Ok… I gave this a try. How in the heck do you get the curd out of the silicone mold?! I froze it for 2 days and it is not budging. Now just waiting for it to thaw so I can just spread it over the cake. I know it’ll still be delish but def not as pretty 😆
We chill it until set. Like about some hours or overnight. I am kind of worried that yours may be frozen🥲We push it out like gradually from the edge and since it is set so once the edge is off, the whole curd will be out line by line. This whole process needs patience. You may have to wait for it to thaw a little bit and its texture will be like set instead of ice (but not too much cause it may melt). Hope this could help.
You can use a round cake mold instead, wrap its bottom with plastic wrap, pour the lemon curd in, and store in the fridge until set. Then you will get a flat round lemon curd.
You can change the heavy cream with milk when making the batter. For the cream filling, heavy cream is my first choice, but you can replace it with other fillings you like.
