I need to get a better feel for the mechanic. Feels like while they're charging they don't move off, but they do if their actual attack is interrupted. Something like that. Couldn't really pay attention while laughing.

is there a pixel the villager can be stood on that that is in the exact middle? what direction does the villager get sent in when you order them to build? (I assume the devs check for that?)

Iirc starcraft 2 includes the middle into one of the directions. I'd expect the same behavior for aoe 2

The Villager's position is stored as a float, I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't an "exact" center achievable each time. It feels like the Vil tries to go to the "closest" edge, but I'd need to test to figure out the behavior.
