This entire band is a Unicorn. Floor is a Unicorn. A Valkyrie / Unicorn. 🦄 🙂 My goodness... everything she does is magical. What a gift they are. Great reaction! 👍🏻
"I think this DVD is gonna kick ass" The understatement of the century lol As you said this concert was one in a million, even though the others are great too. This wasn't Floor's first concert, she had been for a couple of months with the band as Anette replacement, but it was her first 'big concert' so to speak. Her first gig was actually in the US, in Seattle I believe, there's some footage of that
Floor had been with Nightwish allready 10 months before Wacken consert. Also she had been in big festivals by then too in Finland, not as big as Wacken of course but she had a good amount of experience by then and it shows.
What makes Wacken so special is 82,000 people most of whom had never heard Floor sing with Nightwish were blown away. She had been singing with band 10 months but had 48 hours to learn the set for her first performance on tour, she became an official member of the band as well as Troy 2 months after this concert !!
This concert was where Floor had enough previous shows under her belt with the band that she had refined the songs to a fine point to where they were all the magical performances we see from Wacken.....although even the first few shows she did with the band were pretty damned awesome too. The "Learn this playlist in 48 hours" was in 2012 when she had to do a crash course learning the songs.
Well, this was the last ride of the iconic Wacken 2013 show. I've seen the whole show for multiple times on YT and on my dvd and with reactors. For me this is the best live production ever. But then there are excellent Tampere 2015, Wembley Arena 2015 and Buenos Aires 2018 shows eagerly waiting for you, you lovely people. ⛄💗👫
As a Nightwish follower, I love all their songs, to me they are all Imaginariumly epic. Damn I just wish I could have attended this open air concert......
The inquiry about Floor's first concert, it was on a US tour in October 2012 in Seattle, Washington. Annette took ill suddenly, and they asked Floor to take over vocals for their next show in Seattle, in which she learned that set list in 48 hours. She didn't become official until October 2013, soon after this Wacken show.
Floor became an official member after their last show of that tour at M'era Luna Festival, which took place eight days later. It was my first time I shot them.
@@music2seeconcertphotograph457 Actually Floor got the suit for becoming a permanent member of Nightwish before the Wacken concert. At that time she was still having her band "ReVamp". However Nightwish won her heart completely as it turned out they are a perfect match both on and off-stage.
@@MacZussie Floor and Nightwish is definitely a Win-Win-Win-Situation (for them and for the fans). From what I heard/read it became official at/after M'era Luna. It was of course "no surprise".
@@MacZussie Yeah, from what I understand she was already a permanent member of the band at the Wacken show, they just hadn't made the public announcement yet.
Floor had been singing with the band for 10 months before this show. Her first show was in Oct. of 2012. This show was in August of 2013. Love this song. Beautifully done Ginger & Mike. Peace. 😊🙏🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘✌
The first concert Floor played with Nightwish was in the middle of the American leg of their 2012 tour, when the previous singer quit suddenly. This was the "learn the setlist in 48 hours" moment. The Wacken concert was the first one after she and Troy had been asked to become permanent full members, but IIRC, it hadn't been announced publically yet. The 2015 Wembley concert was pretty good too: pros and cons compared to Wacken. One performance from Wembley that you should check out is 7 Days To The Wolves: it's fabulous :-)
Yep....A fun song. Don't forget, this was the first time almost all 82K saw the band live with Floor and Troy....And they NAILED it ! Look at their faces, they know they found the perfect fit.
ok ginger, I believe this was her 4th concert with them, I think she joined them after Denver for their Seattle concert, then Portland, then Buenos Aires where it seems she got real comfortable and then Wacken where she perfected it. You can see how comfortable she is with the band and how they also admire her too.
Greetings, Mike & Ginger. Floor joined Nightwish onstage for the first time in Seattle, Washington on October 1st 2012. This concert was 10 months later on August 3td 2013 but at this point formalities had already taken place in regards to Floor's permanent standing with the band. That actually happened in June 2013. Great reaction!! Thank you for the video and comments. Stay safe and stay blessed. 😊❤🤘🤘
She joined as fill in singer 10 months before the Wacken show late Sept 2012. At the time of Wacken in August 2013 she was still only signed through the end of the tour. The first concert she sang at was in Seattle, Washington and yes she had roughly 48 hours to prep. She did not have all the songs memorized and just to be safe that had lyrics posted around the stage in places she could see if necessary. Even with that information by the time they got to Wacken Toumas already knew she was who they wanted to be the new lead. It was made official about 9 weeks later in October 2013
This was the tour she joined in on midway after Annette was let go. I think she'd been with them a few months of touring by this concert. Awesome regardless
Thank you :-) I hope that you had time to watch the International Women's Day special of "Floor Finds", with Simone from Epica. They're both such great persons, and role models.
What a band! What a band! What a band! And what a great, lovely reactor duo! :) Floor was actually 10 months with the band here, but not officially a member yet. Even so, 10 months is not a long time to get to this level in the first place. What is really nice though, is that with the exception of Emppu, who seems to be happy most of the time as long as he has a beer and a guitar, the band members really all look happy, which is not so much the case in concerts before Floor joined :). At least, that is my interpreation of what I have seen so far. Great reaction and interaction, as always! Love, warmest regards, Wim P.S.: Almost missed this one!

