    I'm about to be 54 in 16 days and have never been married. I've been to a bridal shower and 2 weddings within 9 days. Both weddings were beautiful. The second wedding had me in tears. It was so amazing and God was ALL IN THE MIDST OF EVERYTHING!!! I said to God, YOU HAVE JOKES, all of this in less than 2 weeks!! And i laughed inside and said Father I will WAIT WELL!! Now, this podcast comes across my feed, and im watching this with restored hope and looking forward to my marriage that will come one day. Fully trusting Gods timing for it all! Thanks for your ministry....it's helping many unmarried out here!!! You guide the interviews well, ask great questions, and you let the guests talk...BRAVO. To all unmarried, WAIT WELL!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾

      Hon, the weddings were beautiful. That's just the party.
      You know nothing about the marriage. Dont envy the party. Just live your life and what ever will be will be.
      Marriage is not what you're all fantasizing about.
      Sometimes it's best to enjoy your peace that seek out someone you have to adopt and adjust to. Men in your age group is usually looking for a hospice wife because they have alot of health issues looking for a nurse with a purse .

    Love came very slowly and softly for them. Both of them were in a funky place when they met, and neither were interested in getting married. They weren’t open, so they had to be healed as they were on their courtship journey.

    I'm so happy that Pastor K mentioned not only having Shaunie as his friend, but needing other ppl to talk to as well. I hear so many couples speak of ONLY needing their partner as a friend. God didn't intend for us to be an island. We need a community of other believers to grow with. Their story was beautiful to listen to.

    I didn't want to watch or like this episode but I have to say it was really good 🎉 We talk about social media narratives and viewers struggle with balancing it too. I don't want to get caught up with the latest couple, fade or experience, so I find myself avoiding the most popular. This is good and bad. I have to say this podcast does a great job at being authentic. The Hendersons do a great job at being authentic as well. There are moments when the narrative has to be real because the word and holy spirit shines bright. One novice moment she stated was spot on. When you meet with a real man of God or your man he brings out the feminine authentic role. When we feel safe we walk taller in our roles both men and women. Thanks for sharing 👍 ❤

    He needs to step down from his church after this interview. Anyone supporting this tells me they are not in the Word. I get that we all make mistakes but he should repent, step away from the church for minimum of a year and have some accountability for not living as God has ordained him if he was truly called. He is justifying his actions versus admitting wrong. All this talk of suicide is for sympathy and to take everyone’s eyes off of his and her sin dating while he was still married. He is so full of himself just like Satan. God said he will judge the church first. Sarah Jakes is another one that needs to sit down after dating her husband while he was still married. Keion Henderson needs to sit down and stop clout chasing. T.D. Jakes condoning this mess is going to get him caught up as well. God will not be mocked.

    Ladies, walk your children to the door of or into the home of the man who has fathered your children, lovingly. Let your children see you honor and give this man respect even as you hand them off. This will go well for them and you in the future. No matter what has transpired between the two of you...if he is not a threat of abuse to your children...don't allow them to have to have shame for the situation that your family is now in, based on your inability to control your behavior surrounding the King of their hearts. He may no longer be the King of yours...but he is most certainly pivotal to them. Forgive and if you cannot forgive, yet, wait until you get back to your car alone to vent...then get therapy and Christian counsel. Treat the situation as though you are a Queen handing valuable gifts to a King and watch your children carry themselves that way in the world. Watch that man handle you different than he may have even handled you before. This will bless your life. For the holidays, if it is his turn to have the children, do not relish in that man struggling to figure out how to entertain the children when you know that you are the one wo did the tone setting and decorating for the holidays prior to you all's break up or divorce...offer to help him set things up...prepare a place for him to be a father to his children during the holidays...not because he deserves it...do it unto God and for your children. One year, despite the fact that I could not stand the woman that my x-husband was with (she was rude to me without fail), however, I purchased gifts for her children and mine so that when they spent Christmas with him all the children would get the same number of gifts and the same level of gifts...I had them most of the year so, I sent them with their father for the holidays...and sent them with the things I knew he was not able to buy and/or had no clue of the details of what to do. Also, if he wants his son(s) - especially around 12 yrs old...give him custody unless the boy says he doesn't want it (Jewish law). #selah #forgiveness #Psalm 15 #wisdom

    Their love story is beautiful!! I know there are lots of rumors out there about them, but I admire the fact that they are not allowing it to shape their relationship. I admire Shaunie for stepping into the role of "First Lady" at her pace and not how people thought she should. Her relationship with God is hers to shape with the help of the Holy Spirit. Had she tried to please the masses, by doing what they thought she should do, it would have left her looking fake. I believe she truly loves God and her relationship with Him is real. May God continue to bless them with many happy years. I've never been married, and I am looking forward to saying I do to the man God selected for me! These love stories keep me hopeful. I started watching this when it was live and he was talking about his daughter being dropped off on Christmas; and her flying in for a few hours to be with him. I was looking. I thought, this girl is my spirit animal because I've been known to fly to places just to spend a few hours just talking to even a platonic friend. Because of that, I decided to wait till I could watch it from the beginning to go back and replay it; and I have to say, I was disappointed. From the first few minutes of their interview, I was like something is really wrong here. The more hear them talk and see their body languages on stage, the more toxic they both sound and seem.
    Now, I have never heard of either of these two until now. I'm just learning about her being Shaquille O'Neal's ex-wife from the comments. I don't even know who he is. But it sounds like both of them need some self reflection, better discernment and continued healing. I wish them peace.

