Just a little announcement for animal lovers!
In August 2017, the Governor of Puerto Rico contacted Elephant Refuge North America (ERNA) to build an elephant barn. and requested that it receive Mundi, a 34-year-old female African elephant. For the past 29 years Mundi has lived alone at the Puerto Rico Zoo.
ERNA’s South Georgia landscape and climate are tailor-made for elephants. As an elephant in the prime of her life, Mundi will flourish at this next generation of sanctuary. It will be the first time in her adult life that she will experience a habitat that allows her to live fully as an elephant. The same will be true for the elephants who follow her.
If anyone would like to donate for the barn, please see the link below! ;)

I'm not sure if I should be excited or dismayed that I've started watching paper marbling videos. This looks like something I could get addicted to if I give it a try.

What gorgeous papers you have made. I have purchased handmade marbled papers and these look just as good. My first marbling technique was almost 15 years ago with shaving cream. My last marbling technique was nail polish in water. A much smaller job, but it turned out nice for tags and ATC’s. I will have to look into this technique as it is much more useful. Thanks for sharing and I can’t wait to see your future projects using this technique.

I am still in the learning phase with this type of art, I did learn early on though that it's important to soak, paint your paper with Alum sulfate, this will grab the color and go POW...I have yet to experiment, but I will do that to my paper first! Thank you for your exploration, I am learning a ton!

Beautiful. And I like the monochromatic ones a lot. To avoid the bubbles, you should lay the paper down corner to corner and roll it on. There are some good youtube demonstrations that show how to lay the paper on the water. But these papers are so nice and could be used so many ways.

    Hi Nik
I couldn’t think of another character at the time to convey the “ A team “ commando type approach. It’s pretty ironic. Sylvester Stallone is Italian, your making italianesque marbled paper and books. And your tiny but performing heroic feats and you have a minimalistic, neat style. Love those papers. Recently I bought some small packs of silk paper and cotton rag paper. They would go beautifully with those papers.
