The way he tries soooo hard to fight his avenger impulses has really endeared Salieri to me. Fate is really good at this sort of plot thread, even if it's not really historical. I think I almost cried in his interlude.
There's something to point out. There are two types of Avenger Servant, the Dantes Type (the betrayed ones) and the Angra Type (the target of undeserved hatred across their entire lives). These two types are represented in the skills of oblivion correction and Avenger (the skill) respectively. Most Avengers are in a spectrum between the two, but Salieri is clearly mostly an Angra Type. So yeah the rumours and slander are what basically make him an Avenger (his two latter skills), and not his hatred to Mozart which is forced upon him (his first skill).
Sally being Avengers under assumption he did assassin Mozart is interesting since it give them such fun interactions. And it makes a possible Caster Sally that don't wanna punch Mozart's throat out a little more enjoyable for me.
You could say that his summoning as an Avenger was never about hatred for Mozart in the first place, but rather his hatred for the rumors themselves that ruined haunted and corroded his life. In essence he is an Avenger fighting against his own accursed reputation unlike other Avengers whose motivations are more selfish and sinister. This may be the unique case that actually qualifies him for this class, even at a low level as he is to this day the only 3 star Avenger Servant in FGO. This would explain why Innocent Monster is as powerful as it is for him, as said reputation haunted him to to the point of mental insanity and attempted suicide. It also explains his Noble Phantasm a lot better. He says ‘Holy God have mercy upon me’ as he is not mad at God himself but those ‘beloved’ by him, those whose faith would lead to such rumors spreading rather than actual reasoning that would prove he wouldn’t do such a thing, which wouldn’t be the first time religious faith has blurred the morality lines historically speaking.
I read somewhere that apparently Salieri only qualified for the throne of heros only because of the rumors of him killing Mozart so why he lacks alot of the real Salieri.

There is a play is which mozart is portrayed like Jesus and Salieri as a diabolic force which influences his third acsension, also a part of the slander is him being a mediocre musician so I doubt we will get a ver focused on his own music (but perhaps as a teacher) {btw a problem with him why doesn't he use poison in his kit}. Oh and his NP is probably referencing his (fictional) confession to a priest about the murder.
My favorite servant and also my favorite composer, he's got some fantastic music. Thank you for including the fact that he taught Beethoven, it's isn't a super well known fact. Requiems are actually a style of composition built around Catholic funeral masses and are set to Gregorian chants, Salieri plays parts of his in some of his attacks and skill animations. One of my favorite aspects of his design is that his skills pair up with Mozart's. He's a servant with arts and crit skils so that Mozart can buff him, which is really funny when you think about how that would play out. To be fair about the genericness of his skills, he isn't the real Salieri and since the main aspect of his portrayal is the rumors, his skills wouldn't be based off of his music, instead being built around his supposed jealousy and hatred towards Mozart. I do agree with the rating though, but I think FGO's rendition is a fantastically interesting character and I hope he gets more screentime in the future.
not a good arts looper?!.... Well yeah, he's a three star. Considering most looping servants are either 4 stars or above with self charges or NP gain ups I'd say he does pretty well for himself. He's actually my go to for Arts looping. Especially after I ended up with over 30 of him on the recent extra class based banner. (I needed more copies of Astraea)
I hate being the actually type of guy, but there are some correction I need to say, innocent monster is a skill that can vary on the influence it has on the user, from body modification, personality modification or even power modification is a skill that influences the real servant on varying degrees depending on the person and their reputation, also ex rank as explained in the materials dosnt mean strongest but either that it has unique effects or is unmeasurable( an example would be nightingale’s noble phantasm which stop all conflict in the area for a period of time, that np is ranked ex because it can’t be measured because of its special effect), as for salieri’s degree of innocent monster, this is way stronger than usual because more people now a days know the lie that salieri was a rival that would kill his friend, even if it wasn’t true this summoning as an avenger has our dear salieri trapped by this compulsive lie that is trying to controll him. It is the actual salieri but do to innocent monster all of him is warped into a monster of revenge as such his real skills as a servant are lost in favour of the man in gray, Altho its actually fortunate for him to be in this state as much it is hell for him because his stats Apparantly are way better than what caster salieri would have had do to being not really know today much apart from the lie. But yeh sorry if I had this wall of text I just wanted to point out some stuff

