  • I made a careless $2000 mistake during the process of this sculpture. I carved a bear out of 8 gallons of #epoxy #resin and various wood species. I used Zebrawood, Buckeye burl, Mohogany, Cherry, Walnut and Paduak. I will also have the charcuterie/ cutting boards available for purchase on my instagram stories tab. ‪@BMSculptures‬

I love how you not only show but emphasise your mistakes along the journey, it makes you relatable and shows the passion in a way you would not be able to otherwise - I recognised the amazing effect of the horizontal wood in your horse head project I just watched, I also love how you pinned the ears back on that horse, a significant design decision I think really paid off.

I actually like both equally, though I really appreciated the commentary this time, because it's nice to know why you make some of the decisions you do. Also, I agree that the angled pieces add to the look.

This full voiceover felt really natural. It didnt even dawn upon me that you usually don't do them fully until you pointed it out!
Enjoyed it lots, but i dont mind lil silent bits either.
Ps. Would LOVE to see a large fish related sculpture one day. Like a pike or an alligator gar.
Only.. i imagine that mounting it anywhere/getting it to stay in its proper position would be annoying as heck
ANYWAY. LOVE EVERYTHING YOU DO, BLAKE

Voice over!!!! Its very calming and explains the process. Keep it up!
Love when you joke around sometimes to.... like when your sculpture fell on the ground (I know you didn't mean to) or in this one when there is too many bubbles but its relatable when we all make mistakes. We all learn.

Definitely love the voiceover. You have a very nice tone and you say only what needs to be said. A lot of people talk on and on and go into too many tiny little bits that don't even matter and it gets annoying... You do a wonderful job! I could listen to your voice all day. 😁

Blake...i just discovered your channel and have watched several videos over the past few days. Voice over i think is the best, speaking of which....the two 🐻 you have done are my favorites. But then again, my nickname is Ted E. Bear.. Keep doing your awesome carvings, they are awesome.

    Hey Blake,
You're a very talented sculptor. Love your work. Please include your voice overs. It brings the human factor into your process. All the ups and downs are entertaining and well worth the extra effort of editing from the viewers perspective. Would you ever use other mediums with the epoxy? Like stone, brick, coral, white cement to replicate bone and or combinations of these?
That could produce some really incredible creations.
    Regards
    Bon 👣
