he literally said its not proper and you should still test it w a gauge then do a leak down which is the actual way to do it but this is a good test to see lets say you bought a junkyard motor do this and you will see at least what your working with off the bat if it has zero compression somewhere this test will show that you dont need to bust out the gauge. yurp ik im smart🗣️
When the piston rises to begin the compression stroke the exhaust valve is still open for a short time , thats whats blowing the caps out of the head. I wouldn't consider this test to amount to anything significant enough that i would use to determine if the engine is worthy of investing 10+ hours of labor installing into a car
We still have my wifes high school kia lol its a 2010 forte and its at 317k. I use it for doordash. only had to change the ac compressor and the water pump and the oil and wheel bearings i just recently did the struts and shocks and motor mounts. But she got it at 30k miles back in 2012. I drive the piss out of it.
The ol pakistani compression test.

@daltonmaddox6404 What are you talking about? Who said anything about proper/improper. I made a joke and you became a wet blanket.
uh u did
@@daltonmaddox6404nope it's you bro. You made the overreaction comment at homies joke.
I always pull the valve cover(s) on a used engine. If it's clean I feel pretty confident as long as it turns over smoothly
I never do that. I look thru the oil fill. But that’s a good idea for sure
Yes, sir, one of the top selling reasons to purchase, outside of frame and transmision condition

Happy Thanksgiving
Happy holidays!
Absolutely 💯
As long as the exhaust plugs land with in 10% of each other it passes the test.😊😊😊
aye man thanks good looking out brother
Thank you!
My eye my eye!!
I put mine on a pressure checker
Cool hat.
Thank you
wtf is that firing order, no wonder that motor grenades itself
You sound confused
It’s 1-3-4-2
Wtf do u know
@@michaelmartinez9602 look at it, then you will know if you’re somewhat smart
@ many things😂 one is thats a shit firing order
What in the Mr. Bucket is this 😂😂

Sounds like it’s got uneven compression. P0301 incoming 😂 probably not tho
There go compression indeed
Quick check. Works every time
I hope you checked the rod bearings on that 2.4 before installing it. Hyundais biggest downfall was there engines.

From engine out 4 feet 120 psi 7 feet 130 psi 10 feet 150 psi...
I love it. Will use a compression gauge again.😂
Never buy an engine unless you test it buy it local if you have to wait a fucking month buy it where you can test it
I agree. I buy local with easy return and get paid labor if it’s no good.

What's with you guys and you stalking hats is your head cold
It’s cold up here bro