If EX just meant "better than A", that would imply that Thomas Edison is somehow even more durable than Heracles himself, which isn't the case. The reason behind Edison's EX rank is because "When he's working on a project, he can pull multiple all-nighters without stopping", meaning he technically has excellent endurance, but only in extremely niche situations. His bio even explicitly notes "With the exception of Luck, all of Edison's parameters are either E or EX rank. However, because of the special circumstances in which he was summoned, his actual abilities are between D and E rank.". Some of them are EX rank because they all work rather unusually, but comparing them to other servants, they are effectively rank E-D in practice. Although, sometimes an EX rank can be stronger than A rank, with the example of Spartacus. He also has Endurance rank EX, but it's a result of his noble phantasm, Crying Warmonger, which allows him to convert 100% of the damage he takes into magical energy, and his passive skill Honor of Suffering which reduces the energy needed to heal himself after taking damage down to 1/4th of what it normally would be. Combined together, they mean that even though his "true" Endurance rank is likely far far lower, in reality, if a fight goes on for too long he'll end up out-healing whatever you throw at him, so he gets rank EX endurance. If you want to kill Spartacus, it MUST be in a single extremely short attack, as if you give him more than a minute, he'll simply heal back to full HP as well as gain 3/4ths of the damage dealt as energy for him to use in attacks. Innocent Monster is given to servants who gained such an extreme reputation due to the actions they took in life, that as a servant the reputation partially "overwrites" who they are. Vlad III has it at such a high rank, rank A, because of the horrifying legends of "Vlad the Impaler" became so dominant in the eyes of the general public, whereas Dumas has it at only E because most of the controversy surrounding him are still under investigation(according to his profile), so there's a genuine awareness that "this may not really be who he was" in the public eyes. From Salieri's profile, the way I understand the skill description is that the reason he gets EX rank innocent monster is because he had absolutely zero control over it. Normally the IM users gain that skill because of actions they took, and then the rumor mill went wild using those actions as fuel. But Salieri never did anything at all, the rumors were entirely groundless as he had never killed anyone whatsoever, much less the man he admired so strongly, but those rumors spread SO far SO fast, that the skill was forced onto him. His bio says he normally should have only had a skill named "Self Denial", which we know nothing at all about, but apparently it ended up fusing into Innocent Monster somehow. Though it's unclear if that's just info about what "normal Salieri" would have as a skill, or if it implies Innocent Monster being rank EX is due to it being a composition skill made up of a normal ranked Innocent Monster and Self-Denial.
love my boi Salieri, wish his wildfire skill worked like morgens 3d skill but instead of placing a single target defense down after a turn, it paces an aoe defense down before the turn. it would be a great way to show his Rumer spreading in gameplay terms
Now that he's one of the star on the new OC story, I wonder if He's going to do a part2 or a REvise of theses characters, ie; Jeanne Alter, Salieri and such. (well tbh Jeanne Alter is kinda her own character now not just a different flavor Jeanne)
I've yet to look into OC2 just yet. I do imagine that I'll have to give little "updates" for a few servants here and there. As for Jalter, I did the Jeanne video already and got into the origins of Jalter there. As much as I like the character? Doing a full video on her... I don't know.

You would probably give salieri a slightly higher grade if ordeal call 2 had released back then when you made this video, he takes the role of a teacher and even manages to avoid killing the Mozart counterpart of that arc when he has forced into his avenger form by [SPOILERS]
Honestly I kinda like how generic and impersonal his Skills are. The sad reality is that the Rumours of him being Mozart’s murderer is pretty much the single most and only noteworthy thing about Salieri. Fame bonus in full effect here in the worst way possible. Failure in historical accuracy but amazing as a character design
My Sallieri is np5, grailed. Used him to farm for the longest time. It's such a disappointment that despite being np5 and max bond you can't unlovk all his append skills without many many useless duplicates

Any looper that's decent like Sally just means they need a little more plugs and work. Viable and usable just need a little elbow grease.
