Just a little announcement for animal lovers!
In August 2017, the Governor of Puerto Rico contacted Elephant Refuge North America (ERNA) to build an elephant barn. and requested that it receive Mundi, a 34-year-old female African elephant. For the past 29 years Mundi has lived alone at the Puerto Rico Zoo.
ERNA’s South Georgia landscape and climate are tailor-made for elephants. As an elephant in the prime of her life, Mundi will flourish at this next generation of sanctuary. It will be the first time in her adult life that she will experience a habitat that allows her to live fully as an elephant. The same will be true for the elephants who follow her.
If anyone would like to donate for the barn, please see the link below! ;)

I'm not sure if I should be excited or dismayed that I've started watching paper marbling videos. This looks like something I could get addicted to if I give it a try.
I applaud your scientific mind and your marbled dyed papers. You are very brave! I’m sticking with the shaving cream idea you taught me! They look great
So crazy!!! You said Happy Memorial Day, and I’m watching this Memorial Day weekend in 2022!!! Pure kismet!!!
The best thing about art and craft is the experimenting. And it's ALL GOOD!!
Thank you Nik for sharing your work, your tries, even your fails... Thank you to be as brilliant as generous!
I love the third to the last! It evokes lying on your back in a forest, looking up through the trees. Beautiful.
I absolutely LOVE the two Spanish wave ones. The first one looks like sun rays coming from the top, down to the bottom left. Gorgeous!!!! If you don't want them, I do!!!!!! Keep up with the great work.
I LOVE these, bubbles, fails and all the colors, they are fantastic!!!
What gorgeous papers you have made. I have purchased handmade marbled papers and these look just as good. My first marbling technique was almost 15 years ago with shaving cream. My last marbling technique was nail polish in water. A much smaller job, but it turned out nice for tags and ATC’s. I will have to look into this technique as it is much more useful. Thanks for sharing and I can’t wait to see your future projects using this technique.
I don’t think there is one that I didn’t like! Super cool!
I agree with the others who commented: all of the papers are just beautiful, but I actually liked the grainy ones the best! Thanks for sharing, can't wait to try the technique.
I like the way you use the marbled paper on the inside of the journal, I think the results are quite good for a starter.
Nik I there are two you called a fail but I swear I saw two angels in them. Love all of your work.
after the first time I attempted paper marbling I used pieces of the ones that I didn't like to much to make "frankenpages"...and they really looked cool with other scraps....they are all beautiful Nik...so many possibilities ....thanks for sharing. Love and hugs from North Carolina
Wow- I even like the ones you don't like. I absolutely love the one on green paper. They are great!
Nik, your just to hard on yourself they are all beautifull, you put in a lot of hard work with your craft and you show us some really great ideas thank you.
Oh my my! Cannot wait to try this technique! Nik, you are a true inspiration. Thank you again for sharing with us.
Your so funny. I can see your soap swirling is coming in handy. Lol. I think they ALL turned out great. Even the ones your not crazy about are still great.
Absolutely gorgeous. I actually went on Google to see how it's made Fabulous video. Then I came upon yours. Bravo. Oh my goodness. It's all Fabulous. Me too. I learn better by doing. Love angel wings. Ohhh my word you certainly did become better. Oh goodness the yellow is great. Thanks for the video. Pinks and purples are my fav
Winner, winner Nik !! I think you have done great with your papers. Yes, definitely something I’ve always wanted to try and there you are ... showing us all how it’s done !!! You are definitely too picky cause you have some beautiful papers .. just be proud of yourself .
I don't think there's a creative thing you can't do once you put your mind to it!! Well done
I love that book and thank you for keeping it in tact, I wish we had a recycle place.
Wow! Even the fails are very pretty...except for the ones you could call Mud and Lava! lol You're so much fun!!!
These are so fabulous! I didn’t see any fails, they were all so interesting and pretty. I hope you cut up your fails for ATC backgrounds or some such. Maybe pass them on in happy mails? Because I promise we all love them. This makes me really want to try this! TFS! The black and gold really are gorgeous! Hugs, Kathy
Really pretty Nik
I like the little bits of black! tyfs
What fun (for me!) to be able to go back in time and catch wonder-ful videos of yours! Your favorites were awesome, my favorite is the fifth one you showed :)
Thank you so much for sharing with us ❤️
They are gorgeous Nik..even your fails were very cool.
Oh I love this play date, love this. I could see so many things in those papers. Guess I have been crafting too long. You make my day
Oh god, I knew I shouldn't of clicked on this vid...now I want to make all these beautiful papers....LOL! Great vid, absolutely love all you created...
TFS.. :)
wow, fantastic. The ones you think didn't come out nice I think are beautiful also. Oh, yes, I want to do it all also
Congratulations Nik! 20.001 suscriptores!! All marbled papers are so amazing. My favourite: green and gold. Thanks to you.
Awesome Nik! Can't say that I hate any of them. I'm envious of your work...nice job.
