Woodcarving & Epoxy Art

- I made a careless $2000 mistake during the process of this sculpture. I carved a bear out of 8 gallons of #epoxy #resin and various wood species. I used Zebrawood, Buckeye burl, Mohogany, Cherry, Walnut and Paduak. I will also have the charcuterie/ cutting boards available for purchase on my instagram stories tab. @BMSculptures

I love the music selection so I would definitely go with the music instead of you talking
Mix it up like a vlog. Talking head with mixed Broll for intro, talking head to voiceover working, mix in more Broll. Do whatever feels right for each video. There's no right or wrong with your format, super lucky!
Padauk
I am also a McFarland but Established titles is a scam. Nothing is official with their titles all you are buying is a piece of paper.
Red wood is pudak
Your voiceover version was top quality, keep it up mate!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Agreed
Loved it so much!

It’s beautiful Blake! Keep the voice overs. You did a great job!
Thank you Jennifer! Will do
Amazing sculpture and so glad I found this channel. Please continue the voiceover as it is highly informative and brings added value to the video.
Thanks Mike!
I love how you not only show but emphasise your mistakes along the journey, it makes you relatable and shows the passion in a way you would not be able to otherwise - I recognised the amazing effect of the horizontal wood in your horse head project I just watched, I also love how you pinned the ears back on that horse, a significant design decision I think really paid off.
I actually like both equally, though I really appreciated the commentary this time, because it's nice to know why you make some of the decisions you do. Also, I agree that the angled pieces add to the look.
Thanks Jessica!
This full voiceover felt really natural. It didnt even dawn upon me that you usually don't do them fully until you pointed it out!
Enjoyed it lots, but i dont mind lil silent bits either.
Ps. Would LOVE to see a large fish related sculpture one day. Like a pike or an alligator gar.
Only.. i imagine that mounting it anywhere/getting it to stay in its proper position would be annoying as heck
ANYWAY. LOVE EVERYTHING YOU DO, BLAKE
Glad you enjoyed it! A Gar would be cool... I have been wanting to do a swordfish/ tuna for a while now. Mounting always poses a risk for something like that
Voice overs are my preferred option by far!
I really like your humor in your videos and your comments during the video
Love the voice over....sculpture is stunning once again....I love your thought process and bravery to try new ways!! 💜💜💜
Thank you so much!
I really enjoy the voice overs. It let's us know minor details going through your head, whether it is hints and tips or ideas you are thinking of. Awesome videos and sculptures.
Thanks Joseph!
This was my first video I have seen of you and it was top notch. I prefer voice overs because I can learn and understand what is happening. You can also teach other people who want to be in wood carving. I’d love to see move of you videos in the future
I liked the voice over it makes it a more engaging viewing. With only music I find myself wanting to skip to the end to see the finished product. "trust the process" keep up the content. you defiantly inspire me to be a better artist.
I definitely perfer voice overs. I like hearing the process as well as watching it. You do stunning work and I love watching all your videos!
Thank you so much!
I like you to explain your processing invoice over is fine
Love this bear! 🐻 I enjoy the voice over and learning how you create these awesome pieces ❤
Thanks Elizabeth

Love the voiceover has ASMR vibes. Sculpture came out gorgeous. Love your channel.
I loved the voice over...enough talk to explain but not so much as to overwhelm the process. Do you have a photo of the two bears together? That would be quite a sight. Your bear was sensational!
Love the voiceover!!! So gorgeous, and I love the horizontal look, too.
Thanks lanell
Another beautiful sculpture. I love the voice over, you did an excellent job, splanin 😆 ♥️
Thanks Maddie!
I love the voice over- its such amazing work and the blow by blow narrative really enhances the art!
My favorite sculpture so far it turned out perfectly......
I like the voiceovers best. Your work is amazing Blake, and the calm soothing explanation as you go, makes us always look forward to your next video!!
Thank you! I think I will continue the VO
I enjoy listening to u break down each step, amazing job!! Beautiful creation
Thank you!