Wacken Open Air festival September 2013 was the closing concert of their Imaginaerum World Tour. Floor was asked to jump in almost a year before (halfway this two years tour) her first ft. concert was in Seattle October 1st, 2012. Floor Jansen, was born in the Netherlands on Februari 21st, 1981. Her vocalrange runs from E3 to D6. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5th, 2010, she presented her new band ‘ReVamp’, which was disbanded in September 2016. In August 2010 Jansen was a guest in the TV program De tiende van Tijl. You could, and almost should, have done the official live video from Helsinki arena show. Smaller venue and indoors but in many ways also better than the Wacken one. Too few people react to that one.
Another great vocalist but in a totally different style from Nightwish is Chris Stapleton. A reaction to Chris Stapleton's "Somethings I Cry" from the Bing lounge is highly, highly recommended. Many vocal coaches that have reacted to Floor Jansen have also reacted to Chris Stapleton and love Chris just as much as Floor even with both doing completely different styles.
I love how Floor is a bad ass frontwoman for a metal band, but is not afraid to be femine at the same time. She is skipping across stage and saying her hips at points in the song, it just so cool to see. A lot of metal ladies think they have to be passed by demons or something.
Did you do already "The greatest Show on Earth"? I am not sure right now. You should do definitely "Tampere version" and not Wembley if you love fireworks.
They are epic, I wish I woulda been able to to see them....and sadly, I never can, how they were. I was gonna work on going to see them, at the closest, easiest place I could...then shit went down, with the record label and Marko isn't with them....they'll never be the same to me, without him. tried some of their stuff after he left, I just can't do it, the music isn't the same, and no vocals....not that it's bad now, they aren't and still are amazing, but anything of theirs after Marko, just not my deal.
Love your reactions. Love Nightwish to bits and back. (But still plugging for Richard Hawley. ua-cam.com/video/LBTA3v1Jt_I/v-deo.html Pretty please. Down on hands and knees.)

I love how Floor is a bad ass frontwoman for a metal band, but is not afraid to be femine at the same time. She is skipping across stage and saying her hips at points in the song, it just so cool to see. A lot of metal ladies think they have to be passed by demons or something.
Haha. Totally agree - G
To me that's their ultimate show closer, even more than TGSOE
🤘🤘
Crap. I’ve seen Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes, VH, Aerosmith, Crue live. N/W is next level...if that even exists
In real life Floor is very modest and kind. On stage it is a little different. Check out Beste Zanger European songcontest. Euphoria. Pff.....
Did you do already "The greatest Show on Earth"?
I am not sure right now.
You should do definitely "Tampere version" and not Wembley if you love fireworks.
We did it for Ginger's birthday!

Hi! Please react to Evanescence "Use My Voice"! It's poweful! It's amazing!
THE NIPLE good forgive my sins 😭
Please check out Angie McMahon, she’s an insanely underrated artist.
This is Floors first "Last ride of the day" ua-cam.com/video/ULxJxNFEt7Q/v-deo.html
Not horses, rollercoasters...
Love your reactions. Love Nightwish to bits and back. (But still plugging for Richard Hawley. ua-cam.com/video/LBTA3v1Jt_I/v-deo.html Pretty please. Down on hands and knees.)
