I picked up some merch about 2 weeks ago at the Akihabara Gundam cafe. It was totally dead in there. It really needed foreign tourists to drive sales. A shame to see it close down. I’ll make a visit for the December merch and if I can take time off work, go there for the closing ceremony next year.

Because he's one hell of a pilot and unlike Kira and Athrun, he's not on the battlefield to joke around. In the last battle, Deark and Yzak defeated several Mobile Armor with a Gouf and a Zaku Warrior when Shin had to go SEED mode with his impulse. Those 2 war veterans are nuts.
So, as someone who does own the MG Barbatos, I can say that most of the kit is pretty heavily under-gated, or carefully hidden(like on the sides of the legs where there are two plates that join). There are a few likely to be noticeable nubs, like on the top of the... power symbol(?) on the shoulders and the backpack wasn't given nearly the same level of attention for nubs

Didn't know much about Gundams before, found this channel after trying out Code Fairy since I wanted to learn a little bit more about what units the main characters were using and a little bit about the history they were in. As I know Gundam is a long franchise and the story probably took place in one of the existing series. The whole time, I always thought there was only 1 type of Zaku, didn't know there were so many. I just remember when I was a kid, watching Gundam seed and destiny just for entertainment and never paid attention to the units. I just remember these units probably gets one shotted by any character slightly important. I do like the idea a lot that the main characters uses the base units(or at least start out with), and have to work their way up. So far, although their feats don't seem as crazy as seed, just the fact that, in the game, your crew defeated so many enemy units without losing a single member so far is pretty incredible. Not to mention, they are not using anything special like those Seed units, where the power gap is large. Lastly, thanks for the videos you make. It'd allow me to learn about the setting that the game took place at.
Hopefully one day the Gundam Cafe will come back..also I still want one of those pilot lunch trays..hard to find something that is exactly the same as it though..and believe me I've tried..looked all over amazon and ebay for a tray like that.

Staggered out there like he been on a rollar coaster with no brakes before tossing the thing to Hero for the Empyon. Also, when I lived in Japan, their first attempt at a Gundam Cafe was in Ueno and had a life-sized Gundam RX-78 in it that was from the head to the abdomen. That died before the Gundam Cafe chain ever opened. My point: Gundam Cafe wasn't the first time they tried, so I doubt it will be the last. Something else will come down the line.
I learned earlier this week about the Gundam Cafés' closure... I'm feeling quite dumb never having visited one (more precisely, never entering the one in Akihabara) on my trips to Japan (fearing it would be overpriced, overcrowded and overall cheap experience).
It is possible that those cafes rely heavily on tourism. I believe Pokémon didn’t open one until like 2018 and Super Sentai just open one this year. The Kamen Rider cafe kept it at one and they had close down one of their attraction in 2017. Those are also big franchises too and opening up a theme cafe seem pretty risky. To see Gundam put a 180 is shocking and unfortunately for international fans who haven’t check out those cafes. I just hope that they just open at least one in the future for fans who wasn’t be able to go there.

Code fairy be contributing to UC OYW lore, while including other side stories. Spoilers… Chapter 1: introduction of Alma, Mia, and Helena as a team. 1st official mission deals with Fed commandos in stolen zakus trying to breach California base 1st line of defense. The mission ended with a hint of WB entering the atmosphere into the North American territory. Chapter 2 : Assigned to a supply escort mission to protect a gallop heading to Zeon’s Vancouver base. Noisy fairy encountered Fed forces sending in prototype MS into battle and survival involved using a captured sonar system that the Midnight Fenrir sent to the fairies for usage on their 1st night operation. Ends with news of Garma’s death . Chapter 3: While Garma’s funeral was broadcasted the Feds started counterattacks with MS forces of their own. The Feds try cutting thru Seattle to established a northern base camp to attack California base. The fairies are outnumbered and came up with a Halloween theme tactic to crush the enemy supply escort force. This is the Episode where they encountered their Fed MS rival Lilith for the 1st time. Chapter 4: The Fairies are under a temporary commander, while their CO Killy Garnett was sent to California Base due to politics. The fairies are sent on a delay mission to stall the Fed advances along the Gulf of Mexico whom are trying to deliver supplies to the Navy at Panama. The supplies are for the Fed forces fighting over Odessa. Beam rifles and artillery blast nearly killed a squad member. Chapter 5: To upgrade the new Dom test type replacement suit for Mia , the Fairies went on a recovery mission of the abandoned hildofr from the 603rd technical evaluation unit in the Arizona desert. During this mission the fairies encounter an enemy MS force conducting combat testing. Our Heroine Alma clashed with her Fed rival Lilith whom is piloting a pixxie. Alma was nearly killed, hospitalized, and hinted to be a new type .
How much content (missions/mission lengh / sideobjectives / replayability) does the game offer? And does it play similar to GBO2? Videos aren't that good for showing such stuff
@@TheAzureGhost each chapter plays out like an anime episode with probably 30 minutes to an hour each depending on what you do. So far for the 1st 5 chapters the format is cutscene/intro, followed by cutscene/based camp training tutorial, cutscene/1st mission battle, cutscene/ 2nd battle, and ends with cutscene, credits, and episode preview. You have the option to skip the training section and select either the 1st or 2nd battle of a chapter you want to replay after beating it. Have not touch the extra content much. The game plays out like training for GBO2 and the only side mission is how fast you complete a level , the least damage you taken, and how much damage you done adds up to get a letter ranking each to unlock MS parts and MS to used in simulator and cost battle ( kids gloves are off due to GBO 2 multiplayer rules format). You now have MS pilots to level up to improved their performance and gain new abilities. Also gallery content to unlock such as art concept , BGM, MS data, character bios, and cutscenes.

