  • Big thanks to FlintWood for the tunes!! Check him out here: / tracks
This week chasing the dream was absolutely awesome & extremely tiring haha.
We moved a bunch of equipment over to Blakely Island in the San Juans near Victoria Canada. The residence didn’t want heavy machinery running during the holiday, so we were blessed with the entire next week off for the 4th of July!
To kick it off was a North Demo day Saturday at noon. I got home that morning at around 1am. It was a bit of a mission to get packed and ready for the whole weekend while trying to get to Hood River to help set up the for the demo.
We made it though and good moods and stoke prevailed through the day! Was so cool to meet everyone who came out! Really enjoyed the gear talk, tips and tricks, and getting folks out the the right gear for them. Its pretty wild how much the right size board or a bar that you can easily reach can improve the quality of a session!
Kristina got to kite during the demo while I got to hang with baby Bri. While wrapping up the demo I asked Kristina to meet me at the marina and told her I’d kite down.
It was a good plan until the wind went to almost nothing right when we finished getting everything packed up. HAA
I waited for a while and it came back enough to get out there! I honestly had a really good session that day. Landing a super sloppy double half cab straight out the gate, later on landing what I think is the first double tantrum off the little kicker right before destroying my 🥜s trying to get the kite lower 😂
Sunday was thankfully, much less eventful. It was quite hot and the wind didn’t fill in until late in the afternoon which provided a wonderful beach day!
I spent a lot of time working on my rail hits as I really want to add style. Rami came out with the camera and it was solid motivation to keep pushing through a session I wasn’t feeling very successful in.
    Was a wonderful day
We went back home after that and took a couple days to rest and get the house in order
It was windy at Jones beach and my buddy Richy Came out for a super fun session.
I took out the 5’7” Charge and had a blast. Funny enough I thought that the camera wasn’t recording when I hit record after finishing the up-winder so all the footage is mostly me messing around while going upwind. Worked out well enough though :)
Wednesday was a bit hard for me mentally. Thankfully I saw that it was windy and got to go get a recharge. I tried going out on a twin tip but with the current coming in I couldn’t get upwind enough to do any tricks. Thats where the foil came in and saved the day!
Such a blessing having a tool that’ll allow you to get a session in the lightest winds!
Thursday was the 4th and I was happy to mow the lawn and get the basement cleaned up 😂
Friday was set to be an epic day of filming. Great wind, amazing light out, and fresh off of a rest day! Lets go! 3 tricks in or something and my best camera falls out of its case!! I lost it for 2 whole days!
We spent Saturday happily hanging at the beach kiting and enjoying life without a camera in mind. Really nice to have the whole summer crew at the beach.
Gato was playing some new tunes and talking about how sick the setup at this little festival close by was. While talking Shaun offered me free tickets to the last night! It was a super nice offer but with Brisa we kinda have to plans things with a baby sitter.
Funny enough one of Kristinas best friends Becca was sitting there when Shaun offered me the tickets. With a baby sitter locked in it was time to convince Kristina to go to a festival for the first time since having the baby!
She really wasn’t feeling it but after Owen provided us with an awesome sleep setup and Becca assured her Brisa would be safe…. We Were On!!
Followed a cat into the night and discover a love of vibrations buried behind reservations of what could, might, and should be…
Picked up the baby at 9:30am like responsible adults, went to Bette’s Place for breakfast and a high cinnamon roll! It was another super hot day at the beach.
The water level was low and the winds was no where. With the glassy water I decided to go look for my camera. It was a long shot but I brought a beer and my patience. After over half an hour I was about to give up. Literally on the last comb of the area before giving up when I brushed something with my foot. In incredulous disbelief I dove down to grab… Yesss!!! My Camera!!! So Stoked! I couldn’t believe it!! Just at the wind was staring to pick up too!!
With the camera drying I got a micro sd in, got my gear ready and got a couple good clips before heading to work that night!
So much fun with how spontaiand
