Joscho's a monster player. I'd love to see more of his stuff on the channel. I only discovered him in the past 5 years and wish I found his stuff sooner.
his techinality level is wayyyy UP there!! i found him about a year ago and i wish i found him sooner too. he easily became one of my favorite guitarist if not my number 1 guitarist
same here. phenomenal on youtube. absolute fantastic live. he is coming back to the us in may/june '24. if you have the chance you must see joscho stephan live!!!
Joscho is phenomenal amazing technique but always musical and never just for show. He s a gold mine of crazy lines . As for the wiggling riff it s often used in gypsy jazz often using an open string as you move up you still play the open string every other beat a great technique
INCREDIBLY brave of you to take this on. Two Genii, if that's even a word, or even if it isn't, I'm sayin' it. Two giants of the stringed machine made accessible by one of the best teachers I know. THANK YOU, Michael. You add a LOT to my world. 🙏
i think what you do for the guitar community is awesome. three chords around a campfire or the encycopedia of the greatest players ever, its all good! guitar is awesome! who's with me?!
The bluesy lick at minute 11:03 It’s a very tiny detail but very effective. Joscho is playing the 5th note pre bended and releases it to the flat 5 which is Ab. And on top of that he holds the d note on the second string in the 15 fret. That produces the sound of a lap steel slide guitar. Very cool move. So well refined.❤
Joscho is a wizard and one of the most precise players I've seen. Don't think I've seen him miss a note or half-assing a note ever. You should watch Valse a Django for instance. Pitch perfect timing and he still gives it personality and groove
You should check out Joscho's (Yo Sho) UA-cam channel, it's excellent! He is one of THE BEST players alive today! Search for his version of Sweet Georgia Brown! 🤯😃🔥🔥🔥
If you have never heard The Claw by Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed, or There'll be some changes made by Chet Atkins and Mark Knopfler, please do yourself a favor and give them a listen! That's the kind of music I grew up on!
Not sure if this is rehearsed, Joscho is just that good. You have to check him out a little more, he is the real deal, I've noted before, Django, Wes, Charlie, Chet, etc. are looking down and saying, WHOAH!!!
i'm running out of things to say about these amazing musicians covered here. the more notes, the merrier! the other guy even looks like thrift store di meola.

Meanwhile, Guthrie Govan appears in the distance, politely asking "Am I a joke to you?" 😂

I saw Mike Dawes open for Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues. It was so memorizing and he's a brilliant guitar player.
I hit the like button before I actually watch the video, you can't really go wrong here. Always good stuff for our eyes and ears.

I absolutely love Mike Dawes. The song he made with Plini is just *chef's kiss*. Speaking of which you really need to check out some Plini stuff👀
Joscho has a great "Cracking the Code" interview with Troy Grady.
Michael you HAVE to do the Derek Trucks/Phish sit in. Everything's Right with the Blue Sky teases and First Tube. Absolutely killer.

I’m pretty sure his tremolo/picking is clean at a higher bpm than anyone else

I love this style of playing!!! You should really check out Calum Graham the nomad!! You wont believe your eyes or ears
Awesome breakdown brother! And his name is pronounced "Yo-show" if I'm not mistaken. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing :)
Love your channel subscribed 👍
Never heard of them. Shame on me i haven't known that Joscho is also

React to black midis live kexp performance, new upcoming rock band and I think you’d love there stuff!! The gutairs are godly 💀
You know Joscho. You reacted to Rattle Snake Reggae!
WHILE IM THINKING TO LEARN THAT, MICHAEL HAS PLAY IT ALREADY xD , GREAT AS ALWAYS ..
If you have never heard The Claw by Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed, or There'll be some changes made by Chet Atkins and Mark Knopfler, please do yourself a favor and give them a listen! That's the kind of music I grew up on!
You have done one on Joscho before!
Has anyone suggested Adeem the Artist "Middle of a Heart" yet? I think you would love it.
Кайф! Абсолютный!
Mike, phonetically I believe he pronounces his first name Yosco. That's the way I have heard Tommy E and others introduce him. Have a great week Mike.
Mike...what type of guitar are you using?
Try Sylvain Luc. Ths guy is an absolute animal...
Far as licks go Joscho has so many many of them and they are all used really well.
Not sure if this is rehearsed, Joscho is just that good. You have to check him out a little more, he is the real deal, I've noted before, Django, Wes, Charlie, Chet, etc. are looking down and saying, WHOAH!!!
lol welp looks like i need to practice more
Check out Joscho with Tommy Emmanuel or Richard Smith
Its all about Django.😜
Please check out the doo 😊

TRY!
First
Is that totally UNPLUGGED?!?
Yes.
I hate all that guitar slapping
It's pronouced "yawshow"
I saw Mike Dawes playing with Tommy Emanuel last year at a small venue in red bluff CA, was fantastic!
Try "YAW SKO" for Joscho.