So we get in total arround 20 episodes with 10-20 hours playtime in total(excluding cutscenes)? Well sounds pricy considering GBO gameplayquality.. on the other side.. more gundam story content and mecha action, so i most likely will get it anyway when i'm done with my current story games.

That polarized PG RX-78 uses the SAME coating of the RG Exia clear trans-am GN Swords. They DO change colors from purple to a dark green

Chapter 1: introduction of Alma, Mia, and Helena as a team. 1st official mission deals with Fed commandos in stolen zakus trying to breach California base 1st line of defense. The mission ended with a hint of WB entering the atmosphere into the North American territory.
Chapter 2 : Assigned to a supply escort mission to protect a gallop heading to Zeon’s Vancouver base. Noisy fairy encountered Fed forces sending in prototype MS into battle and survival involved using a captured sonar system that the Midnight Fenrir sent to the fairies for usage on their 1st night operation. Ends with news of Garma’s death .
Chapter 3: While Garma’s funeral was broadcasted the Feds started counterattacks with MS forces of their own. The Feds try cutting thru Seattle to established a northern base camp to attack California base. The fairies are outnumbered and came up with a Halloween theme tactic to crush the enemy supply escort force. This is the Episode where they encountered their Fed MS rival Lilith for the 1st time.
Chapter 4: The Fairies are under a temporary commander, while their CO Killy Garnett was sent to California Base due to politics. The fairies are sent on a delay mission to stall the Fed advances along the Gulf of Mexico whom are trying to deliver supplies to the Navy at Panama. The supplies are for the Fed forces fighting over Odessa. Beam rifles and artillery blast nearly killed a squad member.
Chapter 5: To upgrade the new Dom test type replacement suit for Mia , the Fairies went on a recovery mission of the abandoned hildofr from the 603rd technical evaluation unit in the Arizona desert. During this mission the fairies encounter an enemy MS force conducting combat testing. Our Heroine Alma clashed with her Fed rival Lilith whom is piloting a pixxie. Alma was nearly killed, hospitalized, and hinted to be a new type .

How much content (missions/mission lengh / sideobjectives / replayability) does the game offer?
And does it play similar to GBO2?

@@TheAzureGhost each chapter plays out like an anime episode with probably 30 minutes to an hour each depending on what you do.
So far for the 1st 5 chapters the format is cutscene/intro, followed by cutscene/based camp training tutorial, cutscene/1st mission battle, cutscene/ 2nd battle, and ends with cutscene, credits, and episode preview.
You have the option to skip the training section and select either the 1st or 2nd battle of a chapter you want to replay after beating it.
Have not touch the extra content much. The game plays out like training for GBO2 and the only side mission is how fast you complete a level , the least damage you taken, and how much damage you done adds up to get a letter ranking each to unlock MS parts and MS to used in simulator and cost battle ( kids gloves are off due to GBO 2 multiplayer rules format). You now have MS pilots to level up to improved their performance and gain new abilities. Also gallery content to unlock such as art concept , BGM, MS data, character bios, and cutscenes.

Are those 5 episodes/chapter the first volume? So we get in total arround 20 episodes with 10-20 hours playtime in total(excluding cutscenes)?
Well sounds pricy considering GBO gameplayquality.. on the other side.. more gundam story content and mecha action, so i most likely will get it anyway when i'm done with my current story games.

I use it as both ranged and close combat, ranged for when i dont feel like waiting the half second to cross the field and close for all other times

Kakarot, I have a question, what is the name of that China exclusive MG Barbatos. I get you say it in the video… honestly, that gets me no closer to the spelling 😂. I have a friend that lives in China and that exclusive colored kit gets my balls moist and I’m sure you understand the danger and why we try to refrain from that kind of thing in the colder areas of Canada, it just means I need it that much more….
