Daniel Sir, you Rock! I have seen you not only grow your channel, but continue to help and support so many others with their UA-cams ! We have an AMAZING Community! Thank you!!!
You just keep getting better and better. Getting really tired of some of the other channels just hawking tools and not showing me new ideas for MAKING SOMETHING!
@@David-fy3in happy to be building brother , this is my true passion and I’ll never turn to tool reviews , I mean maybe one vid if something pops up but yeah these other guys are just non stop tool reviews 🤦🏻♂️
What’s up , Bearded! Thanks for joining my live yesterday! I just subscribed to you. I honestly thought I was already subscribed to but I guess not. I’ll definitely be supporting the channel.
Not a bad way, I would make a few suggestions as add a power drill to the top to spin the block of wood on the blade as you raise it. And possibly apply a wax paper to the base for less friction...
@@jeffceriotti no worries, that's what community is for it's actually a wild thing to get your head around (upside down and from the inside) until you've done it a first time, once you're comfortable with that sort of cut, there's all sorts of things you can do with a table saw/blade, cove moulding for instance
@CaptainChaos-x5p it really is fascinating. I am not a wood turner nor do I own a lathe yet. But this is a great way to make bowls. As a noob, it is cool to come across these ideas. Thanks again for the help!!
Interesting way of doing it. Hopefully safe enough for all. No disrespect to you or anyone that feels safe using it, I just don’t. Again. It’s actually a really great take of other designs. I would just want it to be a bit more rigid than that. I would think bearing but I haven’t played well with them either as I tried to make another jig with them and just don’t know what was wrong. Different strokes for diff folks.
Lathe itself has its own hazards as everything else! Safety is always stressed here! It’s always great to see other options should some not have specialized tools and equipment.
Aye thanks brother! I guess we'll have to try to make it with 0 jigs now🤣
@@FishOverChicksWoodworking hahaha 😂
What's crazy is that Fish showed up for me to watch, and as soon as I was done...bamm, this one popped up in my feed. Way to tag team the algorithm!!!
@@kevinwilson5363same! Lol
I watched Fish Over Chicks the other day making their bowl. Both are great !!
same
Great project! My daughter already wants some. Lol
I appreciate how you give shout-outs to other woodworkers. Keep em coming
Hey hey brother will do
I’ve seen several people make bowls this way, but I do believe I like yours the best. I like that you kept it square
😊
Great video and loved the shout out… I like that it is two different takes on a similar project. Thanks for sharing, stay warm and safe!

Hey Dan what a cool little gig you come up with sure I will try it out. Cheers Tim
Watching! Thanks for making this video available for all!
This is Badass Brother!!
That was awesome! I will try this! Thanks!
Hey my pleasure
This stopped me in my track this morning. Appreciate you sharing!
Heck yeah brother . My pleasure thanks for tuning in and commenting
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks Anytime man! I'm trying to learn as much as possible then go try it safely! Keep up the good work!

That's cool as heck, thinking outside the box to make a circle haha, awesome lol!
Fun jig Daniel. Thanks for sharing
Loved the video as always, Daniel. I can't wait to get my workshop done and get making some sawdust... should be ready by May 2025...
Great video 😊
I was watching this video and you came on live. Nice jig, I'm going to try it sometime soon thanks!
Yes sir
I watched Fish over Chicks bowl vidio just yesterday. I wonder how much you could charge for your Dog feeding station with custom wooden bowls ?
Ooooh ya know what that’s such a great idea
Looking good. Fine project
Something I have always wanted to try.
Hey hey
Nifty idea BVW! Seems like those would fetch a decent price.
I've made hundreds of bowls. I never thought about doing it that way. I guess you're never too old to learn something.
Indeed brother
Sometimes there is a good reason not to have thought about doing it this way.
Skul.. another great video.
I saw this on their channel yesterday and definitely want to try it out.
Well technically you didn’t see this one , you saw theirs . 😊
This reminds me of cutting coves on the table saw
Indeed 🫡

Great tips thanks
Man that is cooler than 2 bags of ice😊😊. I love it.
Hahaha
I'm liking that jig Viking.
I'm going to have to try this
Fantastic!
Jigs look differnt than mine 😂😂 good video brother
Cool jig!
Very cool brother! ❤
I like this one 🙂Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure bro 😎
😮 Nice ❤
Nice
Goes to show that you should never feel as if you can't complete a project based on what tools you don't have. Where there's a will, there's a way!
100% Factual statement
Now something else I'll have to try 🤣
Love it!! But could it be made deeper or is the blade too small?
No I could’ve went a bit deeper. 😊
I like it square. Might be nice to cut straight across the corners an inch in for an octagon.
🤔 heck ya
Sorry haven't been on, helping out with my grandchildren. Some of them are sick , strep and flu
HA! I just watched his video on this
Pardon my thickness. But can you please explain why this needs to be a dado blade and not the standard blade? Trying to learn. Thanks.
explained at 3:48, a smaller blade also potentially means a deeper/less shallow bowl
@CaptainChaosdevotee Sorry I missed it the first time. Thanks
Sorry should’ve went to more depth. Yes captain chaos hit the nail on the head ,

Nothing safe about this at all, just get a lathe, lol.
Don’t make a claim with out explaining why so I can rebut . Thanks pal.