I have decided to follow you, because you're very cool. And all your prints turned out great, what you've say about them is true. People work hard to get all those effects. Well done! Love the fact you jump right. That's the heart of a true artist.
All of those are so cool Nik. No fails from where I am sitting TFS. Love your videos. x
Such a fun thing to do I'm sure. I look forward to doing this.
Even the ones you call fail are beautiful and can be used for something - cards, tags, bookmarks - whatever!
These are great! Looks like the process was lots of fun, too!
Great marbling work, will be trying again soon. Love your work.!
I just love elephants and any positive news is good for me. Long life Mundi in her habitat. Your marbled papers are so unique - angel wings (I can see swans in the paper, just gorgeous) The gold/green/black is just divine and the white/grey/gold marbled look is stunning. Can't wait to see them added in your journals. Thanks for sharing.
I guess I need new glasses because I saw gorgeous marbled papers! All beautiful!!! Fails, really? LOVE this video!!! Tfs
I am still in the learning phase with this type of art, I did learn early on though that it's important to soak, paint your paper with Alum sulfate, this will grab the color and go POW...I have yet to experiment, but I will do that to my paper first! Thank you for your exploration, I am learning a ton!
Beautiful paper. I am inspired! Thanks for sharing your art with us.
Thank you for sharing this again - I feel quite inspired by you. I have been taking paper marbling courses and it is nice to see your journey with it. I think it is wonderful that you have taken your interests & passions to the level of having a successful & sustainable business. Again, thank you for sharing.
All the papers are just awesome!!! Even the more grainy ones that you don't like so much! I believe it gives something more!!! TFS, dear Nik!!! Always love watching your videos!!! xxx
I think they are all beautiful!
LOVE your papers! I visited Peggy Skycraft's studio during an open house years ago... it just fed my love of marbling and other paper decorations! I bought some cut-offs - edges that were removed to make the dimensions she needed. I still am fascinated with them! You are having way too much fun! Keep on filming your adventures!!!
I love all your 'fails'!
Dammit Nik! There was a paper I saw just under one you were showing and then you scooped it up and didn't show it! It was black with green and it looked so cool and I was ready to see it next and... DENIED! LOL, I never get tired of watching/listening to you. Great job doing this basically self taught. I've been watching marbling videos for three days now and I am really anxious to try this too. Thanks, as always, for sharing and caring.
Hey Nik. Very cool marbled paper. You definitely had me rockin' out at the beginning. ☮️
WOW!!! Every single one of them is absolutely beautiful. I wish I could do this. I want to do this. I will do this some day. Love, love, love them all.
Even the fails as you call them are all pretty.
Gwan' with your baddass, mad-scientist self! Congrats on the milestone! Love your stuff!!
😅 thanks, Barbara =)
Not sure I would call any of these as failures, they all look great. Sue 💜
At first I thought it was a cooking demonstration gone wrong, but then I got into the head bangin' music and enjoyed the process.
😄 thanks, Mary!
I LOVE marbled paper!! TFS. Hi from Belgium!
Beautiful. And I like the monochromatic ones a lot. To avoid the bubbles, you should lay the paper down corner to corner and roll it on. There are some good youtube demonstrations that show how to lay the paper on the water. But these papers are so nice and could be used so many ways.
I love the angel wing patterns. The first light one was so dainty and delicate.
I love them all. I love most of your fails. Perhaps I don’t know enough about marbling to be a critic.
THESE PAPERS ARE LOVELY-I REALLY LIKE THE ANGEL ONES-HAVE A BLESSED DAY
These are gorgeous! And I’m a big fan of the ‘heavy metal marbling’! Your vids are great...tfs xx
You are always so entertaining and yet super informative! I am new to all of this and starting slowly. For now I am living vicariously through your experiments and new crafts and loving every minute. So many things to get too!!!!! You are such an inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing your work and amazing creativity. 😊
They are all fabulous Nik! I love them all!
Hi Nik
I couldn’t think of another character at the time to convey the “ A team “ commando type approach. It’s pretty ironic. Sylvester Stallone is Italian, your making italianesque marbled paper and books. And your tiny but performing heroic feats and you have a minimalistic, neat style. Love those papers. Recently I bought some small packs of silk paper and cotton rag paper. They would go beautifully with those papers.
Lovely! Super cool! Love Love Love!
Ok, I purchased this class a year ago, got supplies and am not brave enough to try it yet🤷🏼♀️I’ve seen some really fugly DIY marbled papers out there! LOL yours of course, look gorgeous 💁🏼♀️
I really like swirl-it-around-with-a-skewer.
This was so cool!!! Thank you so much for sharing!! Keep sharing everything you play with! I’m loving these videos. And of course your books and journal with me videos too!!
yAYYYY,, CONGRATS ON THE 20k !!!!!! These pages are the bomb !!!!! Gorgeous !!! TFS
I think these are all awesome, but I do understand about the grainy paint, not being desirable. You are always entertaining!
