Did it as well. I did not rotate the bit with the uphaul rope though.

Thanks for the video, unfortunately I couldn’t untighten the screw on the red part, it keeps turning in place without getting looser...

Same here, how did you end up loosening the nut?

      @@oadolfss unfortunately I didn’t…

@@TheAlphahot1 but why not just using the boom upside down, any issues with that? I never did.

@@oadolfss no because the holes for the clip are going to get filled with water, so the weight of the boom could increase as water keeps getting in

@@oadolfss the only solution is to rig it as it is, or flip the sail, rig it on the other side, then flip it back and finish trimming the downhaul etc.

Awesome video thanks. Is the boomhead supposed to be able to spin around 360 degrees? Mine is new and does, not sure if it's supposed to or something is wrong. Thank you!

No worries, nothing's wrong. It's supposed to be able to move.

Trying to mount a ProLimit head because the old one broke. Now I have no idea how you get to the position of the piece 1:02 (ua-cam.com/video/YN4IK0kWD0Q/v-deo.html). I have the impression even if I would find a way to spread it that much it would break....Thanks for any ideas

I carefully spread the head with my fingers, being careful not to put too much strain on it. It was quite tight and took a couple of tries, but it did give enough to snap off (and back on). Without breaking.

@ 🙏🏼! I finally managed by heating the head slightly with a hair dryer

When i try to ubscrew the screws, the nut keeps turning in place. The plastic xannot gold the nut. Also there is no room to fit a wrench or a hex key to hold it... How did yoi do this?

I did nothing special, mine didn’t turn, so no idea.

to rig a mast rdm, do you use an adapter to the boom?

    • @bminderh73
      @bminderh73  2 роки тому

Personally I don’t because the boom fits on an rdm perfectly. So that will depend on your boom.

Не пойму зачем он последнюю деталь перевернул с петлей для старт шкота. Ее не нужно было трогать. Я так же сделал. Но последнюю деталь не переворачивал..

Could you not just flip the sail...??? Just cause a sail comes rolled with the mast sleeve on the right dosent mean you can’t roll the other way so that when you open your sail up out of the bag the mast sleeve is on the left. Solves the problem and dosent void any warranty.

Absolutely! Thing is, some sails kinda keep their form when rolled up one way which can be quite annoying. And, we had to do something due to lack of wind... ;-)

The problem is the extension too, the ones from severne are reversed

  • @matthewstocks7025

Its not that hard to flip a sail over before rigging, also yes the extension finishes on the other side but again, its not that hard to thread the ropes from the other side.
