By far the most honest review I have seen of this camera yet! Well explained and thought out! I rented the camera and have been trying out the video and photo function for the last couple of days. The 6.2K at night is insane and so far I haven't experienced to much lag in my M1 mini. This camera is a definite game changer.
Thanks! Totally agree! 6k open gate 422 is by far my favorite movie mode to shoot in - I have that mode set to the auto-record function. If you have the cf express space, try the 6k ProRes - so lovely!
@@NathanielRolland You're quite welcome. I have shot ProRes with my iPhone and I never really saw the difference when brought on to my computer. But will give it a try when I head back out later today and tonight. Until I buy the camera, no need for CF Express just yet. But I agree it is the most expensive piece of plastic you will buy for your camera. Just really need to mess around with the functions a lot over this next week. Keep up the good work. Subbed to the channel!
I’m super impressed with the photo quality out of this camera. Even though it’s the same mp as the xt4, there seems to be more resolution to work with.
LOVEEE the intro! Enjoyed that the video was aesthetic, informational, honest - I really enjoyed it! Thanks! Looking forward to more videos from you! :)
Nice video, I agree on basically everything you said but the video/photo switch. My dream would be having that switch as well, making sure each custom mode can have different settings for video and photo. That would make everything so straightforward... Other than that I definitely miss being able to push the front and back wheel, especially when using a lens such as the 18-120, without aperture ring.
That Auto-ISO thing is the same on my XT30II and (i'm sure) the XT4. They never show the ISO you're going to get until you half press. Dunno why... just is like that. I don't mind it too much, as my 3 Auto-ISO's have different ceiling limits, so I kinda know which one I am in from looking at the ISO and seeing the upper limit (even if my shot will not produce that ISO). Nice review.
Nice video! As I understood you shoot mostly 1080p and 4k24? Wouldn’t the X-T5 be a good enough tool for that with the possibility to do raw output also? Or maybe the kind of stock footage you do requires 120fps?
Thanks Thierry! Biggest differences between XH2S and the XT5 for video I think would be better rolling shutter, faster readout/autofocus, internal ProRes, 6k open gate, 4k 120, and layout(pasm). I really enjoy the feel of the XT, but more for photo than video.
Hey, great review! Loved the intro! 11:21 : as far as I know, and on every Fujifilm I’ve owned i.e older ones like X-T2&3 and X-Pro1&2, when in auto 1/2/3 iso for photo they have only ever shown the actual iso when half pressing the shutter; I’m not sure if the X-T4 displays a live iso when in auto 1/2/3 though because I’ve never used the camera. But, interesting if that could be a feature in the future. Subbed… have a great day 👍
Tracking sensitivity 0, speed -1. I prefer a slightly slower focus pull over focus that shifts with every movement. Lens was 33mm 1.4. One of my favorite!
Love the intro!
Love that I found another small channel! Best of luck and thanks for posting
Thanks for the sub, Eric! Us small channels have to stick together!

@@BurlapandLight Thanks a bunch! Enjoy shooting this week!
I love my X-H2S and I don't even care about video. But it's nice to know it's there when I might want to use it.

Thanks Luca! That’s a shame that the 18-120 doesn’t have an aperture ring. That’s my favorite feature on Fuji lenses.
Loved your honest review. Thank you!
My pleasure!
Great video mate. The iso doesn’t display in photo mode. Only when you lock focus. It’s something you got to adjust to.
Thanks! Good to know!

Hey man! Love the video. What lenses are you using with your setup?
Thanks! Studio setup is the 16mm 1.4. Also rock a range of Fuji lenses, but my fav are the 33 1.4 and the 56 1.2.
Curious what made you part with the S1H?
Hey David! Solely autofocus. Everything else about that camera was amazing. If Panasonic can improve that, I’d be back. 😉
Appreciate this!!! 🎉
Glad you like it!

What will be the cost of used xh2s or a7s3 in your locality..? Just curious...great work thogh..
Thanks! Not sure what used prices are for those two cameras, but I’m sure they still remain fairly close to retail price since they are still so new.
What's a good baseline AF-C settings that you usually start at? Specifically at 3:40 at the guitar scene? I'd love to know the lens as well!!

What camera/lens combo did you film this video with if you holding the fuuuuj?
XT4 (that I’ll be selling) with 16 mm 1.4.
Great into and review!
Thanks!
Hi, thank you for your video. I really want to know is there any annoying focus hunt or any problems?
Thanks Cem! Not that I’ve seen! Auto focus has been extremely reliable as long as it’s dialed in to the right settings for each environment.