Im not very skilled in that kind of work, and so I enjoyed your voiceover. I really appreciate that you not hide the failures, but showed how you tried to make the best out of it. Never surrender.
That looks absolutely perfect, keep up the good work.
That is phenomenal! And thank you for including the good and the bad. I definitely enjoy the voiceovers. I like learning your techniques as much as seeing your finished pieces!
Thank you!
I don't normally comment, but I truly look forward to EVERY new video you upload! I think the voiceovers are well done & far more enjoyable than just music for your videos. THANK YOU for sharing your craft with us!
Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate your support Angelique!
Please keep the voice over. I enjoy your humor and , since I am not a sculptor, understand much better what you are doing. I LOVE this bear, maybe even more than the first one. Congratulations on another consignment well-done. 🦋
I usually enjoy voiceover on videos like this. I enjoy learning how these work.
Thanks Chef, will do
Awsome sculpture !!!! Everything you do in your videos is perfert, i like the music but keep it for sanding parts and final reveal of the piece. I like how you explain every step ,mistake or not
Great work👍👍👍
Thanks JC!
I have no skills or tools to create a masterpiece like this and probably never will so the voiceover really drags me into the whole process of creating it. Love it keep it up!!
I bet you have many skills in other areas. I appreciate the insight!
@@BMSculptures As my line of work is cooking and I and probably many others have no idea how any of these things are created so the voice over is really helpful and keeps it so much more interesting for a person like me with no experience. And I do love your videos with or without the voice over 😀
@@tobedalfs7276 Good to know. Thanks for the support and knowledge
VOICE OVER, for sure!
Really enjoy the stylized approach to your creations.
I enjoy all your videos, and appreciate the voiceover narration
I absolutely love your videos! I get so excited when you post. I really enjoyed the voice over because it feels more personal and I got to understand your process better. I also loved hearing about your mistakes because it makes your content feel real, wholesome and interesting!
Thanks for the insight Avielle!
Voice over was great! If anything I’d love even more about how you start making the smaller cuts. The big cuts lining up with sketch makes sense, but after those baffles me. Looks great as always either way!
Thanks Gabe. I never really thought about that... Thats a good idea
Your voice overs are perfect
This bear turned out wicked, nice job. The voice over was great.
Sweet. Always amazed by the effort made to look so easy .... appreciated the voice-over...
Glad you liked it
Absolutely gorgeous sculpture Blake!!!
And please keep the voiceovers! 😊
Thanks Cerise, Will do!
@@BMSculptures you are welcome 😊
Having a 2 year old I didn't get too much sleep last night. Somehow I came across your channel and I'm blown away. Couldn't be happier to have found your channel. I find it very therapeutic and hypnotic watching you work. Such Outstanding skill that makes something so beautiful and Imagine my delight to find out you are of Scottish Heritage. I'm Scottish myself and live in a small town between Glasgow and Edinburgh. I'll be making my way through your videos and can'y wait. Awesome!
Voice Overs!!! Youre workmanship is so good! One day I will commission you to do a sculpture for me. I want a McFarland original. Keep going. Pursue the artistry. So good!
Blake, your orange/red wood looks like Padauk. I love using this wood in my woodturning.
Nailed it! Such a unique species of wood.
Blake, as always watching your talent turn a block of epoxy and wood into a finished sculpture is awe inspiring. Thank you for sharing your talent with us that enjoy watching. This sculpture is one of my favorites that you have done. Love the voice over and explanation of the process as you go through it. Thanks and God Bless.
Thank you very much! I appreciate you letting me know that
Do both!!!! Some type of “voice over weekends” or something but the nice chill vibe-y music is also nice!!!
Voiceovers are totally the way, keep this up, i’m loving it!
thank you love to watch you create these
You are so welcome!
Stunning result (as always) he's a fabulous looking bear. Great save on the first pour. Voiceover is my preference.
Thank you!
I like your explanation and I prefer this kind of videos 😁. Thank you.
Thank you Domingo!
Voiceover, definitely! Your work is superb, mate!!!
I bearly wait to exclaim my excitement at having more VO videos - please.
Plus that is an amazingly awesome bear, as always….
More to come! Thank you!
Awesome!!! Great craftsmanship love your work. I like the Voice Over.
I enjoy when the artist tells what is going through his or her mind and how they accomplishes it. 😎
Thank you. I think I will continue them!
New sub here. I’m in love with you sculpture. It was quite impressive the way you turned an oops into cutting and charcuterie board. Since you asked, I think the wood was Padua and I like the voice over. Off to binge watch your older stuff now.
Thank you so much and welcome to the channel Terri!
Voiceover option is top tier, please keep it on!
Will do!, THanks
I watch all your videos now Blake and love watching the entire process and learning bits of how you do what you do. Just want to say I like the voice over video and really all your videos. You do awesome work and I'm looking forward to your next video already lol Have a good day
I appreciate that! Thanks for the support
Looks amazing!! Beary good!
Beary Beary Thanks! 😁
I like the voice over 👍🏻 and the bear too 😍 He‘s AMAZING 🤩
