Louise, I loved how the sweet peas turned out. I loved the lighter pinks and purples. What a precious story about your mom and dad, and you continuing to grow them for her just probably means the world to her. I always love your projects, even when you don't think they come out good they always look beautiful to me lol. 🤩💖
I have also learned to seal flowers a few hours before using them in resin. I seal them with either satin or shiny spray polyurethane sealant. I often recolor with alcohol ink flowers I have dried and then sealed them with spray sealant of some sort without any problems. If you don’t seal the flowers they either turn translucent or if dyed the dye can release into the resin.
Actually, Louise, I quite like those micro bubbles. They remind me of dew on the flowers first thing early morning, or perhaps droplets left behind after a gentle rain. I love the sweetpeas. They're gorgeous.
I not only enjoy your faff Lou I actually look forward to it 😂. I really love that you grow sweet peas just for your mum, it shows what a caring and loving daughter you are and I am pretty sure your mum is really proud of the woman you are. ❤❤
I love ❤️ both of the projects & the lessons I learned from them. The sweet peas are so elegant looking & I’m positive your Mom will love them. She’ll be able to have that bundle of flowers forever-she won’t have to worry about them wilting on her. Thank you so much Louise. I also look forward to your videos & learn from each one of them !
I love both projects Lou. You can spray your flowers with hairspray or a clear spray bomb to seal them. Your Mom is going to Love the Sweet Peas❤ Take great care and keep creating and smiling xoxo ❤
I think this is so very stunning!! You are a wonderful daughter! I take care of my mom and dad. 82-83, I just finished their basement to move in and take care of them. Thank you for all you do.
You are a very thoughtful daughter, I’m sure your mum love’s everything you make her, and these sweet peas will be extra special for her. Thank you for sharing your beautiful resin work with us. I really appreciate you Louise x❤
Very pretty. My mother who grew all kinds of roses, bulbs and annuals throughout her life, at the end of her life was obsessed with sweet peas for no particular reason. For her 80th birthday we ordered some from _Italy_ of all places because they were well out of season here in the States. We should've just dried some and done what you did!😂
I think your Statice tea lights are lovely, Louise! I'm glad the color seemed to right itself. 😊💕 I can't believe you grew such amazing Sweet Peas! They're GORGEOUS! I love them, too. They turned out really beautiful! ❤😍💕
Two for one..lucky for us! 👍☺️ both projects are beautiful. I love them! The colours are so delicate and pretty. You have had better results than me with drying flowers. 😊
What a lovely daughter you are. The sweet peas are stunning. Strange about the tea light holders. They definitely seemed clearer in a different light. ❤
Very interesting what happened with those first flowers in the candleholders. Those sweet peas are so pretty! That's very sweet of you to do that for your mum.
I love how you show the reality of these projects. I make silk flowers and will have to try this technique with those (though I’m a little worried about the dyes I use on the silk bleeding into the resin…tiny sample first!)
Louise I think all in all you did a great job with all...antique or sweet pea's...you are the sweetest person and you do beautiful work all around! We live love and learn I say! Hugs to you dear!
I think the lilac color is beautiful. I know it isn't what you hoped, but it is pretty. I have had the unfortunate surprise of flowers having been dyed, only it tinged all the resin. I had red and white roses and they all turned pink, but not a pretty pink. Hard to explain, but it was a strange hue. I now pull a petal off and do a test in an old coaster mold before big projects. (Not too full, just enough to see if they pulled a dye job.) Like you say, live and learn!
I love sweet peas also…. Unfortunately I can’t grow them in Florida, but they grow wild in Michigan, where I’m originally from… I think both projects were beautiful!!! I agree with your husband, they look like 60’s acrylic….
They do all look ravishingly stunning 😍. I needed this as I have to do a memorial piece for my sister and I’m scared to ruin the flower 🌹 thanks for sharing 🫶🏻
Wow in the begiining i thought ohh them colours lol But when you put them with that light and without the light those colours are pretty good . Awesoem job Louise
I think the white flowers are Bridal wreath spirea. I have the tree bush in my yard...I'm not sure though I would need to see up close...but never know Lol beautiful work anyway!!
Louise, have you tried using a microwave drier? They take minutes to dry. Not tried myself but I've been told it preserves their colour extremely well.

Louise, you can always spray your dried flowers with sealer, and that will seal their color in. But I love both your projects. They are beautiful.
What kind of sealer would you recommend? I’ve only just bought things to dry my own flowers so I’d love to know x
Thank you Laura, I’ve never come across this issue before but that is a great tip for the future thank you 👍👍👍
Your mom probably LOVES you growing the sweet peas for her so very much!!! What a SWEET thing to do!!! 💖
What a wonderful daughter to do that for your mom! 💕 The sweet peas turned out so delicate and beautifully preserved. Thank you for sharing!

Louise I am so pleased you add the not what to does, you can learn so much more than to watching something that goes to plan. Thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks so much 😊 I agree. I like to keep it real ❤️

Thank you ever so much my friend. I love growing the sweet peas but this years weather really wasn’t in our favour.
Two for one..lucky for us! 👍☺️ both projects are beautiful. I love them! The colours are so delicate and pretty. You have had better results than me with drying flowers. 😊
Sweetpeas are my absolute favourite flowers. I have them tattooed on my shoulder. This looks gorgeous 😍
Everything turned out beautiful. Your an amazing daughter.❤
I love the way your sweet peas look in the epoxy. So beautiful and delicate. What a wonderful gift for your mom.
What a lovely daughter you are. The sweet peas are stunning. Strange about the tea light holders. They definitely seemed clearer in a different light. ❤
Aw thank you so much. Strange is the perfect word. I was totally perplexed 🤣🤣
They turned out beautiful Louise, all of them! I love your dried flowers in resin, you do such a good job!

Thank you so much!❤️❤️
Both nice my nan loved sweet peas x
I love your sweet peas
The sweet peas are beautiful in that rectangle. Too bad the shipping would be outrageous, I'd love to have one.
Very beautiful! 😮😊
Absolutely beautiful x
Very pretty! Ty for sharing.
So Beautiful ❤❤❤❤
Love them both thank you xxx
Soooo pretty ❤
Very pretty
I had an adventure with those tealight molds. They came out nicely, but floating flowers just about ruined the design. I like the finished pieces.
Gorgeous ❤
Thank you! 😊
Lovely
Beautiful
All turned out really pretty and I love sweetpeas but I've not been successful growing them either.
Thank you. It’s been a really bad year for growing things this year. Hopefully next year we will actually get a spring and the garden will thrive.
I think the white flowers are Bridal wreath spirea. I have the tree bush in my yard...I'm not sure though I would need to see up close...but never know Lol beautiful work anyway!!
Thank you ever so much ❤️❤️

The white flowers are gypsophilla x
😊❤
❤
What was the product you used to dry the flowers?
Wisedry silica for flowers
You can also spruce up colors of dried flowers with an airbrush with paint, I am betting you have one
You’re not wrong 🤣🤣🤣
