      They have two separate ceremonies

because the IOC wants the athletes to have a proper ceremony in nice and warm temparature not just a quickie

how are koreans so good at skating? They dont even live in a icy country...

+kil koh I wonder about that too. I watched this video repeatedly for about four times and noticed that Lee's upper body is lower and steadier than the other ladies. Her upper body is also slimmer than most of the other ladies as well. However, her lower body is noticeably muscular and well-built. Perhaps, since this particular sport is sensitive to air resistance, the combination between Lee's posture and body shape gives her the advantage to a certain extent besides the endless and heavy training and practice.

+kil koh "They dont even live in a icy country..."??? Do you even know where the heck korea is? Why the hell so many soldiers died in frozen in korean war? The typical winter temperature in seoul is about -13 C. Do we have to start with other norther part of korea too? Because someplace are colder than siberia like -40 C. Don't be so lame. The next winter olympic will be held in korea. if you think they are 'not icy country' how the hell they can do that.

+kil koh I don't know, but not only Korea, but also China and Japan, have always been extraordinarily strong in speed skating sprint events. One must also remember that speed skating is an indoor sport at the top level, the country doesn't need to be cold to have an indoor ice rink.
Many skaters have also started as roller skaters, then decided to go get a chance to win an olympic gold by transitioning themselves into ice skaters. The current 1000 and 1500-meter world records for ladies are skated by girls from Florida and North Carolina.

+kil koh Korea is an icy country too. It is an indoor sport Korea have an ice rink heavy training and self discipline is the key. They maybe train abroad Lee Sang Hwa trains in Canada.
