than the string "necklace out of a tee-shirt" project that was done last year. I might actually try this! Thank you Mr. Kate! You are such a joy to watch!
I just made my first scarf out of my old tshirt I used to wear when I was pregnant...I love the new look and cant wait to make more! Thanks for showing Mr. Kate! :D
@TearsBehindSmiles I'm glad you're liking the tutorials! I know we are having a great time creating new projects for Threadbanger :) The haul videos were not a 'ploy'. They were a way for us to get the relaunch started and get people familiar with the new hosts, while we were still working out programming details, schedules, etc. Hope you have an awesome day :) -WHitney
absolutely love it. looking forward to making them with my own twist. Originally saw similar one at a recent trip to London. Of course I didn't buy it. However I did study it because one day I'll just make one of my own. Thanks for the inspiration.
That's awesome. The video doesn't say anywhere that this design is only for adults. It's the inspiration she wants to give us. I personally never had the idea of doing something like this. But now, that I have the inspiration, I know I can do it,cause it's easy. You'd prefer tutorials you need to be a professionell fashion designer for to to do it at home? I don't.
This was awesome and so easy! I am making some for my little sisters for xmas! Not only are they stylish but perfect in any weather! thanks again for such an awesome easy affordable idea!
I was scared that this was going to be a repeat like video but this one really was really cute and I actually want to try it! I love the embellishments so much more than I first thought I would!
@moiaiyou19 not dumb at all! click on the forum link on the top of the Threadbanger channel and then click 'Upload' at the top which should take you to a page where you can submit photos and/or video! hope that helps!
Hey everyone! I'm so glad that you all seem to like this tutorial! I just thought it was really easy and fun to do with friends and I agree that they would make great gifts this coming holiday season. Sprucing with re-claimed leather and broken jewelry pieces really makes the scarves unique. For those of you asking why Mr. Kate - please check out the 'about' section on my website mrkate.com - you can click through via my UA-cam channel too. So happy to be a part of Threadbanger! xx - kate
I am totally about to make some of these! I was looking online to see where i can buy an infinity scarf and they are so expensive! I came across your video and i am sold, i am going to make mine. Thanks for sharing.
As a vegan I LOVE to see repurposed leather goods worked into a design, rather than new, store bought, leather...poor cows :( I'm so glad to see tutorials like this again from this channel again.....Repurposed materials and versatile enough to fit into a variety of different peoples' wardrobes. Perfect! :)
@LadyOrchidea True; but if I remember, the past two were you cut lots of long individual strips at different lengths and sew then together. I like this a lot better since it's all one piece.
too cute..Thanks for the video.. have tons of Tshirts.. so now I guess everyone will be getting one of this for christmas :) btw.. you gals rings are awesome..
I made one! it looks so nice! wish you could see it. I used a violet-blue shirt but I bleached (most) parts of it. and instead of the leather I used some fabric from the shirt (before it was bleached). and then I used a carved heart shaped ornament that I bought from ebay for 1$. thank you it was an amazing idea
Wonderful fun! Vid goes so fast through one part though, can't see where you grab it at the top part. So...tshirt is still connected top AND lower edge (to make open loops)??? When you're stretching, you're stretching LOOPS (not straight strips)? Is that correct? Help!
Could you help me understand why my T shirts do not curl. Do the t shirts have to be a stretchy material or can I just use a cotton T. I have had trouble with this.
Can you use a random shirt?, how long do we make the strips?, how hard do we tug?, how many times did you tug?, and How do you make it pretty? i keep on failing and it looks bad i can't really find T.shirts that i don't use. :(
@moiaiyou19 send pictures to threadbangerstyle(at)gmail.com or submit videos as a video response here on UA-cam. The forum link doesn't work but no one seems to be able to figure out how to remove it from the forums. Sorry it is so confusing!
