I wonder what legal loopholes they had to jump through to get this released, considering how much they needed just to have the character exist in the movie. Edit: and now I see what they did. Make the Ferrari not technically a Ferrari.
He's smaller than TR Quake in alt-mode? Wow, what a tiny boy! I like the look of this guy, and the masterpiece-like transformation is really cool. If I were still collecting modern Transformers I'd buy this for sure. I may even be tempted to custom paint him to look like a movie version of Dead End (the G1 stunticon); he'd just need a yellow stripe along the length of the car, and black and gold paint on the head.
Fun fact: this particular version of dino isn't actually movie accurate at all, rather, it's video game accurate. That's where they got the vehicle mode. And if you also realized, the paint scheme isn't also movie accurate (silver midriff instead of all red).
4:21 "Sorry to interrupt the music" When you said that, I thought sure you had forgotten to add music. All I heard was the sounds of the plastic. Had to turn my volume way up before I was able to hear music.
OCD analysis: Thumbnail contains solid black lines that's like neat ink blots on the composition. Suggestion: convey motion with a motion blur effect, or simply do not paint lines like Microsoft. The Autobot symbol in the Balt ring is so much a bit offset. 0:23 White cropping artifacts visible as white dust on a black background. Very fancy and smooth speech bubble for a fancy hair of a fancy cat.
The alt-mode is kind of a shame, tbh. I really think Hasbro raised the bar on "fake cars that almost look like their real counterparts" with the ROTF Sideways figure in 2009. Unfortunately, that's a bar they haven't been able to reach since then.
Honestly, the only reason I can remember him is because of the game (Which called him Mirage for some reason? I don't mind since he could do the invisible thing, but you'd think he'd go by the movie name). But if it wasn't for the game, this one wouldn't be on my radar.
Funny thing is, his Real and original Name was Mirage, but they change it only because something to do with Ferrari want Mirage's name to be the son of the Ferrari company? Or something else.
Nice looking figure. Also it’s sad how Dino couldn’t appear in more transformers movies/tv shows due to his voice actor passed away. Also I remember seeing Dino more in the DOTM film like in the final battle, but it’s been awhile since I’ve seen that movie. And from what I’ve heard, the reason why Dino had blades in the movie, was because the Ferrari company didn’t want him having blasters. So Michael Bay had to accommodate that to use a Ferrari car in the movie.

The highway scene is the part of the movie I remember the most

As an Italian-Mexican mix short and stocky is a pretty good description for my family as well.
Spaghetti with salsa as sauce.
Blame Ferrari for Dino not being an actual Ferrari. They are extremely stingy with licencing. Not even Hot Wheels has the licence any more.
Wow the highway scene in DOTM is probably the best scene of all the movies.
I got him yesterday along with cybertron bumblebee. I dig him a lot. It's been a fee months since anything new has come out of this line.
Were do you get this figure I’ve been looking for it everywhere
Getting major Generations and Earthrise Arcee vibes from how the arms and legs fit in under the car shell
The rare Baltmatrix dooty doo!

This guy is the pruneface of Transformers.
OMG you're so right.
You know what's funny I was trying to get the hair off of my screen I thought one of my dogs hairs wound up on it LOL
It’s Studio Series 71. Studio Series 72 is Bumblebee movie Starscream

I really like the collar and how it flares up. Reminds me of Kamen Rider scarfs.
I didn't hear the music so when Balt said "sorry to interrupt the music" I thought he was telling me to stop playing guitar...I can multitask...kinda

I think even 5 minutes of screen time is pushing it.

SS-72 Dino's (not Ferrari) alt-mode is based on his unlicensed sportscar from the DotM video game!!
No it’s not
Sadly, Dino had less than 5 minutes of screentime!! (about 4 minutes total)
I think Hasbro couldn't get the license for the Ferrari image so they had to alter the vehicle mode a bit. Still a nice figure though.
there is a st5orage for his weapon, you need to untab the rear bumper and use the hole for the bumper and the the tab on the weapons, it fit perfectly
Funny thing is, his Real and original Name was Mirage, but they change it only because something to do with Ferrari want Mirage's name to be the son of the Ferrari company? Or something else.
Honestly I kind of hate that car mode the panel lines and color difference is so jarring for some reason.
I think it's the best mirage figure in years
@@MewtwoPrime84 I love the robot mode just the panels and colors hurt me.
I'm glad to see the Thew doo-de-doo has started to catch on

Finally got my transformers studio series dino figure hes so awesome I am so happy
Can't believe you got this guy early!
Seen him at 3 Targets this week.
I saw him and got him at target yesterday
Wow
There out since yesterday
Dino is literally live action mirage
And the car mode is generic on purpose

Are the ports on his arms Weaponizer compatible?
Seriously, what is it with Hasbro and not getting the matching color? First Sunstreaker and now this?
Hell of a transformation, but it makes for a good-enough fauxrrari.
Wished you had compared Dino with Stinger since they are both red Transformers with a sport car alt!
05:32
Wait that was a character and not one of the KS bots.
or his car mode is like a GTA "generic car model" but took inspiration from the real thing without any legal issues.

with a name like *"Dino"* I kinda thought he was a dinobot. until I saw the thumbnail, which really confused me for a second.
