And because it's such a beautiful area for photos, it's obvious a lot of us would put it on our list for spots to visit. So I'm really thankful you shared your full experience with that attitude being given to you, so others know what to expect should they choose to go there. As a cellist we don't have this. I hypothesis this is because to move half way along the cello we rest our hands on top and slide along the string that way. Interesting.

It's unfortunate that you had to experience someone like that and I'm glad it didn't escalate. Previously, I've experienced similar events with restaurant owners, business associates and total strangers in public. While it wasn't super common, it was noticeable when it happened and it really gave me perspective on life. I think you did the right thing in maintaining your professionalism and moving on with your day, even if I know deep down, you wanted to punch him so hard in the face that he flew into the sky like team rocket.

I still think those camper vans are super neat! I'm glad you're back to shooting with Kiki! It looks like i was super fun to shoot at the Tori Gate, and it's really nice that you got Mt. Fuji in the background! The zoom out of the site made me laugh because of how bad in front of the Tori looks compared to the view behind it 🤣
The guy who rented the space to you is officially a jerk. I wouldn't go there knowing how upset he was at you. And you DID use it for Shamisen! Kiki was playing Shamisen! He's just mad that a foreigner was doing the shoot. And honestly? He should be happy that Shamisen is being promoted and shown to the world. That's how you keep traditions going, but sharing them, and making them accessable to people so that they can be enjoyed and continued in the future.

I did not expect something like this to happen in Japan. Thank you for the info even if it is slightly negative. It’s still helpful information about another country and place. Thank you for sharing.
