I love this! I’m a substitute teacher and I love to Sound words out with students & Play with them but I HATE teaching 😂I can’t believe this career exists. It’s perfect for me❣️
OMG! Glad to see you back again Regina!! You're such an inspiration to me as a fellow Christian and black SLP student (I'm in my third year of undergrad though)! I'll totally be tuning in to your continued journey!
Thank you so much for this!! truly means a lot to me. I also attend UCF as third year undergrad I graduate in a year. I've just been super nervous about applying (i graduate in a year). Your videos keep my spirits hopeful! :)
Thank you so much for posting this! It was really insightful. I’m looking into becoming a slpa and this definitely gave me a good impression of the job.
Hello found your Week in Life of an SLPA video on a whim. I'm highly considering taking a gap year as an slpa because I'm just not convinced from my time in undergrad that graduate school is the right financial decision for me yet. Love seeing a black woman in the field, I'm the only one in my class😢. Are you working as a SLPA fulltime or part-time while you take night classes?
Girl I feel you. Your life experiences as a black woman will serve you well when working with diverse populations. You are not alone in that regard. I work as an SLPA full time ( august - may) and summers off. Then I have 3-5 classes in summer and adult clients in clinic. I’ll make a video going into it further but hope that helps for now 😄
@@TG-cs6td Yayy! That’s amazing. Excited for your journey and yeah! Putting yourself through school alone is a lot. Hang in there, the reward is worth it! 🙌🏾
This was so helpful! I had to subscribe lol God bless you, Regina :) p.s. I am also a South FL ☀Jesus-loving SLP-A ^.^ I'm newly licensed and applying for Grad School @ Baylor online for their January cohort so I'll probably be glued to your channel haha
You're amazing! I'm starting SLP grad school this summer and I'm so excited, I love seeing more women of color in the field :)
