It's a rainy weekend night and you're awake on your bed playing Tomodachi Life
Ah the good all days.. Waking up in the morning finally being able to play tomodachi life on a nice and summer day, Without any distractions. Wish I could relive those days.
I genuinely feel like crying, I know this is strange but I feel the need to rant, I loved this game and nintendogs so much, even though I started both really late. The music is just so memorable and soft, and brings back so many feelings and so much joy, I remember just having fun, and not even thinking about anything bad, just playing with my miis, and going out to save the world in miitopia, now I can't even listen to some soundtracks or else I'll just feel like crying even though I have a feeling of relaxation or comfort, I don't understand?? I just wanna see my pets again in nintendogs, feed them, play with them, and have fun with my family in tomodachi life. Even if alot are just game characters or cartoon characters. I wanna feel this joy again, even if it's just for one time, seeing the goofy nature, and new hats and clothes for the first time. I wanna feel the excitement of seeing a new request and hearing the music and feeling so good, not much has changed, but I just wanna feel that again, my life isn't bad, nor am I going through depression, I just wanna feel the first look at the games, I'm sorry, isabelle, I don't feed you as much as I did, and I'm sorry islanders, I love you all, I wanna dig up my 3ds tomorrow and see my pets faces again, to have them go on a walk to play, shower, even if its just pixels, it means so much for me. Even just hearing animal crossing ost now makes me sad, especially new leafs opening, I love new leaf, I was so confused on how to play, but I got ahold of it, im sorry for this lengthy comment, thanks for reading.
It's okay to need to cry and let out your feelings! There is nothing to be sorry for and you're not strange for reminiscing, music can bring up memories and I'm honored this mix could touch your heart- not to take credit for the beautiful music in the tomodachi games though! Every track is so charming in its own way, indeed... it makes me smile others can share that feeling! Feelings and memories can be hard to understand. Sometimes, crying is cathartic and memories can be bittersweet, not just bad! I hope you can find other games that make you feel this way, you deserve them. Remember every day you are making new memories. I'm glad you could have so many nice experiences with the game worlds, and that they could be experienced in ours! I've never played Tomadachi life. No one in my family ever had it. I've never watched a playthrough, never seen the game's content. But...its music. 90% of these tracks in the playlist are new to me, yet I already want to hear them again.
We've had a Wii for as long as I can remember, but I never got serious with it until 2019. Now that I've played nsmbw, I was introduced to this whole world of Nintendo music, including other Mario games, Zelda, Pokemon, Kirby, animal crossing, and of course, Tomadachi life. I now wish I had childhood nostalgia for something Nintendo related--anything. But I guess...it's never too late to start now.
Thank you for making this. It will stay in my playlist. (And hopefully Nintendo does not take it down bc they've been doing that recently.)

Woah, this is a super unique comment! I've never actually gotten one like this before and I'm so happy someone who's not a tomodachi life fan can enjoy this mix too!! Tomodachi life- not to assume you don't know!- is a really surreal simulator game where you populate an island with miis of your friends, family, celebrities, or anybody! The events that take place in it feel really dreamlike to me, so the strangely beautiful and dreamy ost struck a chord with me. I am so glad you enjoy them too, I feel so happy if I could help introduce you!
Nsmbw is such a fantastic game, and I totally get not using a console! But I'm glad you could get more into it and find things you like... I understand wishing you had started sooner, but you have a really fantastic outlook! Future you will be grateful you played the games you did now! I've had many different islands in tomodachi life over the years all with so many different memories in all of them. This playlist just kinda sends me back to the days of trading cool items with my sister and excitedly adding my first friend of my 6th grade year to my game when I got home after school. To the island where my parents mii's had a son then got divorced just days after he grew up fully, the island where my friend managed to marry her favorite fictional character at the time, the island where I made all of my friends in the 11th grade recreate themselves, most of them using the camera feature for it and all of us laughing at the miis that came out.
This game just holds a special place in my heart for all the memories I made with it. No matter how often I reset, each version of little island always provided me with so many weird and fun memories.
Man I miss this game, seeing what they did with Miitopia and how successful it was, I hope they bring Tomodachi Life to the switch one day, maybe include stuff from Tomodachi Collection.

Just started playing Tomodachi Life this year and it is so much fun. I'm sad I didn't play it when it first came out, but better late than never. If you ever have a chance to play Tomodachi Life, do it. It's so goofy, wonderful, and charming.

Even though I never owned this game and still don't I've always wanted it. When I was around 7 DanTDM made a series on this game that I loved then at around 10 I watched yub play this game this was infact the first series I'd ever watched by yub . Then I remember going back from school at 12 really tired and relaxing whilst poofesure screams at his miis . Words cannot describe my love for this game . Hopefully one day I'll have it .