Great video - Keep the VO! I (like many others) like to watch these videos alongside other work I'm doing and the VO really helps to keep the video engaging.
You have some serious talent! That turned out awesome! Great job 👏🏻
Thanks Brad!
VA is great, nice to hear the thought process
Your voiceover really helped me. I have low vision, so you explaining made this the best it could be for me… Thanks!
Wow you are very talented! Your video showed up on my recommended page and I’m glad it did. I do like the voiceover rather than just music as I found it informative. Great job! Liked and subscribed :)
Voice over is always good bcoz of your wonderful sense of Humor. 😁 And as always another gem of a creation and vlog. Love from INDIA 🇮🇳
Thank you so much 😁
Ooh I hope you charge thousands for that sculpture, it's worth every penny! Im so inspired!
Great voice over for those of us who care about the tools, information, and technical aspects.
That is the most beautiful piece of art I’ve ever seen
Thank you!
Man you make such amazing stuff. Im currently in the planning phase to attempt this on a much smaller level lol
I would love to see it! Thanks
Amazing work. Please continue the voiceover. The given information makes the video so interesting. Thanks
The movement of your art is beautiful!
the art is so beautiful that i would love it either way, voiceover or no. that being said, i also love learning about the process! i'd love for you to walk us through how you decide on the lengths of the pieces and where the epoxy will be
Thanks for the insight natasha
@@BMSculptures I also loved when you pointed out the little piece of wood you were most proud of! When I do art I always have a really specific favorite thing I love about it and it was so fun to hear yours :) Thanks for your wonderful content!🙏
Красота! Спасибо!
Thanks!
I prefer this style detailed voice over. Thank you for the great content
Loved hearing why you did what you did.
I really like the voice over because it helps explain things and just seems more personal
Definitely, voiceover. You sound calm, relaxed and shows your joy of making these wonderful sculptures. Also how knowledgeable about the subject.
(Not sounding like on steroids and/or a 6 gallons energy drink😱😵💫 makes THE difference)
Besides, We can see what you do and listen while you explain. Not having to go back and forth because you read or you watch is very much appreciated.
Thank you.
Thanks for the insight!
I always appreciate high quality voice over on this kind of content, you mic is crisp and you have a good voice, so it makes it rather enjoyable :D
Wow, thank you!
Voice over is great. Just love watching the art you are creating.
Thank you for sharing your talent!
good to hear the comments about what your doing...nice work bro!
the voiceover, I had absolutely loved it! Your voice is calming While watching the bear just form out of a plan rectangle
I enjoy the voice over and learning how you create these pieces, keep talking.
Thanks !
Voiceover was fantastic!!
Please continue with those!
Thank you so much!
voiceover is amazing love how you break all the steps down and with so much knowledge aswell
Thanks Ryan!
Voiceover! Definitely! Keep up the epic work!
Love the voiceover! Helps to understand better!
Voice over!!!! Its very calming and explains the process. Keep it up!
Love when you joke around sometimes to.... like when your sculpture fell on the ground (I know you didn't mean to) or in this one when there is too many bubbles but its relatable when we all make mistakes. We all learn.
Oh and the one you nearly set your house on fire. Sorry that happened 😔 but you make that funny. Don't do that again haha but it was very entertaining 😄
Thanks! 😃Love the insight!
hahaha yeah that was a scary one!
I like a combo of you talking to the camera and the VO.
Lived your explanation of what you are doing, why and how you feel about it!
Beautiful artwork!!!
i love the voice over in the video, it can really help with understanding the process of the projects and is really nice.
Thanks Luca
Love the narrative! That was awesome how you added the tilt to the bear's head.
Thanks Tim
Beautiful sculpture. I love how the variety of woods show through the apoxy. I prefer the full VO to understand the process.
Thank you very much!
Great stuff! Lovely piece...
VOICE OVER! First time viewer and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love love how you lead and teach with your mistakes. Quality content!!!!!
Thanks Kellen!
Amazing work!!!
Definitely love the voiceover. You have a very nice tone and you say only what needs to be said. A lot of people talk on and on and go into too many tiny little bits that don't even matter and it gets annoying... You do a wonderful job! I could listen to your voice all day. 😁
I love bears and I love this
Blake...i just discovered your channel and have watched several videos over the past few days. Voice over i think is the best, speaking of which....the two 🐻 you have done are my favorites. But then again, my nickname is Ted E. Bear.. Keep doing your awesome carvings, they are awesome.
I absolutely love your work. Your sculptures are breathtaking!
Thank you so much!
Great piece! And the voiceover was great!
Voice over was very helpful! Hope to see more!
More to come!
I enjoy your commentary for sure!
Hey Blake,
You're a very talented sculptor. Love your work. Please include your voice overs. It brings the human factor into your process. All the ups and downs are entertaining and well worth the extra effort of editing from the viewers perspective. Would you ever use other mediums with the epoxy? Like stone, brick, coral, white cement to replicate bone and or combinations of these?
That could produce some really incredible creations.
Regards
