If they were to make Hatchet, it would require a *drastic* remold and redesign. After all, he's basically the Dreads' hunting dog, as shown in the movies......Then again, this is Hasbro we're talking about.....They'd probably just take the Crowbar/Crankcase mold or the Berserker mold, do a little recoloring and slap Hatchet's name on the package and call it good!

Not really. A lot of die-cast car makers have Ferraris on their lineups, like Maisto, Burago, and even our very own TakaraTomy (who makes Tomica). It is certainly a licensing issue, but Mattel is not the one to be blamed methinks.

I think so because It's weird that Hasbro can get licenses from every car maker in the world except from Ferrari.

Given the frankly insane limitations Ferrari had even just for the onscreen appearance, I’m positive it was them who were responsible for the issues.

Fake parts, articulation that a war for cybertron figure could obliterate, and being a shell former. Like what you like but I am sticking with my war for cybertron figures.
I think the headlights and back wheels on his arms and legs kinda look a little big but i quite like it, it makes him look like a samurai with big armor pieces yet still agile
Dino would be more of a panel former (origami), not a shell former. if he were a shell former, you would more or less be able separate his bot and alt mode and have them both still work on their own. with dino, the alt mode parts are very necessary structure parts to have a working cohesive robot toy.

This figure looks way better than in the pictures and I hope the rumors that Que and Jolt will be coming soon which means we'll only need the twins to complete the full Autobot team from the first 3 movies.

Wow this looks amazing. This is what I expect from the studio series line. If I’m being honest though, a character that was in the movie for a total of about 5 minutes should not be done better than mainline characters. It’s kind of disappointing that this isn’t the standard for the studio series line as I think that’s what studio series should be. Love the look of this figure however I wish the bar was set this high for all studio series figures.
I know that Alien Attack came out with their "FIRAGE" figure, and that was great and all but for some unexplained reason, I just feel more joy having this figure on the market. I mean, Alien Attack's product is 1:1 with the on-screen CG model but like... this official release just feels right.

Apparently Ferrari's refusal to license a toy of Dino stems from their partnership with Mattel since Mattel and Hasbro are competitors. Ferrari would risk losing a large alliance with Mattel if they were to license a toy by Hasbro. Simply put, a single toy is not worth risking the loss of Mattel as Ferrari's ally because Hot Wheels sell millions and there are constantly new Hot Wheels toys based on Ferraris, whether they be recolors or new molds. Hot Wheels and Matchbox hold a guarantee of profit even if one Ferrari is a flop. If Ferrari goes to Hasbro and Dino doesn't sell, Ferrari loses Mattel as a source and therefore loses money overall because Dino is the only Ferrari in the live action series.
Dino is one of my favourite dtom characters and I am thrilled the released a dino figure, dtom was honestly my most favourite movie out of all of them❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yessss finally a proper studio series new release! This does look like a really nice deluxe. My only issue is the headlights on the shoulders, since you can see them at the same time as the faux chest, but not a big deal on a deluxe figure. I really hope this figure comes out sooner rather than later since waiting til the summer for this figure is gonna be excruciating!

Mattel lost the license in 2014 and Burago, an Italian die-cast manufacturer, now have the license. I don't know why Bay was allowed to make Dino a Ferrari if it was known they wouldn't be able to make toys of the 458. Even Bay acknowledged it was a nightmare working with Ferrari! Should've opted for a Lamborghini or maybe a Maserati.
i hope dna designs makes an upgrade kit that can cover up the sides of the torso since it looks strange with the front like that. i hope it also includes his hooks if we get an upgrade kit for em

This is my favorite figure from this wave! His robot mode is awesome and vehicle may not be a 100% accurate but still is really great!

There's a third party version of Dino that has accurate blades plus the hooks he uses when he fights the dreads
