The story behind this is basically that Error snuck his kids with him to Nightmares castle and reads them a new story in the library. Dust happens to pass by to hear Error reading, he checks on him and sees the kids for the first time ever. Hence why he's shocked at first. XD The bad guys don't know about Gradient and Pj, or Error and Ink's past relationship. (In my AU ofc, none of this is canon.) I wanted to continue it but then a lot of stuff got in between and now this is a piece left over from the scrapped story.
