at close to 50 mins in, i keep hearing control this or deny that otherwise we become are sick or negative. isn't denial and control the problem to begin with? to deny and control these things would indeed lead us to more positive ground, but only to a point. don't you think a true understanding of our thoughts and actions with and without denial and control would likely cause humans to naturally act in a more positive manner? i find the failure in this comes from control, from others, from self. we deny and control others and glorify what others have over them or we create the illusion of it. this does not have to be material. although more often than not it tends to be, but not always. religions and cults tend to offer wisdom and/or salvation in exchange for materials or servitude. the powers that currently be have found the power in this type of control. happy and negative states are conditional to the perspective of the individual and are affected by it's awareness and understanding of it's outer influences. wisdom through experiential evidence... if the perspective of the individual is so warped in my perspective due to their different experiential evidence, who am i to say they are right or wrong? or myself? much less what they should or ought to do or be? about an hour and seven minutes in we are being told what we need to do to fix ourselves... this is a projection of perspective. imo it would be much wiser to present your or your groups opinions and perspectives as just that. show through experiential evidence what this has done for you and others of your group. while i do believe there lies wisdom in some of what she says, i find it all convoluted by a forced perspective of how things are and need to be. i see more elitism in the way it's presented, but that's my perspective.
Dear ego bruised, its not how things are, its how you think things are. Same goes for me. Things only are because you think them to be real, in the same way, things are not because you do not think them to be real. We don't see things as they are. We see them as we are. These teachings go in a way through very basic human values. Although the path these teachings relate to encompass a tremendous wealth of wisdom and loving kindness. It really a big thing that this young teacher is sharing. Nowadays we sit and see UA-cam clip and react on it while in truth we haven't scratched the surface. It's just my mind projecting just as you are just projection yours while in a much deeper truth we are looking at the reflection of the moon in water. If we are open in our minds we could see the unknowing of our opinions, obscured by the evening shadows, we are jumping to gun at the first dropping of fruit.
Pretty certain she knows what she is talking about ..
