- In the video I am in St Lucia at Sugar Beach. Sugar Beach is between the majestic Pitons. I think most locals would say this is the most beautiful area of the island. I had my lunch there at the resort called Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort.

Unbelievable UA-cam says this video is not suitable for all audiences. I'm guessing the words between the Pitons was considered adult. I will need to delete this video and upload again, and not use the dirty word Pitons or something. I'm not sure why UA-cam has a problem with this video.

Such a beautiful beach. The name just bring so much character to such a stunning place. One of the reasons I don't like resorts is because they tend to privatize beaches like this one and locals no longer have access to something that was once open and free to them.
Barbados has all public beaches. Sandals tried to make them cave, but it didn't work.
from what I´ve read, all beaches on St Lucia are open to the public. I guess he meant he couldn´t walk through the actual resort accommodation while filming.
Beautiful beach and the whole country is just as beautiful as its people. I traveled there three times in the 90's. St.Lucia is one of the truly gems of the islands.
Shame the beautiful people don't have access to the beautiful beach.

I remember in 2016 on my wedding day in st. lucia we took a water taxi to sugar beach than snorkeled there with my whole family its wonderful there!

Use to be the jalousie plantation resort once run by premier resorts owned by an Iranian it has changed ownership was once Hilton remembered the days I worked there lots has changed its still tranquity wrapped in blue
The view looks great there with Piton. Nice as it is, Anse beach on Grenada is the beach to go to for the day with its miles long stretch of sand and sand.

Very nice video! Richard, I do have a question. I'll be going to St. Lucia by cruise and will have from 9am to 4pm available. Is there an excursion I could take that leads me exactly where you are and then back to the cruise? I would like to be able to walk the beach and eat there as well. Thanks for any information!
Hi Richard! Trying to decide on St Lucia, the one thing I'm worried about is that the beaches won't be what we are looking for. It's hard to find good info on how the beaches/water is there. Looking for clear, calm, shallow water that my kids can feel safe in. Would St Lucia fit the bill?

I can't think of a place that is surrounded by so many high quality beaches like Barbados.
co-sign that. next time u go do a walk on Miami beach in Oistins i grew up 5 mins from that beach... i checked at least 20 of ur vids so far to see a variety of the different beaches u been to, but only a select few that i really, Really like. Cancun was up there also. i'll keep watching a few more, keep up the good work man.

Well, it definitely isn't cheap. The rich people or companies definitely did what they could to take advantage of this location. I see in the comments that the local people can't even get to the beach. I had a hard time getting here. Some people get here by taking a boat taxi.
Richard's World Traveler You see., That's why I look at videos. To avoid going to a place I would be miserable and also places that would be paradise. I don't necessarily critic your work but the location if it sucks in my point of view. Punta Cana is shit too for me.When it's too artificial and only for tourists looking to be isolated from real essence of a country,it sucks for me.