Nik, you're so funny...I thought I was the only one who had this problem-- I want to do this!...ooo what's that?... Look over here, I want to learn that! I fondly call it craft ADD.😂
As Nik said before, #TheStruggleIsReal. =) Crafty ADD is an awesome affliction.
It is awesome but very expensive when you're a stay at home mom and not making your own money! Sigh...good thing hubby thinks I'm amazing for having so many ideas...lol! I try to excuse myself and say 'You married a creative woman...' And he says 'Better this than spending money on stupid and silly things'. Haha good thing he doesn't find this type of stuff silly and stupid haha
well that and my real ADD...its a scary, dangerous combo! 😄
Nik the Booksmith I'm there with you on the real deal. It can be both a blessing and a curse; I love being able to hyperfocus on tasks but hate getting easily distracted and hiding things from myself that I had in-hand minutes before.
I wonder if all crafty people have some ADD. But then, maybe that's what makes it fun.
Just simply amazing
Love each and everything you do
Dry wall corner bead and roller picks for adjustable rakes and combs - genius!
Really informative and fun! Very pretty papers! I've done this before but did not know there are actual designs you can do. TFS, Nik!
Did I miss something? Where is the voice over? It’s not as informative as if she had narrated. How did she prepare the water? When did she add the alum … This is a fail as far as sharing a technique.
Nice! I plan to try something similar. I want to do Suminagashi with acrylic India inks on elephant hide paper. Probably will fail because all I know is the process but not the details behind it, but yeah. Your video gave me courage.
They were all awesome.... I loved the blue and pinky ones the best and the angel wing pattern was very cool xx
This is our Spring Bank Holiday weekend here in UK so we were off work here too and Half term break from school for the children for this week as well.
Yayyyy!! 😊😊😊
OMG these are GORGEOUS!
Beautiful papers, all of them, your awesome
I printed and hand bound a few books from project gutenberg. it would be really cool to marble my own paper to a color theme to fit the book. Im going to need to learn this skill now! I might finally tackle that very long Moby Dick file with endpapers marbled to look like the ocean.
Wow, I really like your works of art. Excellent job! Thanks for sharing it, greetings from Cancun, Mexico.
Super awesome pages Nik! You did a great job! 💜💜💜
Awesome!! I also liked the ones you said were muddy. Sure, when sat side-by-side with some of the other ones, they aren't as pretty but just looked at without comparison, they are really cool. I hope you use them all ... even the ones you said were grainy. They had great texture and could be used in a variety of ways!
They look great! I love how there are some you didn’t like - said they were a fail - but I look at it and think, ohh nice ❤️ 😆
Well done on the milestone 😀 love your random stuff xx
So, so pretty 😍 Even your so-called 'misses' are definitely hits!👌
As a person who does abstract painting ( Jackson Pollack style) I love all of them! Right up my alley! Now I need to do this lol
Love your set-up!
love, love yr stuff... please continue with more, xxjudith
I didn’t see any fails. All are special.
I liked all of them...no fails in my book 📚!
Artistaaa!!!parece magia asombroso!!quedaron los papeles preciosos!!parece muy divertido!!❤️
I LOVE every single one of these papers! Some of your fails are my extreme favorites! The more subtle coloredones are more pleasant on the eyes than the very bright ones. For this being your first session at hand marbling, you prove you're an excellent artist!!! TFS!!!
BTW, around 30 years ago, I tried marbling on liquid starch. Had many successes. Wondering if it would be cheaper doing it your way, or mine. I'll have to check it out, lol.
these are so beautiful! Even the grainy and muddy ones look really nice! Been watching a few videos on marble paper and I just absolutely love this technique and can't wait to make my own and let the paint decide what it wants to be :D
Ooooh. I like them ALL.
All of your papers are gorgeous! I need to try this, although I know I won't succeed nearly as well as you on your first try! Amazing! Iespecially love the black and gold ones at the end. They look like stone. They are STUNNING! Thank you so much for sharing. XO
A big CONGRATS on your 20K subbies!
Hi Nik, I love your videos! Yesterday I followed your tutorial on how to make a journal and mine came out great!
Oh Yoda teach us your ways PLEASE!!!! Seriously you make gorgeous marbled papers and I would love a class or 14🤣💕. Note to self....review the drop down notes before commenting lol🤪
Well. So slick Rambo. I had forgotten to comment earlier that I really like your choice of music for your videos. Should have said that much earlier. Those papers are all so fantastic. Definitely going to do that one sunny day. Great video. Thanks for the showing us how to do that. Could you do it again? So exciting to have all those papers for collage.
Thank you, Lisa! Rambo, eh? 😎😅
I love all of them but the Spanish Wave are my favorites.
These papers are beautiful.
The papers you describe as “just ok” at around 9:30 are freakin AWESOME! My faves so far. Reminds me of feathers
