Very good tips. What I do to make sure I'm the correct distance from the ball is set the club on the ground behind the ball, then move my body away accordingly.
I think you have some great teaching points, have changed my game ,we will see what happens this year I always become way more inconsistent when I bend my left arm, the only thing I see the all the pros do is keep the left arm straight
This pretty much mirrors my address process with exception that I place the club head before spacing my feet. Any thoughts as to whether that will get me the same results or not?
What about allowing the arms to 'hang'. I saw a video where the guy claims that you should stand farther away to allow hips to clear. He states that most golfers can not clear their hips so allowing arms to hang is no good. I am thinking that not clearing the hips means hitting shots to the right?
Mr. Kolb, With all due respect, I'm really not a big fan of doing anything PERFECT. It simply doesn't exist! Striving or promoting perfection to me is counter productive. Reaching for excellence, to pursue your optimum effort is more realistic. Nobody has ever done anything perfectly. A perfect golf score would 18! So it's a matter of semantics, right? I say, Wow, that was an excellent shot! I try to avoid saying, That was perfect! I think that's a much more honest approach.

Jon, appreciate the post. “Perfect” is relative to the individual and their style. The goal is to find YOUR best way.
