Played this twice at GenCon this year and was left with “meh” feeling but also felt like it had a lot of promise and I was not strategizing well. After seeing this video it makes so much more sense. I was being way too secretive the whole time and never once found the key roles on either team. Being very vocal is a game changer.
Really glad you guys focused on Quinns and Pip in this video. I watched a different playthrough that was a complete clusterfuck because it never really focused on anyone. It was no different from a regular video about people just standing around and drinking.
Always loved the sound of this and now I've watched it played I feel the NEED to play it! Shame I'm never going to get that many people in one place to play, off to conventions I must go!
I have it, and it's a great game. here's a tip if you do get it, though. Get card sleeves, and put the cards in backwards and upside down. Backwards, so it doesn't get easily flashed, and people won't bend them up trying to hide them. Upside down, because it says what team you are on at the bottom, so it would be easy to color share.
"-But the other team had Pip, who had just unironically bought herself a crown." "Heh, that sounds like something C&C Pip would do. Wait... IT IS C&C Pip!" lol
Played this game once and figured out who the bomber was then got elected as room leader, since our room was mostly blue it was possible to keep the bomber in the room and so long as they couldn’t leave we would win. On the last round I revealed this information to the room expecting us to win only for the president to be sent into our room at the very end. Never declare victory until you actually win 😅
I can imagine when you have a game with so many people, the likelihood of many of them not having played before (or being non-gamers that were dragged in) is pretty high. I wish I had this many friends... :'( :P
A lot of the characters likely had their own rules they had to play. Like, Romeo and Juliet looked to be gray cards and were supposed to find each other... and not be with the bomb. And there were a maid and butler that wanted to be where the president was. They probably understood enough to play... but not enough to be great at it. Now that I've watched this, I think it would be interesting to play... but I'd probably be terrible at it.
I did well at this and won 60% of my games at Dragonflight this year. I was dealt color in the beginning then gray later on so I didn't have too much trouble.
For someone who loves games as much as he does, I hope Quinn has learned to respect other players' experiences in the years since this video was released. There was so much steamrolling and barking orders in this playthrough that no room was left for other playstyles, personalities, or those who were still learning how to play. I feel so badly for anyone for whom this was their first or only opportunity to try this game out. For the face of this channel, which is supposed to be about sharing the joy of games with other people, I was shocked at how little Quinn seemed to care that he was depriving other players of fun. No one wants to play with someone who cares more about winning than learning the names of the other people they're playing with. Really upsetting and really disappointing. I don't think I can watch this channel the same way anymore.

@@PigGuy2301 you sir are a life saver! recently bought the game and wanted to find an online version to reduce eyestrain reading the tiny text but could not find it anywhere. Thank you!
This did not look fun. I definitely wouldn’t want to play with that Quinn guy. He’s kind of a bully. It looks like his attitude sucked out the joy of the game for most of the people he came in contact with besides a couple of the other dudebros. The potential of getting stuck in a game with someone like him is exactly what I fills me with dread. This is the type of thing that makes me want to avoid playing group games at cons.
Since they are no longer affiliated with various other channels for their UA-cam video uploads(Kotaku UK, PennyArcadeTV etc.) and now have their own active official channel. They are slowly uploading their videos so that they are all available in one place. They are doing it this way so as to not to have to upload everything in one go (loads of work and limited by upload speeds) and so that the people who haven't seen this stuff yet can watch it on a consistent schedule. This actually helps the channel end up on people's "What to watch" feed since the channel is consistently uploading content that people are watching regularly, which UA-cam's algorithm favours.
I'm fine with the recycling, but I don't understand why they don't timestamp when they created them first. And, of course, I'm getting a little sad inside whenever I see "yay, new upload :D" and then realize "aww, no new video :("...
You guys should try Kingdom Death: Monster. The upgraded core game is being Kickstarted again (first printing sold out) on the 25th of November. It's expensive, yes...but you'll easily get 100-200 hours of playtime. It can be played solo, there are already 11 expansions to add, and it's possibly one of the best co-op boardgames ever made. There are youtube reviews and gameplay up to check it out before you sink any money into the KS.
So glad that yelling "HOSTAGES" in a crowded hall didn't get anyone arrested.
Underrated

Oh i would love to see more playtroughs of this game
it's a shame there aren't more videos of this game. This was so entertaining!
24:40: If I remember my high school English classes correctly, that means the other half blows themself up, presumably killing the president?
This is one of the games that is impossible to play
so many players needed
I know your pain
you can play with 6 players
That was more tense than I thought!
So much fun to watch!
Social distancing sucks extra hard after watching this.
Did I miss something or did half the people here not understand how to play this game?
So, a typical game of 2R&aB

It was at the SU&SD pub event during GenCon 2015. Likely most of the people hadn't played before but were in theory gamers/fans of theirs
I have no idea whats going on watching it

This game looks like a lot of fun. I wish I could play this myself but that was the before times.
my god it is Amazing to see quinns getting his ass handed to him. lovely stuff folks
It was really fun. Felt like I was a member of team red😂😂
i played last week and i was the president and i was in the same room as the doc but the leader randomly chose me to be the hostage. Great game
so fun to see
This was a fun video. I would like to see more of this game.

I want to play this so bad.

This game but it's a contact sport
This game would be extremely fun, but never allowed in an airport.

What do you mean angle can not tell the truth?
angel can ONLY tell the truth. for example if someone says “are you the bomber” you would say no

Why are you guys recycling your videos?
I think they're putting them up on youtube for the first time?
Since they are no longer affiliated with various other channels for their UA-cam video uploads(Kotaku UK, PennyArcadeTV etc.) and now have their own active official channel. They are slowly uploading their videos so that they are all available in one place.

Ewan Jones Plus it gives me an excuse to watch old videos!
Also it helps those of us with sub-par internet speeds watch their videos, since Vimeo doesn't downscale quality as well as UA-cam.
I'm fine with the recycling, but I don't understand why they don't timestamp when they created them first.
And, of course, I'm getting a little sad inside whenever I see "yay, new upload :D" and then realize "aww, no new video :("...
