I liked the video in terms of variety and location (would love to visit this interesting garden). I did not gain much in information due to the interviewers constant interruption of the garden representative who was likely a font of information (that I would have loved to receive). Don't think I'll watch another video with her in it.
This will be our first season growing allium’s and we are so excited. Everything we plant in the front of our home has to be deer resistant and alliums are perfect for that!!
I planted some bulbs a few days ago in different areas of the yard to see how they will do this upcoming Spring. Thanks for sharing all of the varieties.
I have noticed on several different videos, the lady doing the interviews is constantly interrupting the other person speaking. Sure would be much more pleasant for all if she did not. Otherwise nice videos.
Thank you to Leslie. Great garden. Great alliums. When is the best time to divide them? I have some that have been in the ground for 4 years. My honey bees love them.
Nice video showing all the different varieties of alliums. Beautifully intermingled with other plants. Do you just cut them back in the fall or can you cut the stalks off after they finished blooming? I want to plant some in my garden. I take it they like full sun because of where they are planted in that garden?

Plant when the ground is not frozen and air temps are consistently above freezing at night. You don't want the bulbs to sit in cold, wet soil because it's not warm enough to grow or they might rot before they sprout.
We usually leave Millennium allium flowers standing-they’ll dry and hold up clear through winter for interest. If you don’t like that look, you can snip them off as low as you can into the foliage so you don’t see the stubs. Or wait until they are brown, and usually you can tug them and they’ll pull out easily once the stems are dry enough.
Typically plant the bulbs in the fall before the first freeze. There are some that don't grow from bulbs that you can plant anytime during the growing season. Thanks for watching.
I was trying to read the transcript. The closed caption and the transcript look like a foreign language, but it's supposed to be English. It's impossible to read. Just thought you should know.

Thanks for watching and commenting. We have taken note.

That is awesome! Good luck
Since you are a newby, you do need to be aware that alliums spread, both by the proliferation of bulbs and by seeds.

Good luck!
The garden so beautiful. Thanks 🙏
Love Kristin ‘s voice and she always well respect her interviewers.
Thank you, Kristin does a great job!
The Allium bulgaricum blooms just like Comphrey with a hood or nodding bloom. Lovely
Yes, so nice
Excellent information. Thank you. Graceful Beauty was my favorite!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching.
Nicely presented. Thank you!
So glad you liked it. Thanks for watching.
Best video about different allium varieties and to see how they work together in a lovely garden. Love the Schubertii!
Thanks for watching and glad you found the content useful.
Loved this! I planted some allium this year, just ordered some more. Keep these coming!
Thank you! We will keep making videos if you keep watching!
Very pretty!
Thank you! Cheers!
Such a glorious place! Thanks for showcasing all those beautiful varieties of alliums!
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Love watching these videos! Ive been unsuccessful in having alliums return the following year. I’ll give mount Everest a try.
So glad you found this video helpful. Good luck with Mount Everest!

Thanks for the comment.
Agree
Me too. She speaks over them as well.
I felt bad for the person she was interviewing. Very harsh and not flowing interview.
Yes, be quiet and let her talk!!
Beautiful! Thanks
Thank you too!
nice garden
Thanks for visiting
Amazing😊
Thanks 😄
I’ve always had problems with my Alliums coming back the next year
Are the squirrels getting them? We have that problem.
This was very informative. Thank you!
For sure! Thanks for watching.
I have a few summer drummer alliums and they tend to grow 8ft tall lol
Amazing! 🤩
Thank you to Leslie. Great garden. Great alliums. When is the best time to divide them? I have some that have been in the ground for 4 years. My honey bees love them.
The spring-blooming alliums can be divided now. They go dormant in summer. Thanks for watching
I enjoyed about the alludes but not all the traffic noise !
Yes, it is a tough place to shoot. Right next to the freeway. But we felt it was worth it because the alliums are so awesome!

@@GardenGateMagazine thank you 😊
I bought some allium bulbs at the Philadelphia Flower Show this March. Is it alright to plant them now (zone 5 NEPA). Thank you

I love tuberosum (garlic chives), but I try to deadhead it so I don't have too many.
When the foliage has turned brown can you then cut it back to make for easier mowing?
Hi April! Allium can be cut back once they turn brown and dried, as they have stored all the energy for next year that they will need by then.
Nice tour. There is a large bush in the background with pink hydrangea like blossoms on it. Could you tell me what it is?
The tree in question is Aesculus x carnea ‘Fort McNair’ or red horse chestnut. So beautiful!
Good video.
Thanks for the visit
Beautiful garden, can you tell me which ones seeds itself please? I just learning so much about allium, felll in love with them
The drumstick type alliums typically reseed.
@@GardenGateMagazine , thank you, some videos say purple sensation seeds itself, it’s weird I always thought it came from the bulbs
Can that seed on the Allium gigantium be planted?
Yes, they will germinate quickly but it may take a few years to get flowering size bulbs
Thank you!
Do I need to cut the stems after blooming? If so, how many inches should I leave above the ground? I have Millium hybrid.

Awesome what zone do they grow in????
It does vary. You need to check each variety. You can for sure find them from zone 3-9.
When do you usually plant alliums?

Thank you for the info.. I really enjoyed the program.

It was great. A lot of talking over each other. Hard to follow. But pretty
Thanks for watching
Agreed...
Yeah she ask the question but don't want to listen to her answer, lady maybe we do
That might be why the transcript looks like gibberish.
Pozdrawiam.

Thanks for letting us know.
Is that a horse chestnut in the background?
It is!
Allowed me to see how each of them looks in a bed.
I wish you would have stopped interrupting the expert trying to show the alliums and talk about them
Thanks for your feedback