God same- I love the Switch but it really lost it’s charm compared to the 3Ds and Wii.
Also I’m sure that realistically TL2/TL on the Switch should be possible- if Miitopia is already on then why not TL? Miitopia has a lot of assets that they can reuse anyways- so I hope that the game gets onto the Switch soonz

dude i used to play tomodachi life all the time before my 3ds broke down due to the overused battery, i miss the vibes and islanders i made on my ds, and there'll never be anything like playing this game for the first time again

After a lot of consideration (and rethinking as I failed to do so 2 years ago) I ended up hacking my 2Ds to get a few games… one of them being Tomodachi Life. Firstly, yes I failed the first time I hacked into my own 2Ds- but this time I used my sister’s (with her permission, of course) and I will say that this time feels a lot easier than when I did it 2 years ago.
Secondly, I did own a physical copy of TL, but that was when I was way younger and not responsible of taking care of anything (lost my copy of ACNL 3 times… thankfully I still have the 3rd one with me to today)
So, I did the hacking stuff, got TL and even added in a few cheats to give my Mii’s some new outfits. In my opinion, I don’t really view me cheating in the game as spoiling the purpose of TL’s gameplay- which technically if it’s your first time playing the game then you should 100% play how it’s intended so you can at least experience that, and since I did experience that when I was younger I just chose to unlock everything besides the levels and friendship status’ since I like that part of the game.
I did however play the game without cheats for a moment and… it’s so nostalgic. I got the pop and musical genre songs and put a whole group of me and my irl friends and- it reminds me soo much of how I did just that with my primary school friends. It’s hard to believe I’m in high school, infact, I’m in my 4th year.
I used to sneak my 2Ds into school and honestly animal crossing had a bigger impact on me compared to TL, but I love both games- they were both my childhood.
This comment is absolutely everywhere, not sure where I was going with it but hey- at least it’s TL related.

so yea tomodachi life music is nice , but something abt the slowed soundtrack just makes it more nostalgic. i remember getting this game for christmas in 2014 and that was such a life changer then. i never stopped playing it ever since. just the music is so nostalgic idek what to do when i hear it. cry? feel comfort? maybe both. i will never forget when i got my first 2ds and loaded this game up. it was such a fun experience. i am so hyperfixated on this game (and still am) i always watched youtubers play playthroughs of it bc i just couldn't get enough of it. it was just so fun and there was so much to do. i told everyone abt this game in the past and how much i love it. ALSO CAN WE TALK ABT THE SEASONS TOO?? like christmas for example. the music is just . ???? it's so good idk how to put it into words. just something about it. and when you enter the clothing store. it's just. holy. wow. the music PLUS the seasonal outfits. I LOVE THOSE SO MUCH. also the nighttime music is just so? crisp ?? LMAO idk but the night music and christmas music are definitely my favorites to this day. i just love this game with my whole heart and it's probably going to be one of my favorites for a very very long time .

Iv had this idea of a tomodachi life comedy series for a while now
Id call it life on the island
Basically it would show the day to Day life of some miis (even when the game is turned off) and there would be new locations that aren’t in the real game lion Dentists and schools and hospitals and stuff
And it would also show the day to day life of miis in the apartment like them playing games and getting gifts just like in the Real game
And it would be pg 13-16 (with swears and stuff) and there would be cut a way gags and stuff

i remember coming home from school one day and my dad had got me a new game, tomodachi life... i had played the demo and i loved it- i spent most of my time for the next few years playing it... in september 2022, i deleted my island data and i regret it so bad... my hours spent wasted only to just reset again?! but i dont think all hope is lost- my micro sd card is full and i only got the notification when restarting tomodachi life- is my data still on there? i would guess not but my slightest bit of hope is still there...
edit: im having to buy an adapter for my ds, as i cant play streetpass [which i have a chance of getting some of my explorers from my old island to visit] so in the meantime, im just playing tomodachi life on citra- bowser and peach are dating [after like 5 minutes of starting the game-]

I wanted to look for it independently because I genuinely love the song, but after searching for it I realized it’s not Music Box Mii News. The actual name of that song name is “Being In A Relationship”, likely Collection’s equivalent to Proposal Success considering its name and the fact that it’s second last in the OST before the credits

I'm sure any mix you'd make would be amazing! But here are a few tips:
I use videoleap, it's a great app for things like this but I'm not sure how long it lets you make videos anymore...
Turning down the treble of a song can bring out the low end and give it that "muffled" sound, which can be relaxing
Slightly slowing down the song can also put listeners in a drowsy mood
And finally, adding a lot of fading at the beginning and end can make the songs transition smoothly!

Sure thing! To use other instruments, I usually go with the piano preset and select another sound from there- by tapping the keys icon you can get to them. Thanks for my mix I feel that the drum was a bit loud (it kinda drowned out your mix which I didn’t want) anyways I might do it again but add other instruments Like a synth or a bass or a guitar (roots rock or hard rock)
The drums also drowned out the sfx for the rain which I didn’t want
Overall I think my cover was crap
