Thanks for the vid and honesty Rene. You have enough knowledge of market structure it seams to me, so with a long only or short only strategy EA, could you just stop the EA when there is a change is the state of delivery? Maybe set an MT5 alert above and below HTF swings/pivots and when triggered, analyse the structure to see if you need to stop the EA until price returns to tradable structure.

Hey Rene, you are the man introduced me to the programing game. have made now couple good strategys wich are passing prop firms for me. what i have learned is we can control our robots conditions,strategys, open positions,tp,sl and most important we have full control of our drawdowns! we have no control over the markets so you need to implement drawdown controls on all of your robots,that will be a game changer. best of luck

Do you think something like dynamic grid with martingale maybe will help when the price is going to the sell side. Because it is a long strategy maybe if you double the distance of the grid every time when it goes to the opposite direction and martingale it. I don't know how to code it but it would be interesting to see if you can do it just for the test. Good psychology and confidence in your strats bro. It will go in profit soon you know it!
Morning , Rene, following you on this account , obvious thing to avoid such a drops in value is diversification. You just using 2 EA(one of them is pretty new and experimental.) Logical is to add another EA`s you have . For example, scalper and plenty more.

What Is the best approach code this numbers hard (in some array constant) or calculate them with "mid" operator?
I have followed a lot of your tutorials building EA's and one thing I figured out was to make separate EA's for up/down trends.

Can you make a bot to trade the US30?
The bot must take the VIX signals. I have noticed that the VIX has an inverse correlation with the US30. When the VIX goes up, the US30 goes down.
In addition to the VIX (volatility index), the bot must take signals from the "Fear & Greed" indicator, when the indicator is marking Greed, we make a sale but confirming that the VIX is high. When the indicator is marking Fear, we make a purchase but confirm that the VIX is low.

What is WFA? Is it "walk forward analysis"? I am no expert on this and have to interest in using walk forward tests. I do not understand the purpose of this.

Maybe you should make a video explaining important numbers in the backtest result that indicate how good the EAs are. That way we will understand what the backtest is saying and how good, safe, risky, .... the EAs are. Thank you brother.

It is different. For many of these strategies I do not even use a SL so the risk is unlimited kinda...
Thank you for being tranparent. Ive been using a draw down of 200 if reaches all trades (active or pending?will automatically closed.
Big Drawdowns using live is ok in your case with the strategy.
But big DD using prop firm is not advisable.
Brother, allow me to share and ask a favor from you hence youre an expert developer.
The strategy ia simple using previous daily high rejection of two bars or candles. If price (bar1 bear)touced the daily pevious low whether wick or body of candle followed by bull rejection (whether wick or body) ofbar as long as closes above previous low, ea will execute buy, SL set recent low and TP is open. With breakeven trail and partial half close when trail half of profit.
The opposite consitiona above is for sell. With SL and TP and BE and Partial close.

I think adding funds when the account is in drawdown is not a good idea. Right now the market recovered a little, but what if the market continues to drop week by week? There has been times when the market drops half a year in a straight row.
Personally I still think you should run each EA on a separate account to reduce the overall drawdown and make it easier on you mentally. If one your EAs is in a drawdown it isn't losing the profits of perhaps one of the EAs that is in profit. Less stress also which is one of the main reasons for using EAs. That's how I run my 2 different EAs.
Hm not sure if this really makes a difference. With the trade buddy i can analyze every strategy on its own so i do not really need multiple accounts. Also more accounts would slow my vps even more i think :D

From my experience every EA has drawdowns. But maybe I just use the wrong EAs ;)

I agree that the stock-market tends to always grow and reach new highs, but given the current political situations around the world, I fear the economy might face a recession.
Of course this can happen. But I hope that "time in the market" will beat "timing the market". We will see ;)

I tell you bro.. To create good EA in MQL5 is extremely difficult. MT4 is way to go for auto trading..
there is 0 difference between mt5 and mt4 when it comes to the capabilities of automated trading systems. if your ea doesnt work, its because it doesnt work. and it wont work when writing it on mt4 either.

Yes luckily the account recovered quickly. But the loss was still realized one week ago. So not really clickbait in my opinion ;)
