Also for people that don't know (it works on mine) if you hold the key remote lock button it puts the windows up and if you hold the unlock button it puts the windows down.
Thanks for this video. Do you know how to get the sliding doors to fully open? My right door fully opens but the left door half opens. Is there a setting or button? 👍🏽
Yes. There is a button on the dashboard to the right of the steering wheel normally. You will see it there. I think there is a video on the alphard dashboard in this channel.
The lap belts are only used when the seats are reversed, ie, pointing to the rear of the vehicle. In this condition, having lap belts is far safer than seating pointing forwards with standard belts. This is because there is no forward body inertia in the event of a (more usual) front collision, that being taken up by the seat backs. I always suggest that my grandchildren travel with the seats facing backwards, its safer!
@@Cuttothechase its a shame really because we have just been for a test drive in a 2009 with lounge middle seats and was hoping for the best of both worlds. The head unit is our biggest concern as we were told by the seller that after market ones dont seem to last long???
@merlin1346 the biggest concern you should have is buying a genuine Toyota. Avoid any vehicle that fails the checks that in talk about in the other videos. You can put in a pioneer head unit etc from the Uk.
Do you still have the vehicle? I'd be interested to know where the child seat tethering hook is that you mentioned. My 2012 model has Isofix but I couldn't find a tethering hook even though the manual mentions one! Had to get a mechanic to drill into the floor :(

The door will half open if it believes the window is not closed or if it believes the petrol cap is open. I would investigate those areas.
@@Cuttothechase thank you so much. You're a legend 🙏🏽

Do you know if there’s a way to turn off the powered sliding doors, so they are manually operated only, like on a VW Transporter?
Yes. There is a button on the dashboard to the right of the steering wheel normally. You will see it there.

Lap belts in the middle rows work when facing forward in the series 10 preface lift
@@Cuttothechase why would you not need chest belts facing forward?
@Channel7331 safer. Later models have 3 full belts .
Has anyone had any luck finding seat covers that fit the Alphard (2008 pre-facelift)? 4 kids don't mix well with cream velour seating 😀
The seats clean up really well. See my video on the bissel
Interesting stuff, well done.
Thank you so much Stewart. You would be surprised as to how many people who own the vehicles don't realise these "secrets".
Conference seating was dropped in 2008 onwards.
Correct . It is only available prefacelift. It’s a great option.

Thank you for that. I had no idea about the child seat fixing, so now its safe for our Grandchild. 👍👍👍
That is wonderful news. That has made my day. Subscribe to this channel for more alphard stuff.

I don't know what you mean by "isofix"?
Isofix is a system thst secures child seats to cars much more securely than seat belts.
@@Cuttothechase thanks

Have a look for it on the back if the seat under a plastic panel.it may be concealed.
If you press and hold the room light button in the front, itll adjust the brightness level
Doesn’t seem to work with mine but evidently does with others. Thanks for sharing this tip.
That's strange it doesn't work with yours
It can probably be programmed.
Those chips look delicious