      Sis I suggest you go on lipstick alley and found the out the real ‘tea’ on these two let’s just say something in the milk weren’t clean.
      They also lied about how they met. They claim James Fortune introduced them both in 2020 however she was a guest speaker at his conference with his ex wife at the time in July 2019. If you go on her stories you will see that and how it debunks their claim.

    Thank you all I was truly blessed by this show, as well from Pastor’s wkly sermon post on IG if I miss it on YT I got so many gold nuggets from this it was great seeing Pastor Keion & Shaunie as man/woman - husband/wife not Pastor/First lady yet they still remained Godly. (I’ve rephrased both to be less personable) 1st being from Shaunie “We as woman can be so molded independently that we don’t know how to receive it when a man treats us like a lady” 🙌🏾👏🏾& Keion had several but my favorite “Stop founding our identities in relationships, you have to heal from past hurt before getting into a relationship or you will be in a relationship with your healer/therapist & once you’re healed you don’t need them anymore” (this spoke volumes & explains so much, something that most men can’t articulate), this is exactly why my last relationship although lasted 6 yrs. & ended because I was mentally & emotionally done (he had yet to heal from his 2 failed marriages)

  • @cherwallace6026

    I didn’t know he was legally still married when they met and began courting.
    I can comprehend the rationale he gave for not waiting to date, and in general I think it’s still better to wait until everything is done and settled legally.
    I never want to be involved with a man that is still legally married. From my perspective that person isn’t free to truly connect with another person even if they are separated. You can’t be all in and making future plans with someone if you’re still married.
    That’s my opinion.

    • @alicetheegreet
      @alicetheegreet 3 місяці тому +5

      I’m so glad you made this comment. It really helped me put into words what I was thinking and feeling.
      I was in a situationship with this dude who was married but separated from his wife. So separated in fact, at the time him and I started messing around, she had been living with her boyfriend for like 4 years; and they both knew that the other was dating other people. He tried to have a similar arrangement/relationship with me like his wife had with hers; and I shut that down. You know, they’re back together now; and had been just months of me cutting him loose.
      He’s a sweet person; and still someone I consider a colleague and we’ll call each other when we know of an opportunity that would be good for the other. I never got into a relationship with him for a zillion reasons that had nothing to do with him being married. But if I thought he could be marriage material, I would’ve insisted he both get that divorce and know if there’s still a chance with her or not, before dating him.

      I agree that someone in the divorce stage needs to wait. I may have misread the portion and my discernment may be completely off. I didn’t hear that they were courting. I thought I heard that they were friends and they were both healing and not ready. It was an organic transition. Then again, I’m not really looking for holes or flaws. I know my own and I know my God.

    • @alicetheegreet
      @alicetheegreet 3 місяці тому +11

      No, they were dating while he was still married. Straight from the horse’s mouth: At 20:24 “The reason I didn’t get on a plane to go see her, is because my divorce wasn’t final yet. OK. My divorce wasn’t final yet. Because my divorce was so messy and elongated, *I MADE A DECISION THAT I WAS GONNA START DATING HER BEFORE THE DIVORCE WAS FINAL* BECAUSE I wasn’t gonna let somebody holding up the divorce, show me how I could live my life. So, the narrative came out that I was *DATING HER WHILE I WAS STILL MARRIED, TRUE* but I was separated.”
      I’m not going to throw stone re:both of them cheating cause glass house and stones and all of that. But in that whole hour of their marketing stunt, they never acknowledge that they were cheating. Worst than that, even after that rant about dating her while still married, instead of taking accountability for his actions, he turned to the audience and told them that they too cheat; and then threw even more gasoline on the fire by talking about TMZ following her around being why they dated in secret. Not that his ex wife was still fighting for their relationship, not that he was trying to protect his daughter and her kids, not even that he was showing his ex-wife some respect even during divorce so that she wouldn’t have to experience any negative backlash from the public should this get out before the divorce was finalized.
      I’ve been in their shoes once, and so I’m not judging. But one thing I’ve never done is deny that what I was doing was wrong. Nor have I ever glossed over *my actions* and shift focus on anyone else besides me. The reason him and I are still friends, is that we both took accountability for our actions; and him and his wife are back together now because she took accountability for hers as well.
      These two talk a good game but behind that glossy facade, I don’t see any accountability nor healing going on at all. I don’t hear any warmth nor concern for that ex wife at all. More importantly, I don’t hear any protection of those children at all.

    Telling a congregation of people that you cheated on your wife and you think it's okay because you were "separated" is WILD. Y'all have to stop listening to these people. He literally lacks self-control and is selfish. The woman also allowed herself to be tangled in this web. He should have been leaning on the Lord, not a woman, especially with how bad he treated his ex-wife.

There are people on the verge of losing it all because those in the position to aid in their deliverance out of temptation refuse to be TRANSPARENT! @@lakeshiahulum8804 I recommend reading your Bible and sitting silently before responding with words FOR sin. He said what he said and if you have a problem with the Lord's design, take it to prayer. I have a duty to warn the people of error and I did just that. Justifying cheating is very unwise. Covenants are still covenants, regardless of your spirit of offense. Be healed.
      Also, as a note, that was not a testimony. That was a lack of accountability. He is not repentant and is instead telling other people they've done the same thing. Research a testimony and let us refrain from quoting scripture out of context.
